Patriotic Ness by Carls493

It's been a long time since I last made a texture, and Independence Day 2014 gave me a reason to make a new one.

I finally unleash a Patriotic texture for Ness. This boy from Eagleland is in such a festive spirit that he can make his own fireworks!

Use him for Brawl or any of its mods as you want. Happy 4th of July!

Mystic Water Marth (Fontina's Colors) by Carls493 with credit to BeyondYou's Battlefield Falls
[Character - Texture - Marth]



This Marth texture is based on a character called Fontina (or Ricotta in the Japanese version), from a relatively-unknown Square Enix game called Musashi Samurai Legend.

Fontina and everyone else in her city are called Mystics, hence one part of this texture's name.

You can also refer to one of the signatures on my profile page, which also shows a bit of her and some of the other girls from the same game.

I was pending on making this for a while, because I thought that the colors of Fontina's clothes would translate well into Marth's clothes. I also thought this was the easiest to do out of all of the main characters of Musashi Samurai Legend towards the playable characters of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

The water theme I gave Marth is because Fontina is the Maiden of Water in MSL, which I also felt was perfect for Marth since his Up+B is called Dolphin Slash! Why not take that and run with it?

Hence, the other part of this texture's name, which also references a held Pokemon item in the process: MysticWater.

Marth's sword in particular is recolored to look more like a thinner version of the Sword of Water: A much-wider elemental sword that Fontina had to hide away and what Musashi gets to use after finding it for her.

Certain jewels on Marth & his sword feature the Water Sword's symbol to drive the point home further. It appears in MSL whenever Musashi has the Sword of Water equipped. There are 4 others he can use plus a Great Oar, but I thought Water would work the best for Marth. It contrast with both Roy & Ike's Fire.

Besides all of that, however, I haven't changed any of Marth's attacks or created any Water PSA movesets for him. I just used the ground water effects of one version of Battlefield Falls to highlight this texture's main theme even more. You can try this out if you want, and I might even give it a try myself.

If a CSP (Character Select Portrait) is to be made of this texture, and you are one of the very small few who already knew of Fontina before seeing this texture, please use a render of this Marth for it, not Fontina, herself. lol. I may even make this CSP myself.

You can see this Marth texture as a representation of an unrelated character, but even without that inspiration, you can also see this as a texture that can still stand on its own merits. It does looks nice after all, right?

Meta Zero Suit by Carls493

This texture was specifically made to go along with the Meta Knight-related texture that I made for the regular Samus.

I highly recommend that you use both textures in the same color slot, especially since the Power Suit Pieces she can pick up will have the exact same textures from the regular Meta Suit.

Meta Suit by Carls493
[Character - Texture - Samus]



I made this texture to give Samus an armor that was made to more easily combat Meta Knight.

Think Iron Man when he decides to bring out his Hulkbuster Armor against... The Hulk.

You can also make a Mega Man joke out of this where, having defeated Meta Knight, Samus has gained his power of being a top tier!

I've also changed the colors of Samus' missiles & bombs. The textured bombs are why the rar file containing this hack has a FitSamusMotion.pac file in it as well.

I've also made sure to change the colors of her Morph Ball as well.

This hack also comes with a Zero Suit Samus texture to match. I highly recommend that you use both in the same color slot. I've tested both forms, and they ARE capable of switching between each other without any problems.

But if you still have trouble, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Neku Sakuraba's Colors for Falco by Carls493

I had this idea in mind for awhile, and this was before I saw that recent awesome Marth hack of the real Neku.

Like with my Spirited Away/Chihiro-colored Lucas hack, I've given Falco colors that are based on Neku Sakuraba, the main protagonist of The World Ends With You.

Not everything was going to be 100% since Neku wears shorts & no sleeves. So I had to improvise and see how I could interpret that with Falco's long sleeves, pants, & boots.

I've also made the rectangular pin inside his jacket feature the Player Pin, and replace the Star Fox logo on his back with the CAT logo. His Blaster & Reflector are also black & white, just like the Player Pins.

His scouter is now blue instead of green, since that's the default color Neku has when he's reading people's minds and hunting for the Noise.

Finally, the rest of the Falco's headgear is meant to resemble Neku's headphones, mostly to the right side of Falco's face where the scouter is.

Simply put, if you main Falco, and you're TWEWY/Neku fan, this texture is DEFINITELY for you!

Morality Ike by Carls493

My texture of Ike that I based on the mindset that there is only Good & Evil, or morality views of Black & White.

However, the grey features of this texture, such as his eyes, hair, and blade, still prove that there can be some middleground, a neutral view.

Besides the "FitIke04" pac/pcs combo, there's also "FitIke.pac" & "FitIkeFinal.pac" files. They're just minor edits to his sword effects. You don't have to use them if you don't want to.

This is also based on the contrast between his "I fight for my friends" & "You'll get no sympathy from me" victory quotes. The 1st quote sounds kind & heroic, while the 2nd quote sounds rude & morbid. In Brawl, he can say both of these quotes to anyone else in the game.

"In this form, Ike decides who succeeds, and who perishes. The only side he's truly on is his own. Anyone can either be his friend or his enemy."

"That is the way of his selective Morality."

Famicom Ice Climbers by Carls493

I've wanted to do this for a while, so here it is!

This is based on the Famicom (Japanese NES) boxart for the "Ice Climber" game. It only has Nana on it, but I made a texture for Popo based on what I believed he would look like on it.

This isn't 100% accurate of the boxart look, but it's close enough.

This whole package is in a ".rar" file. "FitPopo00" means that Popo leads and Nana follows. "FitPopo01" means Nana leads and Popo follows.

Change the 2-digit numbers to whatever other alt color slot you want. Just don't mix the files up if you prefer one climber over the other!

This is also a bit of a model edit, because I removed some polygons that represented different layers of their parka's white fur. Since no bones were attached to them, this hack shouldn't desync on wifi, but I'm not sure.

Prototype Meta Knight (Version 1.0) by Carls493 with credit to Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition Artbook

This was all based on that image I recently found. It's a prototype design of Meta Knight from the artbook of the Special Edition of Kirby's Dream Collection.

As soon as I discovered this, I wanted to make a texture out of it, but unfortunately, I currently have no knowledge on how to edit the model. So no sharp mask or butterfly wings, here.

Despite that, I still did as much as I could to make this texture accurate to that artwork, except for the spotted sword.

When you download this, it will be in a RAR file. Extract it for the true contents.

The files "FitMetaKnight01.pac" & "FitMetaKnight01.pcs" represent the texture itself, while the "FitMetaKnight.pac" that's also in the RAR file contains the edited texture and color of Meta Knight's sword effects. This will affect all of Meta Knight's colors if you put it in your game.

I encourage someone out there to take this texture, and try to make it exactly like the official artwork through their own modeling skills.

If you do, please give me credit for at least starting the basis of this texture.

Ashley's Song (English/Japanese Combination) by Carls493

Through the use of being a brstm, the English version of this song plays first. When it loops back to the start, it should seamlessly play the Japanese version instead.

Then when that's done, it'll loop back to the English version again. The preview video only has the English to Japanese change.

Mike's Song (English/Japanese Combination) by Carls493

This one had a different approach compared to my "Ashley" & "Mona Pizza" music hacks. This time, the English & Japanese versions of Mike's Song play together as a duet.

Compared to the other two songs, this one works really good as a duet. As if the different singers of both versions are actually singing together.

This combo song should loop as accurately as both, unedited songs would on their own.

Default Overalls Colors for Biker by Carls493

I gave Biker Wario the original Purple & Yellow colors of his regular overalls. It was my way of trying to blend the two themes together.

I might do this in reverse and try to give Overalls Wario the colors of his default Biker outfit. I might also do this for his other Overalls colors.

The "HURRY UP!" on the back of his jacket is left completely untouched.

Chihiro's Colors for Lucas by Carls493

I based this texture off the colors of the casual clothes of Chihiro, the heroine of the Ghibli movie, "Spirited Away". You'll need to have some basic knowledge of that movie to understand this hack a bit.

I could've actually wrote this off as a random palette swap, but then I found inspiration towards it.

Using Chihiro as a reference, I changed the colors of Lucas' striped shirt, shorts, and shoes so his clothes would match up with hers.

I also color-changed Rope Snake to be a very simple representation of Haku's Dragon Form. I might add to it some other time.

What made me think that Lucas was similar to Chihiro is that they both start out adorably shy at the beginning, only to get braver later on and more capable of solving the issues that appeared before them in order to save the ones they love.

Knowing that, this texture looks kinda girly on Lucas. I won't ignore that, but I also thought that making this would be cute joke to pull, so I went with it anyway.

Get past the girlishness, and you still have a simple-but-nice palette swap here for the shy little guy that's based on a shy little girl.

Because of Lucas' shirt, I highly recommend that you use this as a "Green Team" color: FitLucas02

to summarize, I made this texture because I thought it was a cute and funny idea.

Patriotic Mario by Carls493

A long time ago, I originally was going to make Mario's brown hair lighter. I didn't like it, so I was going to forget about the whole texture and scrap it from there.

Lately, however, I decided to draw some inspiration from the character "Uncle Sam" and his usually white hair.

So I made Mario's hair, as well as his eyebrows and fancy mustache, white. His mustache looks like a curvy, fluffy cloud that's stuck to his upper lip. Haha.

His skin is also a bit paler, and I made sure that all of his props were recolored for more reds, whites, and blues. This includes his Warp Pipe (FitMarioEntry.pac), his FLUDD (FitMario.pac), and his Cape, which I almost successfully made into the American Flag (FitMarioMotionEtc.pac).

The way making custom textures work meant that making the "flag" asymmetrical would either be, at least, difficult, at most, impossible.

Those three files names come with the main texture in a rar file. Unzipped the thing to reach them all.

There are also a few minor details, such as the emblem on his gloves like the ones Sonic has on his, as shown in the 2nd preview image.

Expect Luigi to get similar-but slightly different treatment for all of this.

I don't know why I haven't uploaded this texture as soon as I got done with it, because I made it a couple months ago.

Unlike my other Patriotic textures, this one for Sonic could be used to reference how he's seemingly more popular in America than his series' original native Japan.

It helps that he was already painted like an American flag BEFORE I texturized him, so that's cool.

I gave him this song I liked, which very quickly motivated me enough to turn it into a brstm for Brawl.

It may need to be tweaked a bit, but at the very least it should be near-perfect.

Super Ice Mario Beta by Carls493

The texture isn't mine. It's just to emphasize this PSA.

I had this hack planned since last year. Now I can finally release a prototype version. I'm certain there were other Ice Mario PSA's released before this one. I just went on my own and gave Mario his Ice abilities, and went further by altering some of the other things he can do.

There are several changes to Mario's moves, their cooldown time, a couple potential combos & mindgames, and recolored fire, among other things I was testing. This is why the hack is called "Super Ice Mario" instead of just "Ice Mario".

Check the Youtube video for more details on nearly the entire hack.

Just play around with it, because this won't be the final version. If I had some help I could probably finish this up by changing Mario's Fireballs and Final Smash into Ice-type projectiles. Does anyone know how to do that? I could use the help.

Also, the composer of this game's entire soundtrack is Noriyuki Iwadare, who arranged some music for Brawl, such as "Meta Knight's Revenge", "Yoshi's Island", and Fire Emblem's "With Mila's Divine Protection (Celica Map1)". Enjoy.
