Okay, so it wasn't my final version. v1.5 was designed in tandem with Echo Blade Zelda, and I think I've worked out all of the kinks this time. Hopefully.

So, I finally made a perfected Echo Blade Sheik, no more glitches, and smaller file size! Awesome.

Changes:
- Sleeker, more awesome sword. -

Messing around with Phantom's sword code and Sheik's unique effect, I got a cool result.

The Echo Blade. I stole Phantom Mario's fire sword, edited the graphic to replace the fires with Sheik's 'Echo' [from the Down-B, not a clue what its real name is] effect. This is the result.

It starts fading right after the 'circle' animation.

Afterimages ftw!

Like Sheik's weapon attack, it strikes twice. I've changed its effect to electricity; the first strike stuns/trips them, setting up for the second killer strike.

Explanation [kinda]:

In short, I stole it from Phantom Mario. If you look at his Mario.pac, the 4F, 50, 53, 56, 57, 58, 5A, and 5B are rerouted to sword animation; these were originally variations of side-tilt and F-smash.

I stole the GFX from 56[? I think] and threw on Sheik's 56: like Mario, I made all of her subactions pertaining to the F-smash redirect to her sword animation.

See, Sheik doesn't have the 'External Graphic' fire that Mario has, so I used the 'external graphic' from her Down-B, which are rings. I put the rings values into the 'file' and 'graphic' section of every 'external graphic'.

Then, after a few tech errors, I simply copied and pasted my 'echo sword' graphics onto 56, 58, and 5B, which are F-smash start, F-smash, and Charge f-smash, respectively.

An example of what I did. These values are all from the fire sword, except the fire was substituted for the rings. Every ring has its own line, and the offsets give it the sword shape.

I love how only Sheik and Zelda are the only ones with this effect; its like her personal weapon, meant to be exploited. =P

WOW!!! Impressive work!!! i'll see if i can give kirby something cool when i start editing him. you know, you should make a whole moveset for shiek, then make a texture to match that moveset. that's what i'm doing for my hacks

Is there any way someone could further explain how the switching of the forward smash and all the SubActions related to it with the Swing4 and all its related SubActions works? Because I've been looking back and forth between 3 different files (Sheik's, PMario's, and My Sheik's) and I'm unable to come up with how it's done...

This Sheik is great so far... but i have a question...
the way you have the blade set up. would it be possible to add the graphic to both hands?
i added what you put into my ganon just to see and when i fought a sheik the Echoblade Came out (pretty pimp)

but with the way my ganon is set up i was thinkin it would look great from both hands

That reminds me, shouldn't there be a list of bone values somewhere? Nice job, making 5 smash attacks just shows how in depth this moveset is.

I know that you made her fall like a rock to maintain balance but I need to her be able to jump a lot higher for cooler fight scenes and stuff (the fact that I'm using B+ for recording makes the falling even worse xD)

As for moves being overpowerd I think you would need to do the same thing for Echo Wave I have to do with Flame Wave once we're able to mess around with animation speed. Making the move have more endlag that is.

Was he using a large character? At most, he should be able to rack about 8 damage before the character leaves the hitbox, at which point he should use the Up-Smash. The Up-Smash itself already had two hitboxes originally which would easily hit large characters for 30 damage. In my opinion the charging is rather hard to land, but if it seems too powerful I'll look into it.

I just tested it a bit and it works great for me. I actually dont see any noticable differences (or maybe that's just because i'm using the wii remote). I dont currently have any Zelda PSA's either, so i'm not sure how well that works.

ok so I was playing around today in Brawl, and during a 4 player match in Temple, the moment that Shiek used her Final Smash, the game froze. then it happened a second time. so after the 2nd crash, I decided to test it to see if it was really a problem with Shiek's final smash. I had no problems when I tested it with a single character in training mode. But when I tested it out in a 4 player mode (2 shieks, 2 snakes), the moment the CPU used the Final Smash, the game crashed, making this loud beep. I re-tested it with 4 shieks, and the same thing happens. thought I should bring this up.

...Really? That's strange 0_o You sure you're using v1.5? Because for fun I was watching 4 EB Sheiks/Zeldas duke it out with FS Balls on, and every Final Smash worked perfectly. I've never encountered this @.@

This is weird 'cuz I purposely never touched her Final Smash for fear of this. I guess all I can say is redownload Sheik v1.5 and see if you run into the same problem. If you do, I've got work to do. -.-

Could someone else test this themselves? Just the Final Smash I mean [w/ more than one EB Sheik present]. I wanna confirm it's more than one person with this problem.

yeah, I actually re-downloaded it and tested it again before I posted. it MAY be because i'm using the Brawl+ code, i think version 5.0. I read on the Onslaught Captain Falcon thread that the Final Smash freezes on that code, except for the previous official Brawl+ code that didnt allow music to be played. so this COULD be the problem. it's probably something worth looking into before actually doing so much work.

which code set do you use for brawl?

I still use Brawl+ 4.1B: I haven't tested 5.0 yet. I run 4.1B with File Patch 3.5.1, so like everything works. If it's an issue with 5.0, there's not much I can do yet.

EDIT #3:  Ok it does seem to be a problem with the newest version of Brawl+ (5.0). I tried it on 4.1 and no problems seem to occur with Shiek's final smash.

The solution to this for Brawl+ 5.0 users is to remove the "Throw Modifier [The Paprika Killer]" code. It prevents the game from freezing when you use Captain Falcon PSA's and Sheik's Final Smash (4 player mode). Took a while to figure out which one was causing the problem, but at least it's working fine now =]

if you can already use texture hacks, then just rename the files just like the textures, except without the numbers. for example, for sheik textures, it would be called FitSheik00, FitSheik01, FitSheik02. For movesets, it would just be FitSheik, without the numbers.

Which codeset are you using? I'm pretty sure these dont work with Balanced Brawl. It didnt when I tried. Try using the brawl+ codeset. I'll edit this post with a link to the newest Brawl+ 5.0 codeset without the "Throw Modifier" code in there in just a moment, since it freezes the game when some final smashes are used (including this one). And the 4.1B codeset with the File Patch 3.5.1 code in it, in case you dont like the changes they made with 5.0.

Edit: Here's a small edit for Brawl+ codesets, version 5.0 and 4.1. On 5.0, I just removed the "Throw Modifier" code that freezes the game when you use Final Smashes with characters like Captain Falcon and Echo Blade Sheik (4 player mode). On 4.1, I just added the "File Patch Code V3.5.1" that enables you to play with custom music. These are all used for NTSC versions of the game.

Brawl+ 5.0:

Both of these codesets should work just fine with Sheik's final smash in a 4 player match.

Possibly. I'm working on a combo-ish Neutral B, basically relocating the F-Tilt [with more versatility] onto the B. I'm giving her super armor instead, and depending on your input you get a different attack. I dunno, it should be interesting.

The aerial B, for now, stays the same =P

So if I do this, anyone have a good animation for a new F-Tilt?

Which codeset are you using? I'm pretty sure these dont work with Balanced Brawl. It didnt when I tried. Try using the brawl+ codeset. I'll edit this post with a link to the newest Brawl+ 5.0 codeset without the "Throw Modifier" code in there in just a moment, since it freezes the game when some final smashes are used (including this one). And the 4.1B codeset with the File Patch 3.5.1 code in it, in case you dont like the changes they made with 5.0.

Edit: Here's a small edit for Brawl+ codesets, version 5.0 and 4.1. On 5.0, I just removed the "Throw Modifier" code that freezes the game when you use Final Smashes with characters like Captain Falcon and Echo Blade Sheik (4 player mode). On 4.1, I just added the "File Patch Code V3.5.1" that enables you to play with custom music. These are all used for NTSC versions of the game.

Brawl+ 5.0:

Both of these codesets should work just fine with Sheik's final smash in a 4 player match.

i'm not sure, i dont know much about codes. but i removed each code manually to see which one was causing the issue, and that seemed to be the one.

its great but sheik Regular B move is no where as good as it used to be i miss the needles
they helped alot when the opponet was off the edge
