I ended up deciding not to download it. I'll wait a bit to see if someone improves it soon, since I'm pretty much out of free slots on Link.

But it looks great, the best genderswap posted on Brawlvault besides Female Marth (Shinobu).

Mah true, I was thinking along the lines of comedic effect (considering how popular the genderswap is) rather than sex appeal, but yeah...guess if the tunic she has on now is almost too tight already I'd have to agree ^_^;; Still lol it would be an interesting touch (the hair not the breasts)

Eh. I won't continue working on this in a long time, and most people complaining don't even hack. So I think waiting is just pointless.
...really, the only person so far that has criticised this of whom I think that he actually might be able to improve this is Pik.

I love Female link and Dual wielded Ganon. I love how u figured out about the armor/sword thing. Female Link is amazing! The vertexes are simply Awesome

Hey, is it okay if I edit the texture some for link-chan? I wasn't gonna do much, maybe try to make his outfit look more skirt/dress-ish and maybe try to fix the hair X_X I make no promises on quality as I'm kinda suckish at it.

Hey Unglück, Is it okay if you send me the link model (the actual vertexes that u changed)? I was thinking of maybe making him  look more like a her, like vertex the clothes a little to make it more skirt ish. But meh, I'm not that good lol so you're probably better asking pic or lookitslink :3
Also, my game froze on stage five of classic mode?

Haha it's kinda like a birthday preasent to me ^+^ I always wanted a girl link XP an acurate one anyway.

Maybe I'll make a clear texture for the shield that he holds. That way the sheild works properly but you don't have to stare at it :3

Because I know hexed out means "removed" XD I was just making sure about it not being in game(in functionality) just in case cause link without his shield would be kinda...yeah xD

Don't forget that if you hex out any polygon, ais will be unable to create a dae file. So you should hold off on removing any polygons until after your vertex is complete.

Hm-hm. Then please tell me why exactly I had no problems with creating .dae files, and even got the model in question to work perfecty in-game, even though I did hex out parts before I started the vertexing.

Ahem, anyway...
A new preview of the model. Progress is pretty good, I only need to edit the arms, heads and remove Wolf's thumbs... though that last one will probably be hard as hell.
Even though, I might finish the model tomorrow.

I think I've already made far too much progress with this one than just scratch this Wolf version. I have already thought about this in detail, the only thing that would cause problems are hands and boots.
In addition to that I think that turning that thing on Wolf's back into Amaterasu's reflector should be easier than turning Ivysaur's bulb into it.

The fact that Ivysaur is rather easy to hack might be true, but I for my part think that the fact that it belongs to Pokémon Trainer makes it just not notable enough. Wolf on the other hand is just himself, and can be just used as himself.
(Plus I think that there are not enough good hacks for Wolf :P )

So, in short: I want to finish this. If it doesn't turn out good enough, though, I will however have a look at Ivysaur for Amaterasu.

Well if you include My Reshiram, Your N and Pokabu..
we only need a 5th Gen Pokemon vertex over Squirtle and thats a full 5th Gen Trainer.
Infact if you used StarWaffle's Piplup as a base you could pull off Mijimaru within seconds.

Glad to hear that Beast Ganon is getting such a positive reception.
I should however point one thing out... I'm not quite sure when I'll be done with him, seeing as I'll have to come up with ideas on how to design his armor myself.

I would also like to announce that once he's done, he'll be released with about two or three alternate textures.

Alright... several preview snapshots showcasing the texture this time.
I'd say that I'm about done with the texture (except for some details, like making use of the Gold_mask texture), but I'm currently open for suggestions on what to change about the texture, or on what to add in to it.

That Beast Ganon is awesome.  I'm working on a Lttp Pig Ganon on DDD. I think I'll use recolored textured from Ganondorf as well. It should give it a bit more quality than I could do on my own. Good luck with the rest of it.

For those who have gone stir crazy over the lore (because the timeline and canonicity of any one games dialogue) or are just too young:

Ganon was already a beast. His pig-like form is the form of the Moblins that follow him. He created a drow-warrior form in OoT, just as he created a Shadow Link in ZELDA II and Aganon (however it is spelled, from the SNES game.) Ahganim or whatever was considered a separate sorcerer but when I was a child I assumed HE was just the 'Link's Awakening's Ganon.'
--Up to that point every game had a diff spelling:
-Ganon
-Gannon
It was revealed that like Ganon's Phantom Form (in later games), Aganhim was only there to do Ganon's bidding while he was away.

ONE TIME Ganon came back as a Drow. Since OoT was SO popular (deservingly so) NOW Ganondorf has become the character and Ganon has become "Beast Form Ganondorf."

Dorf was added because he's desert drow now. He's still just Ganon. This wouldn't have happened if Nintendo had stopped using the Dorf motif repeatedly, or at least gave Ganon a new Ganon(     )  every sequel.


THE POINT!?
I wanted Ganon in Smash Bros 1 before I ever wanted Ganondorf.
Now that you are doing your Beast Form Ganondorf I CAN FINALLY HAVE GANON!!! (Beast Form Ganon would technically be the Final Smash, not so much the man)

Well, for being far, I think they more or less had to introduce Ganondorf, otherwise Ganon would've been way to similar to Bowser, as both were just animal-themed beasts that kidnapped princesses to take over their kingdoms.
And a fun little fact: The word "dorf" is actually german for "village".

Anyway... the release for Beast Ganon is now on Friday, since I most likely won't be able to make it tomorrow due to some personal problems.

about ganondorf i dont remember where, nor do i remember if it was oficial or fanfic, but it said that before OoT, ganon (a beast) literally f*ck*d a gerudo (of course the text didnt say that, but we all know how we get children, and that dorf, meant "son of"...

Ganon and Ganondorf are the same person. Always have been, always will be. Ganon is not some overarching demon. That was definitely not official.

Welllll Ganon was the first name he was referred to as. He wasn't called Ganondorf until Ocarina of Time. Plus when his monster form comes out to play it's called Ganon.
Gannon was a misspelling present only in the instruction booklets of a few of the games.
The two names refer to his two forms: Ganondorf, the human form, and Ganon, his true form (never officially called his true form, but I interpret it that way because Ganon came first in the games).

Sorry about the double post, but I found an error with Beast Ganon.  Some of his attacks revert the face back to normal.  This needs to be fixed up, and I know it can be done, since LenSho's Black Shadow doesn't have that issue.

Finally get to bump this...
After being too lazy for a while, I got back to work for a little, and can now throw out some more previews... for Issun and Wind Waker Ganondorf.
Though, I need to know whether WW Ganondorf's robes look ok like that, since actually fixing the way they currently look would be just an annoying process.

As for the poll, this one isn't to decide whether I'll make these things, but rather when I'll make them, since I want to do all of them one day.

It doesn't need alot done, but I'd make the face wider and shorter...

Face could be more recognizable by rounding the mouth/jaw area a bit more instead of it being so long.

So far, it seems you've only (noticeably) edited the eyes and the mouth.

Like spirit said, the jaw should be different. You should also edit the nose. It kind of just looks like Marth with big eyes atm.

The face is getting a closer, as I said already I don't like the mouth but I'm not sure if flattening the lips would work. Something about the face still looks like Marth, though. I just can't put my finger on it.

Though something else I noticed, the strawhat seems a bit too big compared to the head. I'd make it a tad smaller and lower it a little. As for the scar, I think Aafyre managed to make scars from Marth's hair. Maybe you could add the scar that way?

You should be safe with either polygons 17 or 18 to do that. Those are the ones I used for Edward's antennae and his ponytail respectively.

I, like, started exporting Luffy. Aside from, like, some minor fixes, he's pretty much done, so he'll, like, most likely be released on Sunday.

Oh, and by the way.
The final release will, like, include an alternate with a sword - specifically the one he used as Nightmare Luffy at the end of the Thriller Bark arc.

Cape is made from the scarf, which is why I've kept it, like, as long as it is right now. I think it's actually, like, longer, but I think animations would mess up more if I brought it to its actual length.

The hair parting needs to be brought more to the left in the preview (Sheik's right side), and lengthened and brought to more of a point.

And the cape in the back should be able to stretch to its actual length without animation problems (just occasional clipping). In the front though there'll be lots of clipping unless you pull the end of it forward more. Think about how Sheik stands (slightly hunched wait stance) and fix it accordingly.

Test the vertex with the character's motion file as you work so you know the true limitations of things before you assume something's changed too much.


Also, voted for Ness/Lucas for the Lucas half of it. He has a lot of hair to play with.

At the moment, he looks adorable.   Moreso than Toon Link and even Toon Zelda.  But he shouldn't.....

Most of that problem lies with the eyes, which obviously you haven't edited yet but some of the problem also lies in that smirk on his face.  Vaati should look somewhat menacing and intimidating.  I think a subtle frown would work better for his default expression (one like in this picture):

As far as additional model edits go, his pants should be puffier but apart from that I can't really give much verdict because of the stupid shield in the way covering up a lot of his body @.@

Eyes have already been taken care of. I decided to simply-reuse the one from my previous one, since doing that saves me a lot of trouble.

Also, shield and sheath removed, sword reformed and retextured.

Concerning the pants... I don't think I can make them puffer, because doing that also makes Toon Link's tunic wider, and that'd only look stupid.

Anyway... only thing left to do now is puting a scar in place of the right eye and finishing the texture for that gem-stuff on his hat.

Look at the second image I posted. It already does look kinda stupid there. If I were to make them as wide as they're supposed to be, it would look just plain dumb.

And I still need to work on the golden thingy, so I guess I can as well lower it...

Pretty much done with Vaati, most likely gonna release him tomorrow.

Third picture is only to show off the scarred eye I put in place of his actual right eye. Can't do anything about the hair moving like it does in that picture without disabling bones, which I don't really plan on doing since it's only a minor issue, and this entire thing supposed to be Wifi safe.

Preview of Ghirahim is in the OP, and as it says there, the texture is mostly WIP. Would like to have some opinions for those... =3

Oh, and by now I've decided that I really am going to make Felix from Golden Sun...
And I decided to remake my old Lust hack, since I've got several ideas on how to improve it by now.

...And it's now decided that I'll change my OP... though I don't know how yet. But I'll come up with something... somehooooooow...

My biggest issue right now is the head. It doesnt look like you did much to it model wise. Ghirahims hair comes from the top and parts from the center down over his face. Looks like all you did was remove a bang and stretch the other one. Also if I remember correctly there should be something you could use for the earrings. Also the eyes need to be larger or the purple portion around it needs to be, I can't remember how his eyes are atm.

The scarf looks nice. The rest of the texture still looks rather flat, but I know it's still a w.i.p.

Texture is just a first attempt on it, and model edits are definitely far from done. But I think for a start...

I like it so far, but is 3DMax making the hair look glitchy?

3DS Max ignores transparency on the hair textures, and just displays it in Ike's default hair color - so right now, I don't really have an idea how it will actually look after exporting.
But I'm quite confident that it should come out right...

His textures are barely done... for the most part, they're really just Ike's. The only part of his textures that are done is his cape and scarf. Everything else will still be edited.

At the moment, he still looks too much like Ike to me. Sleeves need to be shorter and turned up at an angle. Tunic should be made slightly baggier and pants need to be bagged up as well.

Have you done anything to the face yet? Since I feel that's the most important thing besides the hair. Lookin at pics of him, Felix has a more pronounced forehead not huge but larger than Ikes and his eyes are more angular.

Well, it's obvious that you can't tell from one pic alone, but it really does animate. Only reason it's standing up in that pic is because he's in the middle of his turning animiation.

Hm... Maybe you should make a new set of irises for Felix? This would make him look less like Ike... Perhaps you could look at Issac's assist trophy for reference? Since well... They are from the same series.

Also, if at all possible, make the bottom of his hair jagged, I'm not 100% sure if that's impossible with the model as it is now, or not... So... Yeah... I'd say focus on the eye texture, and other bits.

Hmm, to me it mostly looks like it needs texture fixes and the hair that sticks up is too large...  there also seems to be some sort of ike hair still remaining there and going to the wrong side... yeah so just fix the top parts of his hair and the textures and it should come out awesome ^^ if the cape could be moved closer to his arm that'd be awesome too.

That general area still reminds me of ike and it would probably look better going the other way (mirrored). The hair sticking out at the top would look better if it was made skinnier but I guess that can be fixed with texturing and yeah.. That's about it... It all looks great apart from that and some easily fixable texture stuff (looks to saturated IMO)

Felix is my fav golden sun character so I guess that's why I'm being kinda picky about it XD

But honestly, I don't think I can really do much more about this. Ike's hair is a pain to both model and texture, so I don't really think that I can get it much more accurate.
As for the textures, I myself am not really a fan of unsaturated textures like Zelda and Ganondorf have them... I just hate how that looks. So... not going to change much about that, either.

...But y'know, I'm actually kinda surprised that so many people like the Artwork sword... I mean, at the time I made it, I really just wanted to get done with everything as fast as possible, and didn't even pay that much attention to the details anymore.

Anyway... I think next I'll go back to working on Ghirahim and Lust... I've put the former into the backseat for long enough now.
As for other future projects, I can say that I'm going to make a collab with Miacis at one point in the future to make Sveta from Golden Sun: The Dark Dawn (http://goldensunwiki.net/images/3/31/Stella.png).
Other than that... I'm thinking about revamping BlackBoo's Onox and Veran (moreso the former), and maybe doing Kamina before Vish or Aafyre get the chance to do so.

Also I contest your post good sir. Dragonball isn't bad. It's overhyped yes, but I personally find it more interesting than bleach, and One Piece was garbage. But I haven't seen more than a few episodes that aired on Toonami. But first impressions are important.

Bottom line, Dragonball isn't bad, IMO better and easier to follow than bleach and way better than One piece, which was garbage.

Oh god, the stupidity I just pretended to spew just destroyed my braincells. Is this how they feel all the time? I loved Dragonball Z when I was like 8, and it is kind of fun to have Trunks for nostalgia, though I will not even attempt to defend that it was a good show. One episode has about 20 seconds of content. Bleach is definitely better (though the filler is painful). Can't speak for One Piece as I haven't yet started it, though I plan to soon, and have high hopes for it. I honestly haven't watched a shonen anime in like forever; like everything I've seen in the past 6 months has been seinen.

I am looking forward to your Gilgamesh, and congrats on getting like the most commented blog post in history.

Or rather as much done as I'm willing to do about this. I just can't do too much with Sheik, and considering that the model importer is most likely done soon, I'm not too motivated to make a character that'll have a model available in little over a month. <_<
But I'll still finish this, and an alternate Marth version. . .

Girahim is probably as good as you're going to get with sheik. That's what sucks, Sheik's not exactly good for hacks, but she'll probably be awesome for imports.

Doing characters from other series actually does limit my options a bit then, since I only do characters I actually like and that don't have 3D appearances/high quality 3D appearances.

Yah, another in-game preview of Ghirahim. Has been a while.
I'll probably release him like that as well, since with the model importer released, and Skyward Sword being a few weeks away from release, I don't see much of a point in continuing with him. . .
Won't exactly be my best work that way, but still far from my worst.

Plus, I don't really feel like doing entire models myself from scratch and then import those. . . for that kind of thing, I just don't have enough confidence.

Face so far was definately easier than I expected, though.

Well, it's not that bad.
But it still is rather sick.
Basically, he teleports behind Link without the latter realizing it, leans over his shoulder, and then sort of. . . sticks out his ridicilously long tongue.  But, he doesn't exactly touch Link with it, he just sort of. . . flails around with it.

Final version will have shades, I only disabled them in this preview so that you can get a better view of his face.

Not very helpful. How about you tell me what part of the texture exactly is weird? That'd help a bit more, y'know.
As for the hair. . . Kamina's hair isn't exactly all that spiky, so I'm not really going to change much as far as that goes.

He has holes in his face/head, I guess that's probably because you used the bandanna for the glasses?

Yes, yes it is.
And now I'm having some trouble closing the holes with his hair. . . but it'll work out somehow.

Anyway. . .
I'm not exactly sure whether I'll be able to make his arms perfectly fit together model-wise, so that they don't look weird during animations, so that might become a flaw that'll still be in the released version.
Oh, and the only alternate versions I'm gonna make will be shades, and shadesless.
Just sayin'.

The hair is great, I know how much of a pain Ike's hair is to edit so I'm impressed, it's much better than Felix's hair was.

It's just that Ike's FS eyes make them even more bright and glowy, more so than I think they should be, in relation to his normal eyes atleast.

Mh. Wasn't exactly too sure about the Final Smash Eyes, but I guess it won't hurt too much if I made them still somewhat darker. Y'know, in the first version where I tried them out, you actually couldn't even see the spiral stuff due to how bright they got. . .
And yeah. . . I think Ike isn't exactly the best character for having long hair. But still, considering the limitations, I think Felix' hair came out alright.

As for the UV stuff. . . I'd try that, but I've actually never done that sort of thing before o.o'
