Title: Witch hat Jigglypuff (new project: Konata, deciding on weapon) Post by: Taigiry on December 12, 2010, 11:40:47 AM Finally I'm able to do more than just textures. I started vertex editing. Obviously I'm not very good, I just started, but I hope to improve over time. Well, no one cares about boring introductions anyway, so I'll just skip this.
Witch hat Jigglypuff: My first vertex edit. It helped me to get used to 3DS Max. At this point, I tried to come up with something more I could say about this. Unfortunately, I couldn't. My next project is on Mario. I don't know when it'll be finished and maybe I'll revamp my Dededoo after I'm done with Mario. This post is still so empty. You just beat 40% of all vertex hackers right now. Title: Re: Vertex editing is so much more fun than texture editing Post by: Professor Fufflykins on December 12, 2010, 02:14:06 PM I'd say 70%
Title: Re: Vertex editing is so much more fun than texture editing Post by: SiLeNtDo0m on December 12, 2010, 02:21:47 PM That's really good! What are you talking about? I think it looks rather adorable and it suits Jiggly nicely. And considering that it's your first vertex you did a great job ;D
Title: Re: Vertex editing is so much more fun than texture editing Post by: Taigiry on December 12, 2010, 02:52:47 PM Thanks everyone. It's nice to hear that.

Title: Re: Vertex editing is so much more fun than texture editing Post by: Legendary Super Mario on December 14, 2010, 02:35:56 AM I never imagined Jigglypuff could still look cute even while wearing a witch's hat... It's quite adorable.
Well done! Title: Re: Vertex editing is so much more fun than texture editing Post by: hotdogturtle on December 14, 2010, 10:02:13 AM Which hat is that?
Edit: No pun intended =/ Title: Re: Vertex editing is so much more fun than texture editing Post by: Taigiry on December 14, 2010, 12:56:31 PM I made it out of her straw hat, if that's what you wanted you know.

Anyway, I added a little poll, because I can't really decide on what to do next. The choices are Lip/Furil (they look pretty much the same) (http://wiimedia.ign.com/wii/image/article/809/809770/02_Lip_1185970447.jpg) over Peach, Konata (http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/1676/konatak.jpg) over Toon Link or to revamp Dededoo (http://www.brawlinthefamily.com/comics/2008-11-12-103-Dededoo.jpg) (old) (http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/525/al0911302000binout.jpg) Edit: I forgot to say that voting will be closed after 24 hours. Title: Re: Witch hat Jigglypuff (deciding on a new project) Post by: Legendary Super Mario on December 15, 2010, 09:58:45 PM I remember requesting Konata and Kagami over Toon Link a while back...
So obviously, I'm rooting for Konata! Title: Re: Witch hat Jigglypuff (deciding on a new project) Post by: toastoftriumph on December 16, 2010, 09:44:06 AM I think Dededoo would be really awesome. A vertex with his mustache would look amazing.
How do you plan to do his jacket? Currently his wool coat isn't in the proper shape to make the jacket look accurate; his coat only comes around in front out to his sides. Title: Re: Witch hat Jigglypuff (deciding on a new project) Post by: hotdogturtle on December 16, 2010, 12:34:30 PM I believe that someone made this (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=13601) as a model for Dededoo, but nobody has made the texture yet.
Title: Re: Witch hat Jigglypuff (deciding on a new project) Post by: Taigiry on December 16, 2010, 01:34:04 PM It seems that Konata won the voting. To be honest, I didn't really expect this outcome. This raises another question, which sword do you prefer:
this rapier (it's a rapier, right?) (http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/3182/unbenanntnrn.png) or the Nietono no Shana (http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/229/738f692ea158a77ff7b5033.jpg) I think Dededoo would be really awesome. A vertex with his mustache would look amazing. I'm no sure, but making a proper jacket wouldn't be impossible. How do you plan to do his jacket? I have a very old Dededoo texture that I made last year, though I'm not sure if the download link still works.Title: Re: Witch hat Jigglypuff (new project: Konata, deciding on weapon) Post by: FlaminFreak on January 28, 2011, 04:42:14 PM woot konata ftw XD
