Super Mario Bros. 3 Cloud Stage (On Hold)

Already finished the song for this stage. You can find it in my vault plus a preview of the level. Its going to basically be a level where you fight on clouds. Many in the backround will be animated, and after awhile they will clear up revealing an overworld. To get an idea, think something like world 5 from the game. Its gonna be good!

hey i made a Yoshis Island 2D stage cause I love that game.  :happy:
Anyway its my first stage ever and Im just doing it as a stepping stone into the world of brawl hacks.

My first 3D level! This level is based on the Big Boo Fort from Yoshis Island. Well its based on most of the castle levels in that game. Has an animated Boo, and lots of 3D stuff so check it out! I also made a song in collab with Halc9bit to go with the stage. Check my vault for the song:

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

A fully animated battle between Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth! Over 2000 frames long, and is about 30 seconds of animation, I'd say it turned out pretty good. Although the pictures here dont do the level "justice"   :af:.

Vs. Baby Bowser
My last Yoshis Island stage. And what a way to go! The final fight from Yoshis Island. Replicated to the best of my ability. After some falling rocks Bowser shows up and causes some real chaos by destroying platforms. Look out Yoshi! You dont want to be caught standing on one when the boulder falls. Luckily some handy red arrows will alert you before hand.

When I looked at the stage-making guide I don't think I would ever be able to make one; it looks too difficult.

Well just the whole thing in general. I tried reading the guide several times but I just couldn't grasp anything at all.

Wow; it did. Well, now I know how to make 2D stages now lol. But where do you get all the backgrounds, the stage, etc? Like where did you get the stuff for your stage? Did you rip it from the game or something? If so, how do you do that? Screen-shot it?

That WackaAlpaca guy sure is helpful. I'll have to refer to him more in the future. It'd be pretty awesome if I could start making stages.

The video tells you how to switch out the pictures provided. I think theres a way to make multiple backgrounds for a 2d stage. But Im not gonna bother because 3d is more important.

I suggest you make one 2d stage and then move on to 3d stages.

I just looked through it less then an hour ago and it seems like everything you and I will need.

As for the stage all I used was this:

I simply used paint and did a bunch of copy and pasting to make the square part.
Then I zoomed in a bunch and blended the pasted parts together so it looked natural.

as for ripping stuff from other games (like all the mario kart stages we are seeing) there is a program called wiiscrubber i think, and somehow that allows you to pull files from other games. I havnt looked into it yet.

Im really flattered. Thanks! Also I updated the stage a little. Nothing new, just fixed the death boundaries because K.O.s are really easy on the left and right side. So now it should be a little better.

Do you think you could pass over/ upload the SSP and name? Some other folks might want it too! (Like me) lol

Thanks Specter, idk what it is but i can spend hours making stages. I cant do anything else for that long besides video games lol.

So can I -- it took me like two days to make my first 2D one. It's just learning how to make hacks is what I hate doing. But when it actually comes to making them usually I can devote hours.

Yup. 15 seconds of animation so far. But 2 frames are not showing up for some reason. I need mewtwo to help me with that but he hasnt responded yet.

Well, technically Radical Highway is a collab between him and me. I imported the models, he's making a stage of them.

And let me tell you, those models were a pain to import!

Glad to see your adding more objects. you should still place the road texture to it's SA2 original though if you can, looks strange. Don't forget the blimp!

The road texture was put in as a placeholder for me :/
The road texture doesn't look the same as it does in BrawlBox, either.

Still looks kind of funky in game.

Just saw the preview for the vs. baby bowser stage man and all I have to say is that sh*t is epic man. :srs: It's been a while since I've been genuinely impressed with a stage. Keep it up man. ;D

Im gonna try and add the little things that make you run faster (the conveyor belt things)
some more boxes down on the street and more construction signs as well.
Mabye a ramp but thats all I can think of.

These all sound like good ideas... I can't wait to see which ones end up being used! (Hopefully all of them, lol)

Those ideas are excellent, the only thing that I could think of to do next would be the camera to move. Otherwise this stage sounds amazing so far.

I've got work 4 days in a row so don't expect any progress till tuesday.

You had me waiting long enough for this stage man, but it was worth it. It has everything a want from a stage; intricate animations, unique idea, unique layout that actually makes sense and isn't just a bunch of random platforms added just so you can say it isn't flat. Keep it up man.

The stage collisions are slightly off and people seem to be falling through weird spots so im going to try and fix that right away so make sure you get the new version which will be up tonight probably.

That sounds great! Cause I remember showing this off to a few friends of mine in a 4-player match before you released it to the public and Ike fell at the beginning for some reason. I'm glad that this is going to be fixed!

You're stage is amazing and I'm very impressed of the craftsmanship put into here thus far... and as such you deserve all the praise in the world for it!  ;)

P.S. Is Baby Bowser going to fall from the sky after his bigger self goes off screen? (I'd check the Brawlvault entry but I'm without my Brawl disc till at least Friday. :P)

I just figured it was the right time to post both a .rel (To put Final Bowser Battle on Yoshi's Island "Brawl") and also a brstm (GaMetal's remix of the final boss theme from Yoshi's Island) for those that would like to get the full experience from this stage!

good work. Sorry i didnt get around to it. Ive been doing a ton of homework lately because ive been putting it off till now. I have done nothing for school since the semester started so it will be awhile >_>

But I plan on getting a SMB3 stage done, Radical Highway, and one other one.
