Title: How To Edit Final Smash Textures No Hexing

...::: BEFORE YOU CONTINUE :::...

Only use this guide AFTER you have tried to open the Fit***Final.pac with ASH normally.

GUIDE:

You will need:
Ash (with ntcompress and TexConv)
SSBextract (can be found with ash)
SSBBinsert
Final Smash.pac of the characters smash attack you want to edit (eg: Fit***FS.pac)
Basic knowledge of ASH

Ok here's how its done:

1. Create a folder called "FinalSmash" on your C drive and in there put:SSBextract, SSBBinsert and your character Final Smash texture.

2. Get your final smash .pac file and drag it into SSBextract. You should get a folder with a 000.pac inside (I reccomend renaming it to "character"FS.pac).

3. Get your "character"FS.pac and run it through ASH. Edit your tgas however you want (I'd back these tgas up as i might want to fix them up later).

3. Compile with ASH like normal (rename the _new.pac to 000.pac).

4. Drag that 000.pac into your "FinalSmash" folder in your C drive.

5. Open cmd "run > cmd" and navigate to your "FinalSmash" folder (type cd.. 2 times and then type cd FinalSmash).

6. Put this command into the cmd: SSBBinsert.exe Fit***FS.pac -i 000.pac .

YOUR DONE!!!

Post if your having some trouble with this (if its confusing tell me and i will fix it up) ;)

Ok, I tried to edit Ganon's FS only with ASH (did not use this guide). After running step1, 4 folders where created. I edited them, and ran step2, I placed the _new.pac (renamed it to FitGanonFinal.pac) in the ganon folder in my SD card and when I played with Ganondorf, the exact moment he got the Samsh Ball, the game froze. Then I thought it was because I didn't do it like it's said in this guide, so I extracted the 000.pac, ran step1 with it and it only created 1 folder with a 8x8 pixels tga. Does anyone know what should I do?

This guide isn't working at all.  I tried following these steps for Ganondorf's Final Smash, but it has failed horribly.

Yes guys, alot of the FS textures can be edited just by opening in ASH.

I probably won't waste time with that since I have no plans for editing Final Smashes.  On a side note, there are boss textures that get messed up because they have a PAC file instead of a BRRES file; Rayquaza has 001.pac instead of 001.brres.

I'm so confused... All I want to do is put an existing file into the game so I can have it for myself. Why can't I find a guide anywhere that simply tells me what folder to put the file into, and what to name it? I feel as thought I've checked EVERYWHERE and the only thing I cant find is the simple solution! AUUUGH!

Nevermind, I've QQed about it so much I think I lost my willpower and determination... I'll stick to what makes sense and venture into new things in the future >.>

Thanks anyway though.
