Title: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: TokoyamiTheDark on November 04, 2011, 09:43:33 AM I just got a slight problem with Sawndz. Now that I got it working, I entered the character's data into Sawndz, but wherever I import a WAV file of the voice I wanna replace, I open back the smashbros_sound I closed earlier, and the sound still didn't changed! I am using Zelda, and here's the data to put, according to a .TXT file I also downloaded ;
Zelda's Voice ID: Group ID : 018 Collection ID : 1E1 Is there anything wrong with that? Title: Re: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: Jaklub on November 04, 2011, 10:21:00 AM yes
Assuming you didn't replace wave ID, you are replacing wave 0. Title: Re: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: TokoyamiTheDark on November 04, 2011, 10:34:46 AM yes Assuming you didn't replace wave ID, you are replacing wave 0. The TXT file only included the hex values of the Characters, so the Waves had to be entered manually. I entered 016 in the Wave ID, to replace Zelda's death scream (when she is KOed) by a voice of another female character, whose .wav file is named Sound.wav, and it is STILL Zelda's scream. Now I don't undersrand anymore..... The data looks like : Zelda's Voice ID: Group ID : 018 Collection ID : 1E1 Wave ID : 016 Using Base Wave : Unchecked Base Wave ID : 0 (I don't know what to do...) I then insert my WAV file...but nothing changes...and the Wave16 is still Zelda's scream. Title: Re: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: Jaklub on November 04, 2011, 10:36:47 AM Looks alright (didn't check the data, mind you). Now try inserting it again, but make sure the SmashBox is turned off. And open the right file after the operation.
Title: Re: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: TokoyamiTheDark on November 04, 2011, 10:47:41 AM Conversion fails if SmashBox is open. AND...It is STILL Zelda's voice, not the new one I wanna port over... I'm using SmashBox, NOT BrawlBox, and it would be nice to have the data, but I think THIS is the data, right?
Title: Re: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: Jaklub on November 04, 2011, 10:55:18 AM You're supposed to keep SmashBox off. That's what I said.
The brawlbox.txt is for those who can't use SmashBox for various reasons. Using it, they can easily export the right collection and view the samples - the wave ID needs to be obtained by user. You have SmashBox, so please kindly disregard the file. If you have the fields filled as you said and you're choosing the right sound and you're opening the right brsar after conversion, here is what you should do. Open the sound in a sound editor of your choice (preferably Audacity). Export the sound just like that. Use the new sound. Title: Re: SFX replacemant with Sawndz not working Post by: TokoyamiTheDark on November 04, 2011, 11:05:33 AM It worked! Thanks! It was my file that was perhaps too big when I converted it from a WMA
HD WAV Sound Converter gave me a 207MB WAV file while the new one only has 48KB *points middle finger to HD WAV Sound Converter on PC screen* Thanks again! You made my pals and I very happy! :happy: |
