This is the balanced version of Kagemaru's PSA of Wolverine. I originally intended just to balance it, but I ended up doing much PSA work for it. Expect these GFX/SFX adjustments soon for Kagemaru's own version!

Changelist


Wolverine's grounded game is A class, in contrast, his aerial game isn't as good.

A, A, A combo: it's a simple 3 hits combo, but if the A button is left pressed after the second jab, it'll trigger his SWISS CHEESE! attack.

Down Tilt: It consists on 2 hits, but the first hit must collide for the second to trigger.

Up Tilt is a quick and strong tilt  that'll pull the opponent on the air even at early percent.

Forward Smash: This is his only KO move, which does 14%/16% and it's a single hit with a decent startup time. Down Smash and Down B (Grounded) can be used as set ups for this move.

Up Smash: A decent attack with good damage amount (3 Hits, 4%, 3%, and 10% for the last one), but the attack has no KO potential.

Down Smash: A quick attack which does 2 hits, 7% each and has nearly no knockback. Great set up for Forward Smash.

Aerials:

Nair: This would be Wolverine's most viable aerial attack, which does 6 hits (2% damage each) and starts and ends quickly.

Fair: Strong but not very viable attack, as its got much endlag (1 Hit. 11%) .

Bair: Strong but not very viable either, as its got much endlag (1 Hit. 11%).

Dair: It's a decent attack which has a spike at a sweetspot.

Special Attacks:

Neutral B: Quick attack that does 5 slashes and has nearly no endlag. Also, can be used to assist on your recovery. (5 Hits. 1%, 3%, 2%, 3%, 2%)

Side B: It's the same as above, just that it has 1 more hit, and travels further, with more endlag. Also, it leaves Wolverine in Special Fall if used on air (6 Hits. 2%, 2%, 2%, 2%, 2%, 5%)

Up B: Same as Wolf's, just that it has nearly no startup lag. Also has weak damage. (13 Hits. 1% each)

Down B (Grounded): A feint attack that paralyses. Great set up for Fsmash. (1 Hit. 4%)

Down B (Aerial): Same as Wolf's reflector, but way worse. It either reflects or destroys a projectile. (1 Hit. 4%)

Yes, I took on PSA'ing now. I come now with my first PSA release, which is Cloud Strife, based on SDo0m's Dissidia Cloud, keeping most of his qualities from it.

I originally intended to keep it as a personal project, but some friends encouraged me to release him. I might as well make a thread to receive balancing feedback and ideas for next changes, specially feedback.

Changelist


>New Up Smash
>New Down Smash
>New Final Smash Animation.
>New Back Throw.
>New Side Taunt.
>New Revamp of Fair and Bair.
>New Wait animation.
>No more wallcling.

A few other animations have been revamped (And are under revamp), but I can't remember which ones at this moment.

>The range have been adjusted to fit the whole size of the sword, as seen in the video
(And, the new range added, which is the end of the sword, has less damage/knockback and the middle and bottom of the sword.)

I'll cover the missing details later. More changes to come soon!

I've got to thank Thany for Up Smash and Down Smash animations (and for being like a mentor  :laugh:), as well as HaloedHero for allowing me the use of his PSA and sharing with me his revamped Fair/Bair animations (And for some advice, as well). I've got to thank KJP for his advices, as well.

Bottom line, I hope you enjoy these PSAs as much as I did while working on them!

I shrinked the model to fit X's size more, I compared him to BeyondYou's Zero and made him smaller since X has always been smaller, even though that has been changing from game to game, where X is everytime getting a bit taller, but even then, it's pretty accurated, will give you the feel of playing as X.

That said though, I still rather want to revamp him fully anyway.  Sway completely away from what I did here and restructure it completely, now that my skills in pretty much every field of moveset hacking have got better.  Redo most of the animations, rewrite the moveset (I'll probably be a little more preservative with a lot of the moves), restructure the PSA work, make retextures and CSPs this time and hopefully we can get a proper model import from Dissidia/012 cuz Beyond's vertex is definitely showing numerous signs of age.

This was something I really enjoyed doing, and I suppose it was a good start for PSA'ing. I have a few projects in mind other than Cloud, but that'll be in the future, as I'm a bit busy with RL. @_@ I made this while sacrificing College, see. <_<; It was sort of like:

"Oh? Finals in a month? Great! Time to replay some games I already finished in the past and download new ones, and time to find a new obscure hobby" <_<;

That sounds highly appealing, I can't wait to see what you'll bring to our eyes! Although, I'm really comfortable with the actual special attacks, I suppose you'd be keeping most of them (To not say all of them), right?

Anyways, I really like the changes! I'm glad that Thunder is gone... It was waaaay to over powered. It basically stopped anyone from approaching Cloud. Same with his down smash...

If I understand correctly I'll need a .rel file to port over certain characters over to different ones as a base. So how do I go about putting this PSA over Olimar?? Can anyone possible point me in the direction of a tutorial or a good thread if it's too long an explanation. Thanks a lot and awesome PSA Albafika, I'm looking forward to using it. Keep the exact same files you already have for Cloud over Olimar, except replace the FitPikmin.pac and FitPikminMotionEtc.pac with the newer files.  No need to change any codes.

Just grab the "FitIke.pac" and "FitIkeMotionEtc.pac" and replace Olimar's "FitPikmin.pac" and "FitPikminMotionEtc.pac" with these.

I'll have to agree here, ALTHOUGH, I sort of started disliking .REL ports... Considering they mess up the GFX if the clone and original character are in a match. =/

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. This was the main reason I did this. At first, I was only learning to change those 2... But eh.... I took it a bit further.

and the only reason for i dont like .rel ports is cuz ppl stealing hacks by just rename the PSA to like from Ike to olimar,download the .rel to port ike to olimar and upload the hack like it was they own hard work

But, just wondering, why do you annihilated the wall cling?
Because, as of now, the code allows him to wallcling, yes, but also allows him to spam it, as in, he'd get the second jump even if he used it before wallclingling, and he'll be able to wallcling again, AND get the second jump again, and so on.

Not quite sure yet. But java has really opened up a whole new view on coding. Sure, you can't make PSAs with java, but I think I can make java pseudo-code if I try. Lots of possibilities there. If I do decide to back into this, I'm officially done with animating unless I get a Hollywood animation system like they used for Avatar. That would be so cool.

That's odd, I tried 'em all in game and got no freezes.

Which ones are you using? And are you sure it's not the names? Remember you have to decrease the info.pac's size for it not to freezes by deleting part of the texts.

I didn't know that, however I compressed them using cmpr instead of CI8 and it works now.

Yes, it's bound to work, although, I would suggest using the costumes in my download, as they are part of the CSS replacement and all.

I'm also in need of recolors for Wolverine to make the CSS stuff. Hopefully someone does them earlier on.

Lol. Just curious, though the moves look really good in them video.
I think the down smash, if you feel the same, should be slowed a tad or have ending lag IF
You think its a tad to strong. If not, disregaurd this.

I think the down smash, if you feel the same, should be slowed a tad or have ending lag IF

I feel adding it more lag would make it not be as good as a setup, but we'll see how he fares, everything's subject to change, either way, and many moves will be changed.

His final Smash should have good KO potential, considering how hard it is to get a KO with him. Also, might want to have a look at his AI and see if there isn't any other that could actually make him worthwhile to fight. Right now he is a very weak opponent if the CPU is playing him and in all CPU battles he has never, and I mean Never won a single battle...and I have tested with lots of CPU battles, 30 or so. All ranging from 5, to 99 lives.
His one KO move, shouldn't  he be using his claws instead of a punch?

Oh yay! I was having trouble with Neutral B, but it's finally functional!

Tifa will be over Zero Suit Samus, but she won't be able to use items, I say again. NOW I'm ready for a sexy video!

Wolverine's being my third video concerning PSA Showcasing. First one being a crappy one of Cloud and second a half decent Roy video. I can see how I've improved on them one after another. :P Although, I waste most of my time editing/making the background to use for the text. =/

The plan was from the beginning to re-vamp his ground final smash to be something more combo oriented. Something similar to V.Joe or SMBZ Mario or Tifa's. I just didn't feel up to the task since Wolverine is my first project and at the time, I wasn't all THAT confident in my skills.

What to expect with my next revision:

New attack 11/12 I may take the attack 13 out all together
New up-smash
A lot of new moves really... Because once I own MvC for a couple days, rent, buy... something... I'll have a better visual of how his moves will be. And yes, this means he's gonna get his dive kick. I remember SDoom saying Wolverine wouldn't be Wolverine without it, and I somewhat agree after watching several different games of MvC.

Albafika: I'd actually prefer Tifa to be over ZSS. The only reason why its not is because I took over Kit's project, and it was my understanding that it wouldn't quite fit on her. But if we can get Tifa to work fully on ZSS then count me in to help you in whatever way I can.

But... I feel that the FS will have to be nixed to do it. Its a lot of key frames, and a lot of coding imo... And if you want her to not transform into Samus, then try using the Brawl Minus versio of her .pac as a basis because if its not normally coded to keep her from turning into Samus, then its hexed in there. Which should be good I think.

PS: Wolverine's KO move is subject to change as well.

And his FS was a filler until a better one was made. :D  Thanks for the feedback guys.

I wonder why Attack13 has Wolverine go back to the starting point instead of staying where he is?

The Tifa I managed to get over ZSS has no FS at this point, and is lacking items, as well. Here's hoping BJ's BrawlBox highly reduces the file size. I'll add the FS after that BrawlBox comes out.

- She's missing Nair.
- Missing an Aerial Side B. I plan to give her something similar to Down B, as in, another sort of jumpy attack (A mix of Down B and Side B Grounded)
- I'll be keeping ZSS' Down B with a few modifications.
- ZSS' grabs behave oddly. There's a way to fix it, sorta, but the file size....
- Missing taunts and victory poses.

I'm... Not sure how much else I can add, here's hoping BJ's brawlbox drops the filesize down by a lot (Allowing me to re-add the items' coding), as I'm near the limit, even with items' coding removed. =/

One question though. That downward flaming kick. Why the flames on it? Wouldn't it have been better to not use that effect, both for fitting Tifa better not to mention less coding space in her file? Her Ice shroud attack, could also have been a more simple melee attack...though I have no idea if that would have given her more file size or not. Overall I'm liking what I see :) The kick with bubbles could perhaps also been without bubbles? I get that effects are cool but it wouldn't have killed the charm of her PSA not to have a lot of them. I'm just thinking about the file size limitation. I can admit that I don't really know if removing a lot of effects like that would actually reduce her file size, but it sounds right XD

Thing is, deleting a line of GFX isn't even close to reducing the .PAC to 0.030KB, but adding a single line increases the .PAC's size to 0.08KBs, and it's not symmetric if you look at it, like, I could add 100 lines, save, and delete the same 100 lines, and the .PAC would still be big. So deleting existing lines isn't really the solution, at this moment. =/

I'll just wait for BlackJax to finish his BB to see if I can finally work more on Tifa. In the meantime, I'm working on a little Cloud update, and on Geno.

Removing stuff in PSA has never reduced the file size.  Unless you remove external graphic effects from her file, that shiznapple ain't going down.

But that time is not now. Due to her needing some more programming. And possibly waiting for BlackJax to finish his latest BrawlBox version, to reduce Tifa's file size.

me too(mainly on Geno) as i hope Albafika will make a good update for
atleast geno is easy to animte and also Fun to animte (in my option)
cuz of he is good rigged(but at the cape)

as soon i got both yours brawl geno with edited UVs and the classic(not HD) Geno in 3ds max from brawlbox i can send you the files if you wanted to revamp something on the model
i got the max of them of them but the problem is then you import it to brawlbox again you have to do the boneset all over again(move bones in bone tree/add bones/resize afew boneset)

Wow looking at those vids of Tifa, Cloud and Sephiroth are in need of some revamps.  Well, Cloud more for balance revamps and Sephiroth for some animation revamps.  Tifa's looking nice though.  Liking the new Wait animation, though Entry needs to properly transition into the new one since it still goes into the old one.

Yeah, it was about time a decent PSA went over ZSS. :srs:
Wow looking at those vids of Tifa, Cloud and Sephiroth are in need of some revamps.  Well, Cloud more for balance revamps and Sephiroth for some animation revamps.  Tifa's looking nice though.  Liking the new Wait animation, though Entry needs to properly transition into the new one since it still goes into the old one.
Kagemaru and I had planned to re-work on Sephiroth. I already have the moveset written down, basically, he'll have only 4 specials, unlike now, that he has 3 aerial specials and 3 grounded specials different from one another, making his specials amount 7. :srs:

For Cloud, KJP showed me how to make Uthrow work as P:M's Charizard, I just need to get the time to make the animation so he Cloudsides. I also want to edit the current Nair for a 2 hits one, I don't like the current one, I feel it's too good. <.>

As for Tifa, I'm glad you're liking her! I'm waiting for BJ's Brawlbox to see if it does the magic I need... I'm basically at the limit on the PSA size. =/

Yes, I am. Progress might be not as fast, though. School's kicking me where it hurts. =/

Yep, I recall that, but I'm aiming more to fix our Sephiroth build myself, something I couldn't do back then. I'll be posting the changelist for Sephiroth later on, all I can asure is: He'll go back down to 4-5 Specials, unlike the current one, which has 7. <_<

I'm also still waiting on input on moves for a Ramona Flowers PSA. .-.

Certainly! I'll get to work on something preliminary.

EDIT: Here's a quick mock-up I just put together. It's a bit of a rough draft, so any criticism is welcome, appreciated, and expected.

RAMONA FLOWERS MOVESET IDEAS:

Note: Obviously not all the different kinds of attacks are included here. Anything that’s not specified here is the same as Scott’s corresponding attack, with edited damage/knockback if you want Ramona to have a different feel/playstyle than Scott. (i.e, more damage/less speed, etc.)

AAA Jab: Same as Scott’s, although ends with a high kick that knocks the opponent to the ground. Can be used as a meteor smash if it hits an opponent in the air.

Dash Attack: Ramona swings her hammer out in front of her and lets the momentum drag her for a few feet.

Forward Smash: She brings her hammer around in front of her in a horizontal half-circle, like swinging a baseball bat.

Down Smash: Ramona shoves her hammer down facing the camera, like she was churning butter or something similar, sending out mini-shockwaves to both sides.

Down Tilt: Punches in front of her, then kicks in back.

Forward Aerial: Swings a gray Baseball Bat in front of her twice.

Neutral/Side/Down Special: Ramona goes into a spin, swishing her Subspace Bag in front of her. Similar to Ice Climber’s Side Special.

Side/Neutral/Down Special: Similar to the dash attack, except taken to the extreme. A large hammer swing, followed by the momentum carrying her a distance very fast. Similar to Scott’s Side B, but slower, does more damage, and carries her slightly up in a low parabola.

Up Special: Identical to Scott’s, but with hammer instead of guitar. Long tap is still identical to Mario’s.

Down/Neutral/Side Special: Ramona holds her subspace bag in front of her, and an effect similar to Wario’s Chomp takes place.

Final Smash: The screen darkens and Ramona walks into a hole in the background, like she had just walked through a door in Subspace Emissary. A few seconds later (similar timing to Galaxia Darkness), she appears near an opponent, in midair, and enters a huge hammer spin attack similar to the attack that a Greap (the SE enemy with scythes for arms and a red button head) performs when it jumps, but with a hammer. When the attack ends, she teleports back to the point where she initiated the attack.

MORE NOTES: The hyphens I used for the special names indictaed that I wasn't sure which attack should correspond with which button input. They're in the order of my preference from most to least, but the final decision is up to you.

There will most likely be articles. And no, not yet. However... She will get one...


Also, you could always replace someone else with Roy you know. If you get the latest version of him on Smash Boards, Thany included rels for almost EVERY character. So Roy can go on almost anyone.

Alba suggested I post in this thread with comments on Geno - If Geno's Cannon transformation isn't going to be included, I'd say at least add it as a Final Smash. I mean I don' t know a damn thing about programming this stuff, but I can absolutely imagine it. Geno Flash is his strongest move.

And it is, re-testing SFXs every time was dumb and a pain in the ass.

Glad you liked it. I think the "general" SFXs missing are the menu ones/item ones/ and the ones from 0000 to 0034. Others like Boss sounds/AT sounds aren't useable. =/

I'll probably make the video for the missing ones, too, soon.

I want ;~;, the animations look pretty clean and well done in my opinion, his play style seems to my liking. Loving the new Geno Beam, and that star thing when he falls on the floor seems like a nice touch. o.o I see much improvement from the previous version.

Lol yeah, we'll be using ROB's Laser for neutral B, although at this moment is still ROB's. I'm getting onto PSA'ing them now, for the full release.

This was what took the LONGEST. Finding suiting SFXs for EVERYTHING, even Jump/Run and all. ONLY ROB SFX we're using is LandingLight/Heavy, so you can guess how much of a pain it was for us. :srs:

We had about 30 possible characters, and narrowing it down to 14, it's still a hard choice. XD

Hmm, we'll talk this out if we decide to make him. I don't think he'll be hard, though, we already have an idea of how to do him. We'll see. :P

@Beyond: Waffle has a clearer idea of what we would do with those 2. Although, for Mickey, he'll be based off Epic Mickey mainly.

Well All he does is fight in his anime, He has a tonne of moves to choose from and would be very easy to animate/PSA.  Plus he is the main character of a highly popular/known show and would most likely fit in among other characters such as cloud/shadow in Cesar's PSA pack.

And naturally I selected Skull Kid because he is the rival of Fierce Deity. Though I was reluctant to do so since Divine already made a PSA for him. But it's been finished for quite some time, and I'd be interested to see a completely different version since many attacks must be created from imagination.

And many have said they've voted for Hayabusa in here, I guess Ninja Gaiden 3 is a really expected game after all (That and the fact DOA4 is on its way). .-.

I have no clue how you'd pull off that moveset but I would love you if you were able to pull it off.

Also for Mickey, I'm assuming you're basing it off a Epic Mickey and not KH Mickey or any of the other Mickeys?

I'm not too sure about Boy&Blob yet either. There is just a huge amount of potential for a very unique playstyle. I;m sure we'll think of something.

As for mickey. He will be heavily based on his appearance in Epic Mickey, using his brush for a lot of attacks. Although I will probably include a couple throwbacks to my favorite mickey moments.

Lol, was kind of hard since I made a quick size mod for her (So she wouldn't look taller than Ike. <_<;) and so I wasn't used to the new hitboxes range.

And not really, Up B is working just fine, the issue is still what I mentioned you before. =/ But I think I know how to fix it, I think.

As for Neutral B, I'm leaving that for last. I think I'll have headaches doing that one. <_>;;

A little update: It just came to me that Waffle dissapears on Summer vacations, so can't expect a Geno release on Summer, BUT, I promise to finish the Specials (As soon as I'm done with school next week), which will only be lacking a few animations then.

Also, for summer, I'm going to be working on another PSA not listed in the OP with Tormod.

AND, I'm hoping BlackJax' BrawlBox finally works for me so I can finish Tifa. I'll even import her model with facial expressions for the PSA...

Thanks, sDo0m, really means a lot to know one's first rig/model work was a real success. It took this long because it's not like me to release a half-assed model like most in Marth's Vault.... I actually DL'ed a huge amount to check their rigs to end the end be highly dissapointed at how most lacked expressions/proper rig. Mia has her flaws on the rig, but I'm pretty sure she's one of the best (rigs) on Marth's Vault, which is sad...

It helps to have an awesome partner for texture work and culling! Nothing makes a character fit in the Brawl universe than a flawless texture work! :happy:

As for the Machinima, it was done in the exact time I spent looking for someone to record that replay to showcase her (About 4 hours) :oshi: When I started uploading that replay, dRage had finished the machinima. It was timed. XD

Anyways, here (http://tinyurl.com/cyyeylv)'s a new rig of Mia (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=27922), this time her starter outfit in Radiant Dawn, Swordmaster! (And Starwaffle's Mewtwo (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=27919) and Armored Mewtwo (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=27920), and Thany's Roy (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=27921)! (3 new hacks at the same time! :happy:)
This rig took about 5 hours (Full assed, though!). I did it as a challenge to myself. I even did the faces myself :happy:

Unlike Trueblade, this rig's flaws are less noticed I feel, due to the jacket on Trueblade making my life impossible. =/

Anyways, enjoy! Now, I'm REALLY REALLY going back to Geno (And another models), but expect a Geno preview on this next week!

Let me start my first post by thanking Albafika and SJS for this awesome Mia hack. I've actually been wondering if anyone was going to put any of the female characters from Fire Emblem into the game. I would prefer not to overwrite Marth with Mia, but if I have to, its cool. I am having a problem though... Every time I put the .pac and .pcs files in my fighters folder, it doesn't work--Marth is still there, nothing changed. Does anybody have any idea as to why this may be happening?

Is your .pac file named FitMarth00.pac and is your .pcs file named FitMarth00.pcs (The two numbers do not have to be "00". They can also be "01", "02", "03", "04", "05", and "06")? If your answer is no, then do so. It should work.

Let me start my first post by thanking Albafika and SJS for this awesome Mia hack. I've actually been wondering if anyone was going to put any of the female characters from Fire Emblem into the game. I would prefer not to overwrite Marth with Mia, but if I have to, its cool. I am having a problem though... Every time I put the .pac and .pcs files in my fighters folder, it doesn't work--Marth is still there, nothing changed. Does anybody have any idea as to why this may be happening?

And... Yeah, there is, but it's a tad more complicated than that, you would need to use a program to replace Marth's sounds with Zelda's (If that's what you want to do), but this program isn't "noob" friendly as BrawlBox, so you'll need to have the will to learn. =/

Basically reading through this topic (above) helped me a lot. I used Super Sawndz to test and listen to each sound as well as find the correct wav ID, Sawndz 0.12 to insert the .wav files, and I can't remember where, but I found a .zip file online with all of Zelda's voice files. You need the textfile named brawlbox in Jaklub's sawndz folder in order to find the correct Group/Collection IDs for each character .This information will go into sawndz 0.12. Of course you will need Smashbros_sound.brsar -- this goes into the sawndz 0.12 folder. (You will most likely want to back this up... actually, I recommend it.)

Open Super Sawndz and load your Smashbros_sound.brsar. On the right hand side of the program, you will see a list of all of the sound files in the game. Choose the character you'd like to change and you will see the list expand into 2 groups. The top group is for voices and the bottom for sound effects specific for that character.

When you click on a sound, you will notice that the Wave ID changes. That number goes into sawndz in the Wave ID section under Collection ID. The Group and Collection IDs can be found in the brawlbox text file. Once you have the Group, Collection, and Wave IDs...click "Insert". Find the wave file you would like to replace the original file with and that's it. Once everything is done, your .brsar should be updated with the new sounds.  :af:




*Side Note* - I did this as an edit to Marth's soundbank to make Mia sound like Zelda. Unfortunately, I forgot Roy (under Mr. Game and Watch) also relies on Marth's soundbank no matter what character he is ported under. So as of now, unless I remove the text code stating that he uses Marth's sound bank, Roy now sounds like Zelda.  :srs:

I know you prob don't do requests or anything but, would it be difficult to change your cloud's down B into fade's Down b? I just never liked cloud's heavy use of fiery magic :P seeing as he has a giant sword to crush people with i thought fade's down B was more.. fitting.

Well, me and Waffle did tons of progress on Geno! :happy:

So far, the throws are done, and now we're just missing fixing up some glitched with Geno's Side B, as ROB calls on GFX that aren't even shown in the moves Sub Actions, but are there definitely, as the Sub Actions, even empty'ed, have an offset. :srs:



Anyways, Up B is just missing some little details. And we might have Side B fixed today, so in the end, the only missing attacks are:

Side B.
Down B.
Neutral B.

As for Scizor:

Scizor's playstyle will be focused on Swords Dance and Tailwind. You'll have to maneuver with either to be decent with him as Swords Dance will no longer slow down Scizor, and Tailwind speeds him up, so, pretty much you'll have to use either. :P

Expect it to be done soon, between today or tomorrow hopefully. I'm doing the balancing, so any complaints about balance, direct them to me. :srs:

Albafika, is Cloud getting an update/change for the Up Smash?
Guess I should post the changes... These are coming from my head, as I'm not at home:

N-Air: This one is getting nerfed to either do less hits or have more landing lag, as the move at this moment is too good. I'll probably just decrease the hit amounts.

F-Air: This one move is too good, but I intend to keep it the exact same.

Up Smash: The current Up Smash has a small hit box and poor Knock Back, making it useless. I'm fixing that. Tjis move's hitbox will be a bit bigger and it'll get some more Knockback to make it a viable choice.

Up Throw: This one was meant to be a launch move,  so I'm making  it be one thanks to P:M Charizard's coding. He'll now not go through platforms once going down like before, and it may be possible to use as a suicide move too.

Some SFX fixes for all the attacks.

These are the changes I remember. They're just a few, though, nothing MAJOR.

Wow, this actually came to mind, but I overthought it and thought it'd not work as the Momentum needs to be in a loop to work all the frames and thought it'd never reach the impact frame or I'unno. Help me with this on MSN! @_@

Glad to know you like it! The Stage is already done, I'm just thinking how should I release it.

Anyways, as for Cloud, I've made these changes:

N-Air's range was reduced.

Up Smash got a pretty good buff considering how its hitbox was small, now it's worth to try to hit with it, unlike before.

I'm working on UThrow.

I'd really like to know what others think, should I change anything else?

Try setting the shield damage value zero, and see if the knockback growth works then. I've had that happen to me on one of Link's subactions before and that was the only way to make the knockback growth work.

Yeah, I knew about the Shield part (I had that issue with Tifa's PSA, that's where I noticed...), and I assumed MarioDK knew. This is probably the reason. I've honestly not checked, as I care not for FS, really. lol

He might also mean how the TransN is kinda odd on the run, it feels like Cloud stops for a bit before taking the next step.

Me and Waffle finally fixed up the Specials (All but Neutral B), so all it requires is for both of us to take another day to finish them! I'm pretty sure people will love the finished result! :D

Progress is slow, but he'll probably be done by the end of this week.

i am not sure its possible but with new brawlbox it will maybe be possible but then again i am trying to make a article to change dmg so it do 15% on down-B and 30%(ignoring shield/refle/absorbing too) on FS version but i can´t make it to use the If bit set: XX[XX number] right
since i have been doing that to gotenks´s ghosts over PKthunder
so if i can´t make it to use 2 kkind of hitboxes andonly use 1 of them on charge level or a other attack i am not sure i can do this too
so it will always be 15% dmg or 30% dmg :(

Taunt ideas, his nod to the screen is a necessity, one can be he throws his cape to the side extending his arm out and back and extending his other arm and turning it into a gun and then back to his wait, another could be he raises his hand, looks at it and it rotates and he clenches his fist twice then looks forward again

Scizor: I'm waiting for KJP to be done with the Graphical Indicators for Swords Dance/Tailwind to resume again the balancing. KJP's been chilling, so I don't blame him for taking his time. :P

As for Cloud, it's not a BIG update, just many balancing adjustments here and there (And fixes no one may ever notice) and that one fix for the UThrow.

Anyways, if you need another tester for Cloud, I'm open.

You do know that the Shadow Pin award is meant to be a punishment, not a reward right?

Also. I'd advise not making a move set for him... People are really really tired of Shadow... Well, except n00bs in the vault.

Chaos powers... Magic... Whatever it is I'm not a fan. I like all his normal moves though.  And the pin add a punishment isn't much of a deterrent. I want the pin still.

No disrespect to you SDoom, your shadow is without a doubt the best one out there and the only one I'd use consistently, but I'd like something that keeps him similar to Sonic. Things that show you he is just as fast as Sonic. magical chaos powers doesn't give me that. That's my personal preference though.

Also, data, no offense taken, but I don't make movesets for people, I make them for me and share then with people cause I'm nice.

It can be annoying on most cases, yeah. But threads are all about hype anyways. I don't mind people wanting Geno to be done, on the other hand, that kind of encourages me to continue working on him. :P

What I dislike is when people PM me for progress. I get enough PMs as if (People PM'ing me everytime I sanction them for breaking a rule - Brawl Vault issues - Random users asking questions about the forum - Random people swearing/asking how was my day) I don't need people PM'ing me asking for that, as that's what threads are there for.

The model is no more. I said it'll be a collab of 56 actually LST members, and out of all the LST members, only 1 PSAs, so you now can guess what some of the remaining ones are going to do. :P

The issue with Tifa is that whenever I try to PSA her from zero using BrawlBox, at some point, it corrupts. Just like that. =/ I'll try talking to BlackJax about it once I'm done with this semester.

As for Sephiroth, where did we leave that? We could get to it, really. lol

Need a moveset... Kinda just have the model done from IST just laying around... To be honest I wish there were a better one available. high poly, with custom hair and wing bones but most importantly... Better looking feet.

Also brawl box corrupts if you save too many times. So you'll wanna do most of the work in psa then switch to bb to finish. I would do it in bb first to make sure its right, replicate what was done with psa, then go back to bb to lower file size.

I've tried everything:

1. I tried copy pasting everything from the already coded PSA I have into BrawlBox. When I saved, it corrupted.

2. I tried copy pasting piece by piece and saving every bit. After I was done through 60% of it. It corrupted.

3. I tried PSA'ing strictly in BrawlBox without copy-pasting. As I was half way I saved and it corrupted.

I've only had these issues with Zero Suit Samus.

As for Sephiroth, maybe we could put up a request so someone can make a custom rig for us. But there's somethiung I dislike about SS' Sephiroth: It does not fits Cloud's models. SS' Sephiroth is AC's, from the CGIs. It doesn't blends with Cloud's or in Smash. ramon made the most fitting Cloud imports for Brawl. Sephiroth's model from Crisis Core doesn't blends in... Not sure if I'm the only one that feels this way.

As for the moveset, we talked about it through PMs once, didn't we?

Well, his model doesn't clash with Brawl's really. Look at Snake. He's rather realistic looking by Brawl's standards.

So... I guess the way to do this would be to find Sephiroth's KH2 model, or Kingdom Hearts 1 model, and edit it VERY heavily. hopefully there's a high poly cutscene version... Because that's what Cloud's model was made from.

I guess to edit it, you'd basically Frankenstein the CC, and KH model together (using the outfit from CC, face from KH, then edit everything heavily to fit together)... Hopefully something like that would look alright.


As for the move set, Kage. If I recall, most of his tilts and aerials are alright in concept (I'll need Wolfric to confirm this)... They need balance fixes. And HEAVY animation fixes.

As for specials... Wolfric wants to reduce the number of specials to just 4. So his move set doesn't contain too many moves like it currently does.

Unfortunately, there is no high-poly model for Sephiroth in KH2. I always thought his Dissidia model would fit more into Brawl and Cloud. However, CC is the bestest model for a PSA imo. That is if you wanna be super accurate with eye movement.

Yes, indeed. Those need to be changed. And Up and Down's are fine, but the animation sucks. Basically, he needs better animations EVERYWHERE. There's not a single one that looks decent. .-.

As for the model: I didn't know Cloud's was an HD model from KH... Ugh, guess we'll have to settle with CC's Sephiroth... But I still feel it does not fit.

Hm... Well alright.

Though you need to remember. The down aerial is pretty much a staple move in his Dissidia move set. It needs polish. Yes, but it should stay...

Not really sure why I wrote "they are fine, just need polishing"...

Forward air should remain similar in use though. It should be a good ranged spacing move. With MUCH more landing lag then it has. Or more start up... Something... Perhaps more base knock back to even out the lag. But no kill power. And his animation needs more... OOMPH! Right now, the animation seems too lifeless. It needs a sense of power behind the swing.

I don't honestly know what to do with neutral, and back air. We'll have to see what Wolfric thinks. I feel they should be something that fits with his current playstyle. great for punishing a foe from a distance, but highly punishable if used poorly... But, what SHOULD they be? What should be the use? Should back air follow the Brawl logic of being a decent kill move? Or should it simply be another means to space the foe out?

Should neutral air hit on both sides? Or something else?


...On an animation note... I almost want the laugh taunt kept. But refined... It makes me think of when he went bonkers in the flashback scene in FF7.

...Speaking of animations... These videos should help quite a bit.

Can we not get that model into brawl? My biggest issue with Sephiroth's models are that his shoes are usually pointy... And probably use some of Marth's cape bones as wing bones as well  with the wing being set to a model changer.
If I recall correctly, Dissidia's models are too low poly, specially in the hands, were most of them have only 3 fingers, or rather, an index, thumb, and the other 3 behaving as one.

I can probably make the custom rig for SS' Sephiroth. But hopefully someone else is willing to.

Well for whoever ends up doing it... this is a list of things that would be nice to have:

- Wing set to a model changer
- Sword Rigged to Left hand (for the animations that wouldn't be custom I would just inverse the Xrot bone so that they matched)
- Rigged fingers in alternate hand
- Center Cape bones rigged to Sephiroth's hair (so that his hair would blow in the wind)
- Left or Right Cape bones rigged to the Wing (so that the wing would also blow in the wind when not flapping)

I think thats it.

So for future reference, could you write down a moveset so that I could have something to reference anytime I get the urge to animate him? I'd actually switch Sephrioth to being a priority if someone volunteered to finish up Chun-Li's psaing.

I really like the way you did the beams in the attacks versus the way mariodk did beams in his attacks since his seem to stop at a certain distance, whereas normally, that wouldn't happen since it's light based. super cool. and the star idea was excellent too. it looks super official. props.

We kept trying to get back onto finishing it, but other priorities have been in our way for years now. Might as well give others the files and see who finishes it for us instead of letting them rot. :P

I couldn't stand to my word, sorry. But Waffle's too lazy, it's totally his fault!

Don't let your hopes die though. Even though whoever works on it now is most definitely not going to do what me and Waffle had planned to do, it should still be okay. :P
