Good to see you made a thread of your own. I need to pimp mine out a little to make it shine as well as add new previews.

Not gonna lie, yours looks pretty good. My best bud and I really liked your stages at the beginning of your thread. But yea, improvements are always necessary.

I didn't know about the Planet Namek that goes over Castle Siege. Now i have a stage to replace it!

Good to see you made your own thread by the way.

Gangplank got moe progress good to see. I actually thought of an interesting 360 based stage that I may work on in the future. It's the 360 Dashboard with animated stuff :P

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on May 05, 2012, 09:43:12 PM
Is that so? You must tell me more about it. I'll gladly do it.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: xxWutzMercyxx on May 05, 2012, 09:52:08 PM
Basically you have your custom Avatar standing there moving around, and the slides move and the background changes. I'll explain more later right now i'm working on the Avengers stage :P

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on May 05, 2012, 09:55:14 PM
Alright, it sounds quite spectacular. Perhaps it can be modified so that the theme changes from day to night. Just an idea, though.

Yikes, cool ideas, but could you maybe use some spoilers? The page was scrolling for about a minute straight for me, and I think it may cause some issues for people with slower internet.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on May 05, 2012, 10:05:19 PM
Ah, you may have a point. Sadly, I don't know how to use the spoilers feature.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: Gamma Ridley on May 05, 2012, 10:06:34 PM
Add (spoiler)(/spoiler) around the image link, but using brackets instead of parenthesis.

Or just quote me and use this:

Already figured it out. That's better. I'll add more later, unless this is fine.

Hah. Thanks man. Again, stay tuned for updates. I should be starting another stage soon.

Post Merge: May 08, 2012, 04:27:01 PM
Update: added The Moon to future stages. Take a look.
(http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/8350/9150earthviewfromthemoo.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/10/9150earthviewfromthemoo.jpg/)
So I plan on the stage taking place on the moon, with a distant view of earth and the sun even further back. Maybe not the moon, but possibly a large platform, because I hate pure walk-offs. Though, if I have it on the moon, I don't know what else to put there...maybe a building to go in. About a minute or earlier, a meteor will approach earth, just overhead of the players. Eventually, the meteor will catch on fire as it gets close to earth, then crash full-force into the earth, resulting in a long explosion. Throughout gameplay, the sun will have a continuous solar flare. The earth will have a huge crater as a result from the explosion. Not too long after that, a massive meteor, about 3/4 the size of earth, will come hurdling towards earth at what seems to be a low speed, easily blowing up the planet. Only the space debris will remain.

First of all, awesome stages!, I particularly love the Bowser's Castle in Norfair.
^And, If you make the textures look like Paper Mario and adds the X-Naut Base to the Background, that would be a great alternate stage for that Moon's stage you are making now.

In case you do make the X-Naut Base...

That will have the textures for it. I started making a stage based on the Glitz Pit, but I never got the motivation to finish it.

Assuming I get it to work, I was going to put it right next to the pool, so you can go in and jump out as much as wanted. Looking forward to doing that. If I get it working, I will preview it in part 3 and 4 of the preview palooza. :)

If anyone needs any SSS Names / Icons / Previews, just let me know. I'll gladly make them. I have no idea what the font is for the default stage name font, so mine will be custom unless someone can let me know how that works.

I'm pretty sure this is correct... someone posted the exact font somewhere and I can't seem to find it, but I think that was it. XD

Also.... and I hate to be "that guy," but could you please put the images and videos in your OP in spoilers? Don't mean to pester, but it stretches the page and makes it hard to browse. /:

The next 2 stages I'll upload are Xbox 360 and Destiny Island, preferably in the same day. I'm adding the "red ring of death" effect on the xbox, in which the stage turns chaotic and everything turns red. Here's an update:

Yeah that [censored] is basically done.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LCCoolJ95 on June 10, 2012, 11:15:48 AM
Maybe it isn't. Maybe Mastaklo wants to add something else, like Gotenks or Piccolo or something. That would make the stage cooler. But, I'm just sayin....

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: Haseyo on June 10, 2012, 08:37:15 PM
It may not be, who knows (except him of course). But seeing how there's a good preview of it, Legacy can shift focus onto other stages and maybe see how this one turns out, so his version can be different?

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on June 11, 2012, 12:44:59 AM
I will ask him to stop. If he disagrees, so be it.

I see nothing wrong with still releasing yours. People double-release stuff all the time.

Shadow is an example :srs:

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on June 11, 2012, 04:35:33 PM
Well, yes, this is how most of them responded. The shadow vault, however, will never die. This is a unique stage.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: Haseyo on June 11, 2012, 06:03:02 PM
Yeah Shadow is a whole different level of ridiculous. You seldom see stages cloned, even so they are still somewhat different.

Add some clouds (like in Battle Stadium D.O.N's version of Budokai Tenkaichi) as platforms or something.

It's not like re-texturing Final Destination or something  :srs:

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on June 11, 2012, 06:44:54 PM
Honestly, no offense to Mastaklo, but that import could use some working on. Yeah, I plan on giving a HD sky with animated clouds, but maybe not as platforms, and an alternate version rotated 90 degrees, assuming it doesn't deform. It's gonna look great. I guess if he's fine with it, we can both have our own versions.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LCCoolJ95 on June 11, 2012, 08:08:17 PM
Like I said, if you add characters fighting in the background, THEN the stage would be alot more impressive.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on June 11, 2012, 08:09:41 PM
Like maybe Kid Buu then Gotenks?

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: Haseyo on June 11, 2012, 09:02:54 PM
Maybe two people that aren't even in the Vault? Add some spice. Kid Buu has his own PSA, I don't really care for him being in the background if I can just be him, lol.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on June 11, 2012, 09:14:29 PM
Hmm...maybe in a later version. I'll just release it as planned, then animate later.

I just had a great idea to make Ghostly Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy. I'm importing the models separately, and I may need to somewhat modify the background myself. Expect previews soon, as I have been doing some imports, about 5 in specific.

You're right, it may be difficult. However, I do want to make it more simple than the original final destination.

And yeah, it is the regular FD, but I had to remove some vertices in 3ds max to make it look like this. I think it looks quite nice, though.

Bowser's Castle looks way better man. Nice revamp though that sucks about dumbass CPU AI XD I was thinking you could actually revamp the textures to look more like SMG2 or 3D Land style to fit more into modern Mario games but that's just a suggestion and what you have is still fantastic. Seems like Sky Sanctuary Zone is dead XD

Well thank you guys. I've learned a few new things from working on that Bowser's Castle revamp, so you guys can count on some impressive future stages. ;)

I almost forgot about Sky Sanctuary Zone...it still needs some unique models to fit it well. Guess I should work on that next?

Btw, mercy, you need help with anything?

Yeah I use USB Config so I can edit ISOs for voices. It's basically a back up as I have my disk as proof, for whatever reason the FBI busts down my door demanding it. Then you just press a little button to "Load with Gecko codes" and boom.

I don't know the Riiv method, as it's obsolete if you're used to Gecko with edited ISOs. Much less of a hassle.

Cool Cool Mountain!

One thing though, you should have used the original background for it.

The background here is nice, but it doesn't blend in with the stage at all.

You have Nintendo 64 quality textures, then you got a high definition mountain in the back.

Still a nice stage, and love that you used Mewtwo's new shadow tool/system.

Title: Re: The Legacy's Stages [Cool Cool Mountain 64 released]
Post by: LegacyWolf on August 05, 2012, 04:21:00 PM
Good the hear people like these.

You're right about the background, but the original background texture was in pieces that i couldn't figure out how to put together.

Well, like I said, I'll be improving casino night zone, along with a new revamp. After that, I'll be finally completing the much-needed Kami's Lookout.

I like it, but the ceiling could be a bit higher. I like the wideness of the stage; I love being able to chase people after a heavy hit, rather than watching them recover forever like Final Destination. Just don't make it a flat walk-off though.

The revamp of the animated lights and extra stage elements on Casino Night Zone is looking great.

Have you tried animating the stage's casino reels to spin, like in Sonic 2? That'd really throw the stage over-the-top.

Destiny Islands is the next major release. It's being worked on. After Casino Night Zone(and maybe Kami's Lookout, if people [censored]ing stop getting involved with it), I want to make a stage based on the anime "Rosario+Vampire".

I guess the action is too near to those trees... and the tree shadows need to be transparent.

The 2D trees would need to not be affected by lighting, and shadow system is needed, in the same direction and opacity as tree shadows.

Anyway, I guess something's not good with the normals, the shapes don't look as smooth as they should. The sensation is either that you need to edit the normals a little, or change the lighting so that's not that noticeable.

Other than that, the stage looks fine  :kdance:

By all means, I'm putting in my heart and soul to make this look as good as I can. I've noticed all those errors, and MANY more, except for the action being too close to the trees. Thanks for the feedback.  :af:

I will fix all these problems, no questions asked. When I noticed the terrible normals and shadows, I punched a wall.

Jeezus, this topic is dead...well, got a few updates:

-Kami's Lookout is nearly complete.
-Synapse model is almost complete.
-Dropped the Casino Night Zone revamp.
-Still need to make some progress on Yokai Academy for SmashClash.
-I might complete some character rigs.
-School is pissing me off and getting in the way of everything I do.
-Wii again isn't reading my brawl disc, so testing is difficult.
-Destiny Islands should be done soon now that ItalianStallion has finished Piccolo.
-I've learned many new things involving brawlbox and 3ds max, so expect some high-quality stuff.
-All my fetishes are now public.
-Working on my next stage, Freezeflame Galaxy.

Well I haven't given up on the project, I rather just wait until V0.9 comes out to get motivated again. Seeing how the actual game isn't complete I feel we're wasting our time making beta stages rather then the final product. I mean look it here, Jungle Hijinx got revamped in this trailer.
Super Smash Flash 2 v0.9 @ Apex 2013 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyEthLLaEbQ#ws)
I say wait until V0.9 at least comes out so we can work fresh then :P

Hello legacy wolf

ive got a lot of ideas/suggestions for kami's lookout
i think there is a lot of work to be done to separate it from mastaklo's already awesome stage

ill put all my ideas in a spoiler because its a very long post

1.  Like mewtwo said the shadows need to be transparent
2.  Like mariodk said, making the stage smaller would let us appreciate the stage more, but i would experiment with keeping the buildings big at the same time
3.  I think the colors on the trees need to be more pine-like, atm they have more of a lime-green color.
You should look at the youtube video of The "ESF Forces kamis lookout stage" for more ideas on your  stage since they pretty much have it perfect.
4.  They add animated fog to the stage on the platform.  Its pretty cool because i would assume that there would be a lot of clouds and fogs on top of the sky.  You can even see if the stage has sfx so you can add a "wind whirl" sound to the fog...
5.  You can  make ur stage even better by doing something that no other stage importer has done
-  For example:
In the preview of Esf forces kamis lookout stage, the stage changes from day to night.
I would see if it would be possible to do this by using YOSHI'S stage as a base as it also changes from   day to night!
So in other words you would have a "day shift" version of kamis lookout and a "night shift" version of kamis lookout together in one stage!
If that is possible i would add an animated model of the dragon on the background of the "night shift":af:
(I happen to have one and if u need it imported/rigged I can do it too)
Also, If Yoshis stage does use a seperate sfx for the night,
- I would find some dragon sounds for the sfx
-If the stage does not utilize sfx i would use a soundtrack/brstm with dbz's dragon roaring or even speaking.  Remember:  Yoshis stage uses 2 brstms lol
6.  If you do decide to make it a project, maybe some texturer can help to make the stage look even better.
i can help with the dragon and the sfx/brstms<.<

>.>remember that in the world of coding anything is possible<.<

Hai mr.mugenwii

1. Done.
2. There will be alternate sizes.
3. Perhaps, but these textures look nice, so perhaps not. I am currently developing the stage based on many aspects of the ESF Kami's Palace, like you said.
4. I want to do so, but it's going to be hard to get the proper models and textures.
5. I wanted to make it change to night time, and using that lighting is a brilliant idea. :srs: As for anything involving the dragon, nope.
6. Due to my ego, I cannot allow teamwork. It's a personal thing.

Consider this: the last preview of Kami's Lookout I posted was 17 days ago. It's obviously been improved since then. I promise I'll put out something good, and these flaws will not go overlooked.

thanks for the quick response
good luck with getting the fogs to show up on the platform.  that would be a plus.
good continuation my friend

and yea the textures are ok, but are they the same ones mastaklos uses, straight from the budokai game?
because for example on the floor there are some options available by photoshop to enhance the "concrete" feeling...
but then again i wouldnt worry about the textures for now, that should be dealt with at the end

Oh, I didn't really pay attention to the background in SMG on that stage probably cuz your characters are kind of zoomed in SMG. Maybe you should include 2 versions.

Well, to sustain some hype, I'm going to release 3 stages around the same time: Planet Namek revamp, Ghostly Galaxy, and Kami's Lookout.

I'm previewing Kami's Lookout using the worst picture I have of it, because I want to preserve its beauty.

Huge thanks to Wasabi_Skillz for the pictures and testing. Also, dat sunshine

Now, before I get criticized with how bright it is and some other [censored], I am easily aware of it all. It's far from complete. >.>

On a side note, I feel I've acquired better skills in HD stage texturing, so I've found staging to be much more enjoyable. I hope to see more of what I'm capable of in the future, as well as how I can improve.

And you know what? I just want to thank DSX8 for teaching me the majority of what I know of 3ds max, and for helping me when I needed it. And for not getting pissy when I'm being a jackass to him.

Progress: I've perfected the sun texture. It's actually just a model. Just need to shrink it. Yes, the lighting is one of the few things I need to finish. Though, I believe I've found an ample solution to that.

Perhaps I'll add a preview later.

EDIT: Fixed it up a bit -

I'm pleased to say I've learned a few new things involving stage lighting.

Thanks for the vid, KingJigglypuff!

Well, I promised a preview vid of Ghostly Galaxy. There it is. Keep in mind that it's an early WIP.

Looks a bit bright, and like you said, it's an easy kill to the left. The shadow system is obviously [censored]ed up, but that might be due to the emulator, if I'm not mistaken.

What the [censored] am I doing...I'm criticizing my own stage...

Again, thanks for the vid.

Great job on this stage, Legacy!

Lols were had.

I'm aware of Bouldergeist. I thought about putting it there, maybe in the background. I could remake it, or rip it from SMG. If we get stage hurtboxes discovered completely, I could have it throw damaging rocks and lines of stalagmites, and throw some punches here and there.

Yeah, pikazz is making really nice discoveries on rels including hurtboxes, its just about time to see them fully.
Btw would be cool, also i think i have some gfx you might be interested for the Moon stage.  but if yes, when i get my pc i can help with some gfx or animating (stage no because i suck at them xD)

Small update.

My next release will be Kami's Lookout. I'm pleased to say that while I've had much trouble with it, I've just had a small breakthrough. Progress on it has picked up. I'm hoping to be more active as a stager for quite awhile, but considering I have school, that may seem difficult.

Anyway, the release will have multiple versions--even more if I make the lighting change. I'll include:

-Normal version
-cloudy
-cloudy and rainy
-dark transition for all these
-rotated 90 and -90 degrees for everything above

So, as you can see, it's going to be my biggest release. I'm not going to the trouble of asking someone to record gameplay on each of these, but I will provide plenty of images.

Got the direction of the lighting perfect:

Hmph.

I terminated the shadows temporarily. They were imperfect.

Something about the lighting is making the yellow look...different. Perhaps a bit of photoshopping could fix that.

Edit: I've messed with the yellow texture a bit. Now I don't really see why it won't look good. I'll get pics tomorrow.

I may toy around with the lighting a bit to see if I can improve the...contrast, I guess.

Bowser's Castle v3

Hopefully this is my final revamp of this stage. As you can deter, it depicts major improvements from v1 and v2. New textures, customized models, and a few personal touches as usual.

I think that the lava at the bottom needs to be brighter, and more of an orange.
I also think that the rocks could use less lava showing through them, and maybe on the surface of the platforms add small dark patches of grass that didn't burn up?
Just a suggestion. :)

So I've now gotten brawl to work on the console via USB Loader GX. I'll be able to make some more vids and stages.

I do, however, need to conquer the issues such as freezing at the sss, and loading hacks for that matter. Not sure how to do either, but I'd appreciate some assistance with solving those problems.

how did u get a opy of the game on ur USB drive? through installation in the usb loader, or through PC, if through PC, please tell me what the hell you did to get the game on the drive, i keep trying, and it always "finishes" without having the game on my drive...

What program are you using?
I use WBFS Manager, and it works fine.

I think I'll make a tutorial on how I've done it. It may prove to be useful for those who are under the same condition as I.

Just need to figure out how to load hacks from it. Once that's done, I can record some much-needed videos.

You did a awesome job. Are you going to put this one on Castle Siege and make the Observatory?

Thank you, sir KTH. Don't forget about ItalianStallion, because he's one of the best as well!

Someone was supposed to give me the model of the observatory, but that never happened. I'd gladly make it over Castle siege if they did.

Just the barrel for now. I want to swap its background with either Kongo Jungle 64 or Jungle Japes's background, though those aren't really animated. I'll also have a version without the barrel.

Nice. ^^ I like how, even with a simple layout, it still has the quirk of not being able to see the ledges properly. Also the high ceiling.

Kinda looks like the UVs for the tops of the ramparts could be laid out more nicely, though—it seems the bricks should follow their orientation so that they are lined up with the sides of the building.

a small thing, try to aply logic to the tower's top, specially at the cut between different textures, if u really want to improve the stage, make it a little bit more like a real tower, i hope u get what i mean, just look at the outer walls of the tower and the floor, it looks illogical and weird

Ah, you must also be referring to how the UV's are. Well, that gives me more to do, but that doesn't mean I can make it absolutely perfect.

Tower of the Wing Cap v2

Better version of my original Tower of the Wing Cap remake. It was freezing, so I did more than a simple fix.

Improved textures, model, vertex paint, and everything else. Remade it to fit the Brawl theme.

brb, gonna eat a quick dinner and go climb a tower.

It still perplexes me why it freezes for some people...Well, off to do some other stuff. Again, thanks for the feedback. I'll post some updates whenever I get around to them.

Edit: Cleaned up and added a few things to the OP.

I was thinking about why the stage freezes for some people. Might be the filesize, or too many models. Not sure, but it could also be certain character hacks. I never really used hacked characters on my stages, except the new Shadow just recently.

I want to hold a stage contest, perhaps around the beginning of June. More details if/when I get around to it. I'd like a few of you better stagers to at least acknowledge it.

I also had an idea to make a custom Fountain of Dreams stage. Just because.

For the contest, just craft a stage(it can be to the best of your abilities, which I don't require but I'd strongly recommend) and submit it to the contest, then a few will judge the submissions. I'll make a thread later on should I decide to carry out the idea.

For the Fountain of Dreams...well, given my difficulty explaining certain details, I may just have to create it anyway. :P

I plan to have the battle take place atop a fountain, of course, with some more realistic yet spectral-colored water. The little fountains would make the outer platforms float, and I would try to find a way to make a third fountain slowly move the upper platform left and right. I would make the terrain just above a lake, with mountains surrounding. There would be a rainbow-ish aurora above the stage as well, and maybe fireworks, just because. I also want to add a colored fog, similar to this (http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/uu268/BlazingKatakiri/SSBB/al_100106_0132.jpg).

Note: the stage will not look like that.

Edit: Something about my "Projected" banner was really annoying to me, so I re-did it.

Your Tower of Wing Cap (a great stage btw) has refused to work for me so far (both versions). I normally don't have this much trouble with any hacks...I've tried this in Dolphin and it works there...I'm on usb with Neogamma, R8. Well, take ItalianStallion here, for example. I'm sure he tried it with the .rel. Not sure, actually, but he tried it over FD, which it goes over by default. It shouldn't need the .rel under certain conditions.

It still stresses me. I need to fix this.

Oh cool. Love how we both used the Rayquaza Lake as a base, and it looks like neither Hidden Oasis, nor this new Fountain of Dreams you're doing.

About your stage, Wingcap Tower, I did try it with a rel, I do now how to use a rel, and I even tried it over FD with no rel, since it goes over that stage by default, and it froze.

I don't know why. I haven't looked into it at all.

Its a damn shame though..

Well then I guess this eliminates that variable. I thought it was changeable depending on how the stage was made.

Well, again, I'm running out of any urge to do stages. I really have no ideas, and the WIP's I have do not appeal to me at all. This might mark the end of my staging hobby. :(

Pokefloats would take quite awhile to animate. Furthermore, Icicle mountain is limited in the rest of its models, so I'll have to make it a non-scrolling stage.

can we make suggestions?

I'm open to suggestions, and of course I liek Zelda.

Heh, I guess my only excuse is that I haven't really played any Zelda games except Link to the Past and Twilight Princess. It would be like making a stage and not knowing what the hell it is. :(

All seems pretty good.

I'm uneasy, though...I have this drive to make something that looks like it belongs in brawl; something that no mere import could achieve without modifications...it's hard to explain.

Well, I may preview a character I made ages ago.

Edit and [censored]:

Those of you who are aware of the freeze on Tower of the Wing Cap (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=30610) and have fallen victim to that problem, I'd like to ask you for help. I need to fix this issue.

I need someone who has encountered this freeze who is willing to be somewhat of a tester of this stage specifically. I'd like you, if you agree, to first tell me if it froze, your method for loading hacks, and...yeah, I guess that's it.

I'll PM anyone who would be most favorable for this task.

He's right you know. Especially since you have no idea what's exactly causing it. If it doesn't work for those certain people, then that's just too bad for them. :)

SSBB Preview - Freezeflame Galaxy ([url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2G4A5MN-Xw#ws[/url])
I like the offset symmetry of it all.
And the space between the platform on the right and right-center seems like a very interesting area.

Well, I'm glad you all like it. Too bad it's far from done.

I thought the new BB would fix that bug with the background srt0/material/model/whatever the [censored] is having problems, but I was wrong, as assumed. As far as it goes with staging, there's just about no difference.

I could use some assistance with that, for anyone who knows how to fix the issue. I still hate asking for help.

Freezeflame is looking very awesome, and the background makes it all really work. Good job. My only suggestion is that all three platforms you can see are all on the same plane, like a straight line of them. If there were some of the other platforms or one of the planets floating a bit behind them it would be nice and make the rest of the space look less empty. It really is awesome though, keep it up.

Yeah, I feel animating the side platforms would help break up the stage a bit and make it not so static. A few planets would be nice too, and I think a penguin or two might help give it some life as well.

That aurora is looking nice, though.

Title: Re: Holy tits, this Legacy guy does stages
Post by: LegacyWolf on May 02, 2013, 03:59:46 PM
Again guys, it's far from done. I wanted to import a few models from SMG and put them in the background. Trust me, this is definitely not how it will stay.

Well, apparently you all think the aurora is fine, so I could leave it corrupt as it is. :P

I may require your services in later projects, as I expect things like this to happen often.

I've changed my mind. I want to get a beta version of Kami's Lookout done. How does that sound? :P

Stuff to do before release:
-Add spec maps to the floor (maybe to the structures as well)
-Perfect the lighting
-Improve the textures
-Add shadows to the stage objects
-Maybe add fog

I also want to improve the water on Planet Namek. The water looks a bit stagnant to me. I plan to add a spec map to the water similar to the spec map used in the water on the Smash Skiff stage.

Yes, it's a sideshot. The sun is in the opposite direction of where the camera's pointing. It's also far from finished, as I'd mentioned in an earlier post.

Like some character training and see Mr. Popo and Dende?

I'm not, because I have a few weaknesses with animations. I also think animations such as that would easily ruin the stage. It makes me cringe when I see it in others' stages.

I've surpassed yet another weakness I've had: Fog. Makes me feel confident that I'll continue to get better. With that being said, I've added a blue fog to Kami's Lookout. I just need to improve it, along with the lighting on the floor, then add shadows to some of the objects, and it'll be ready for a beta release.

^ This. One thing most stage modders needs to remember is that not all Smash bros. stages have animated characters. Kami's Lookout seems like a weird stage to adapt to Smash Bros., best of luck to ya pal :P

I agree. Kami's Lookout really doesn't even belong in brawl, but guess what? I don't give a [censored] because I've been working on this project for a year and a half, going from model to model, texture to texture, program to--yeah, you get it. It's finally being done.

Edit:

There it is. It has few personal modifications, most noticeably the lighting. I've made it come from the west since the Kami's Lookout that I'd been basing this on had the sun in the west. This also gives it a more unique and beautiful look to it as I see it.

Hell yeah, that's always been one of my plans. I wanted to do that once I was able to make it transition to night, but I feel I need to sharpen my skills before I try something like that. Therefore, it's still a beta release or whatever.

Don't worry if Kami's lookout doesn't seem that suited to brawl; even some of M2K's stages end up not very brawl-able when he simply tries to recreate parts of retro games. I'm sure it will be awesome.

Kudos to finishing the Lookout and the promotion; it is a rather fitting color for you LegacyWolf.

Regarding the Freezeflame Galaxy, might I suggest adding a simple outline around the planet similar to the one in the trophy display stage (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081219131526/ssb/images/b/bb/Weavel_Trophy.jpg)? It'll add smoother transition towards space, giving the planet a more realistic feel.

I saw on the older previews you used the Freezie item, If you want I can make those ice block like the one from SMG.

The ice and the planet in the background are what I'd planned to add, but I didn't really think about the rock in the middle. It's just that I would have to add collisions to the rock, and if I did, it wouldn't make sense because I don't think collisions can move off the battle axis. Therefore, I probably won't add the rock.

I did spur an idea. I could make it to where the players need to attack a small stone stump, like the one shown in the image, to make the two outer rocks start moving. How I would go about doing so is yet to be seen.

I've added the Ice crystal things, thanks to KTH. He made the model, and I made some modifications to them.

To get the outline effect, create a rectangular plane around the planet in 3ds rather than using a fog.

Here's (http://www.mediafire.com/download/zg7rc65u6p02pst/FigureDisp2_bg3_ja.brres) the .pac file if you need a base to guide from.

That outline effect uses both.

Well, thanks for linking me to that. It gave me a model and a few textures to work from.

Not even just behind the fighters and without platform collision, but still destructable, like the statues in Castle Siege or the pillars in Luigi's Mansion?

Not even just behind the fighters and without platform collision, but still destructable, like the statues in Castle Siege or the pillars in Luigi's Mansion?

That sounds more like something I'd do with the boulders instead. Still, it's win-lose if I try to do anything like that. It may look nice, but when it comes to brawling, it's not worth it.

Anyway, Chemical Plant Zone should be done soon. Just needs a few more fixes.

So only a few additions are to be made for this stage before its release. I might work on adding the shine.

Chemical Plant Zone is also almost finished. Just needs a few more animations.

Also, for those who already voted, please do so again. I needed to edit the poll.

Edit: I'll be making some SSP's of some of my stages, and maybe some other stages I really like. I'll see what you guys think.

I know for a fact that most of these stages I've had in my roster at least once. I just make SSP's for whatever stages I like. You can call me conceited for making my first SSP's of my own stages, but they're not my favorite.

As for the Stage Expansion mod, yes, I use it. I think everyone should look into using it. It's incredibly beneficial.

Of course your stages deserve sweet SSP's!

Do it, dawg. Same here with the CSP's and SSP's. It just takes too much time to do it manually, so I'm only into making the SSP's.

On a side note, has anyone taken a look at this stage: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=34287 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=34287)

It caught my attention. I really like dark stages like this. As I was testing some of my stages, I wanted to test this one as well, and I was quite impressed with the effects!

SSBB Hack - Meteor_san's Deluxe Night Stadium (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_LqspnxX3c#)

Look, the effects may be simple as [censored], but it looks to me like it turned out nice for the main stage. While the stage may have its ups and downs, especially with those transformations, I just thought it was work mentioning.

Don't worry, I'm getting back to my own [censored] as well. I've had some success in adding a shine to the ice on Freezeflame Galaxy, and after it's perfected, I'll just add some background elements and have it ready for release. Oh, and I'm also working on Chemical Plant Zone.

Actually, I saw and played the stage, it may need some editing for the transformations of it, I see some actualization and improvements here.

Competitive wise: It's a unique PS2, but the dark border may be a slight challenge for competitive type players, particularly the pm version. Still, its overall great! I hope someone does this for PS1...

I don't wanna that since it makes me feel like I'm ripping off, and who knows, maybe Meteor makes the same for the PS1. I sure hope so!

I've obviously seen some co(http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/143/193/cad-20080602-358b1.jpg?1309710446)ally better stage mods, but this one just blew me away with its simplicity.

[censored], it's still nice, though.

Working on Freezeflame Galaxy. Dat shine.

If you think you can't see it, think again.

I've also fixed a few things on Chemical Plant Zone. Still needs to be run through my Mewtwo2000 before release, though.

So, apologies and stuff for being inactive. I have updated a stage:

Not much changed, but it's all I have. Next preview will display some more obvious changes. I may show more if I have time.

I'm loving the model so far, as you already knew on Skype. It just kinda sounds like you're ditching the work you did with Enzo for me.

I don't really want to ditch the work you both put into it, so maybe I'll ask him to do something. :P

Sexy indeed.

I'm quite enticed to see how it'll look in-game. In fact, we should probably get one of those types of previews next time.

Also, keep in mind that it's not going to look exactly like it did in BT3. No sir, it needs to look like it belongs in Brawl. Not like it does, though.

Well, since I'm at a bit of a stand-still with stages, I'd like to take some requests for SSP's, so if you want something, go ahead and cry post about it.

Lol.

Well, it's almost been 2 years, but we finally finished Chemical Poop Zone.

Word to KTH and Mewtwo2000: it was an adventure trying to finish this stage. I'm glad I got to work with you guys.

So yeah.

Audio Got [censored]ed up on the first one. Apologies. It adjusts itself mid-match.

Also got my ass handed to me by Toon Link, but I came back on Planet Namek :D

Edit: [censored] it, nearly all of them have bad audio.

So I've felt stagey this summer. I don't want to post a preview, but I'll post a SSP I've made for the occasion.

This will be released soon.

I'm still taking requests for SSP's, so if you want something, let me know, please.

Edit:

Freezeflame Galaxy!

As many of you know, the design is mainly based off of Super Smash Flash 2, and it's been a project I've procrastinated for too long. Credit to Kabutomaru for ripping the background planet models (huge thanks, btw), KTH for the crystal models, DSX8 for helping with many things, and Mewtwo2000 for material and shader tips.

It goes without saying that there are a few visual kinks that need to be worked out, and because of gameplay, I will add other versions later on.

So, all bull[censored] aside, I present to you version 1 of Freezeflame Galaxy! Download it now!

http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=204430 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=204430)

So I think some of you could tell these are photoshopped. Just wanted to darken the smaller planets in the background because they appeared too bright in Dolphin, but I needed some high-quality pics. That being said, expect some things to be brighter in dolphin. Otherwise, lighting is fine on the console.

I plan on adding a few other versions, like one with a platform above the hole in the middle. I will also record a video once I get proper resources.

In the mean time, I hope you guys enjoy this stage!
