Title: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on July 31, 2012, 04:26:14 PM I'm putting 06 Sonic on a hold for a while so I can work on my other hacks.
(http://puu.sh/NruG) Very early in developement but this is a custom SatAM Sonic model import I'm working on. The progress of it right now however is pretty much 1% Done but I'm working on it along with this one (http://puu.sh/H4gR) Which will get it's own topic later. SatAM Sonic is pretty much going to be a full model hack of Sonic to replace all the models he has besides the spring (don't really know what can replace it). This hack will definitly have Facial Expression, mouth expressions (textured mouths though) and a mix between cartoony style but still fit the Brawl style. If you feel like joining in and helping me out with the project that would be pretty nice (more information on what you can help with below). Anyway that's pretty much all for now. I'm working on this hack as much as I can. Hope you'll like it when it comes out! What you can do to help with the hack: -FREE- = Not Taken -TAKEN- (insert name) = Taken by (username) Texturing help -FREE- Recoloring help -TAKEN- XChosenOne1 Sound help -FREE- (I did see a Jaleel White Sonic voice pack but didn't hear much of it) Animation help -FREE- If you help me out with these things you will be collabed in the release(s)! YesTitle: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on July 31, 2012, 05:27:20 PM Yes Alright. I'll put you on the list. But keep in mind that you will have to do the recolors till I think they're good. Or you can make them look like the Brawl recolors of Sonic. (Super Model was removed due to not being a big fan of the head and I need textures first) About 5% done now. Going to continue down to the bottom and make the shoes before I start with the arms and hands. After that it's the Sphere model which unlike 06 Sonic will be a custom model made to look buzzsawish (SatAM Sonic has that kind of spinball) instead of the normal model. EDIT: (http://puu.sh/NE9z) (http://puu.sh/NGRa) PROGRESS (from what I'm doing) Sonic Model: 100% Sphere model: 100% UV Mapping: 0% Base Textures: 0% Super Model: 0% Expressions: 0% Rigging: 0% Importing: 0% Testing in BrawlBox: 0% Getting Shock to test it ingame: 0% Total: 200%/1000% Done Next up I'm making the Sphere and then I will Unwrap the textures and make base textures. If you want to help me with making better textures so they fit in with the Brawl style more then post a reply on the topic and I will give you the base textures (when they're done) and (maybe) the model so you can see the result before sending it to me (I don't want to see it be uploaded without my permission). Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on October 30, 2012, 11:07:54 AM About Venice, for one, he was actually a Mink, not a hedgehog and two, I don't think he ever actually looked like that. This is the only true artwork I've seen of him. http://www.sonic-cult.org/dispart.php?catid=3&gameid=18&subid=1&artid=3 (http://www.sonic-cult.org/dispart.php?catid=3&gameid=18&subid=1&artid=3) Silver was redesigned plenty of times. I used the first concept art cause I thought it was the coolest. I could animate. I'll keep that in mind once I get back to this project. Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Nightfox on November 06, 2012, 02:58:08 PM I could help with making the new move set. :sonic:
Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: SonicUnderground316 on November 07, 2012, 10:49:19 AM SatAM sonic great idea the model look rather good so far but I still recall him haveing bigger hands and feet (not as big as sega sonic but pretty big still)
Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on November 23, 2012, 03:43:04 PM After a VERY long wait I have finally decided to continue the model
But that's pretty much it I just thought I'd give you guys an update on the model. If any of you are good at texturing I would be very happy if you could give the textures a Brawlified Sonic look to them. Otherwise I'm kinda leaning towards Velen since his work is great but I'm not sure if he'll make the textures for me. If you're reading this Velen then let me know. Imagine 7 of those. You'll get that Super Sonic. Also I... kinda had no other place to put it ^^; Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: SonicBrawler on November 25, 2012, 04:55:26 PM XD i get it lol. what if it was coming out of his backpack?
Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on January 03, 2013, 07:33:21 AM I'll soon get back to this project. Only thing I need to do is fix the nose (some expressions don't have it) and make the spines not be part of the faces. (I should probably also resize them but I probably won't lol)
Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: KTH on January 04, 2013, 07:09:34 PM Just..WOW.

Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on January 19, 2013, 12:49:03 PM SatAM Sonic is near completion! You'll be seeing him in the Vault on March 31!
Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Reaver Ind. on January 19, 2013, 03:40:50 PM This project looks to be progressing really well, I just had some questions about the model. The top fin seems a little to high up, making it look too stiff, and I also wanted to know what was the bolt like things that are poking out of Sonic's shoes.
Other than those two things, the model looks excellent man. :) Title: Re: Project: SatAM Sonic Post by: Mattimation on January 19, 2013, 05:06:40 PM The top spine has already been tilted down a bit. The bolts sticking out are buttons for the jetshoes he's wearing. In the final episodes of Season 1 (A Blast From The Past) he has those shoes when they're falling from a great height. I added them for cool detail. They don't do anything though.
EDIT: FINAL IMAGE PREVIEW -WARNING- Multiple Images of awesomeness will appear when you open this "Spoiler"! You have been warned!
