So the code allows you to use NTSC, PAL, and NTSCJ hacks?
Does the code itself work with the NTSC disc?

Title: Re: File Patch Code v3.5.5
Post by: ASF1nk on August 01, 2012, 08:04:47 PM
I'm confused as well.

I think the code let's you change between folders named RSBP, RSBE, RSBJ, and RSB4.
The code loads whatever is in the selected folder.
Files inside those folders must still be PAL, since the code is for the PAL version of the game.

If this is true, then...
"Now it's possible to switch between all regions (including once extra custom folder)
Switch between PAL, NTSC, NTSCJ and RSB4."

Might be a little misleading, since you can't really switch between game versions, ONLY folders.

Also, I don't know how this will work with files loaded permanently into memory from the loading screen, like the common.pacs and such.

I'm sorry for that!

@ASF1nk  Yes you're right! It allows you to switch between the folders, not the regions itself.

@ASF1nk  Yes you're right! It allows you to switch between the folders, not the regions itself.
Then I guess it would be easier to rename the folders to something similar to RSB4, such as RSB1, RSB2 and such...?

Title: Re: File Patch Code v3.5.5

This code is the same as File Patch 3.5, just with the ability to switch folders.

this code was never brought to ntscu since deathwolf is a pal user
also this code only supports gamecube controller, but deathwolf will look into having it support wiimote

this code is a ported file patch code and alma's clone engine

Title: Re: File Patch Code v3.5.5
Post by: ToadKart on September 10, 2012, 11:34:54 PM
What part of the code is Alma's clone engine? And correct me if I'm wrong, but Alma's clone engine can't have different music and stage icons for the alternate stages like this code can do can it?

I'm trying to make a SSS where each of the 78 stages has at least one alternate stage that's related to it, but I'd like to be able to have different music and stage icons too if at all possible.

um what does switching folders do? does it let you use two PSA's over one character or something?

Title: Re: File Patch Code v3.5.5
Post by: Don Jon Bravo on January 04, 2013, 09:55:22 AM
yes
but u cant have one PSA vs the other PSA over the same character, only one Psa will work

but with extra folders you can expand the amount of fighters in your brawlz

I really want a Gecko NTSC File Patch Code to do everything Riivo can do (SFX, THP, ect.) so I can just use Gecko. :/ Maybe also something that would let you have multiple characters on 1 character (like Shadow over DK & Cloud over DK & have them fight with sepreate movesets) since that would be awesome! Till Gecko can do Riivo's stuff (THP & SFX & stuff) as well I'll stick to Riivo since I just love the movies! The opening movie is actually fun to watch if it's epic ;D

That's because you're using an NTSC version of the game. It works only on PAL regions. It's not ported yet.

Really? I was able to find one that is supposed to be the FPC 3.5.5 for the NTSC and it still has the same strange problem that I described before.

Yea that one by deathwolf is not good, i think he is from europe so his codes are based on pal systems
try 3.5.3 which is the US ntsc version currently working
