The results screen and what looks like the thing at the end at classic mode are also put in STG for somereason and are called STGRESULT.PAC and STGCHARAROLL.PAC
Both can be openned using stash, but you have to hex the tgas back in manually.
Also, boss list (use STASH to edit thier stages), missing master hand and crazy hand. For boss mode only, not normal subspace emissary.
Place them in pf-stage-adventure

Petey-920001
Rayquaza-920101
Porky-920201
Duon-920601
Tabuu-920801
Meta Ridley-920701 (Falcon flyer may not be stashable)
Galleom has two stages-920401 and 920301
Ridley-920501

Picano, if it's cool, can I share my collection of txt files for renaming, for the people who want to use them offline or are too lazy to go on the internet?

Giga Bowser only has one costume, and he's a separate character. His folder name is gkoopa, and the files are to be named FitGKoopa00.pac/.pcs

Slightly off topic, but there's a few texture links broken, where/to whom should i report them to/.

hey, i'm kinda new here. Can you mix 'n match different textures? Like, lets say for link00 i want fierce diety, then for link01 i want twilight link. can you do that?

Also, is there always a limit to how many costumes a charecter can have?

Title: Re: PAC Naming Guide
Post by: Pik on March 11, 2010, 06:16:40 AM
First Question; Yes.

If Link has 6 costumes, you can have 6 texture hacks applied to link.

which of the pokemon/assist trophy names should i use for the folders the real one or the other one

Title: Re: PAC Naming Guide
Post by: LookItsLink on June 09, 2010, 11:44:09 AM
Use the second name for the folders.

You can use this for reference for folder names:
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=bf68243dc4c908b28d78a0e5552916095d6170349cac00195be6ba49b5870170

Go to: Data Partition (NTSC-U) / item
It has all the folder names and original files within them.

I still don't understand. I guess I'm retarded. Say I want to apply a texture for Pit. I take the FitPit02.pac or .pcs file I have and put it into the folder with his name on it?

This is just what I needed. Thanks!

Nevermind my last post. I figured it out. I am having a problem with Bowser though. None of his textures are working. I named them all correctly and skipped 02 like it said, but none of them will work. Anyone have a clue what it could be?

Name your original costume FitToonLink00.pac, the red one FitToonLink01.pac, the blue one FitToonLink03.pac, and so on.

The reason it skips from 1 to 3 like that is because normally, 1 is red, 2 is green, and 3 is blue (just think RGB!), but TL's green costume is his default one.

in the toonlink folder

Name your original costume FitToonLink00.pac, the red one FitToonLink01.pac, the blue one FitToonLink03.pac, and so on.

The reason it skips from 1 to 3 like that is because normally, 1 is red, 2 is green, and 3 is blue (just think RGB!), but TL's green costume is his default one.

what I'm acking is do I have to make folders for fittoonlink00.pac, fittoonlink00.pac and so on

Use the second name for the folders.

You can use this for reference for folder names:
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=bf68243dc4c908b28d78a0e5552916095d6170349cac00195be6ba49b5870170

Go to: Data Partition (NTSC-U) / item
It has all the folder names and original files within them.

Are these actual files, or just a rubric?

We should also include the pac files for the Subspace enemies, which i don't know which ones are needed, which is why I say we should add them. :P I know that adventure_common.arc, in the adventure folder inside the stage folder, holds the adventure items like the key and life stock, and the Primid with all of it's animations (It's almost like a full playable character, but is missing animations like different speeds for wlaking and the win/lose poses and that stuff.), it's weapons and eyes. Because of how complete the Primid is towards a playable character, it's almost like making the playable Giga Bowser, there is really just the item aniamtions that would need to be made, if you use all of it's strange attacks.

Here's a question: what do each of the 5 SmashVille files represent? I'm assuming they mean the time of day, since it follows the Wii's clock. But, which is which? And do any of them represent the K.K. Slider appearance individually, or is he just part of the coding in each one?
