I would like to create a Brawl mod, but I lack the means of doing so. I would love it if anyone could and would be willing to help me with this project.


In this mod, there would be the 78 smash bros veterans--this means they have been in at least 1 Smash Bros. title--, 41 newcomers from games that were already represented in at least 1 Smash Bros. title, and 11 newcomers--this means they are from non-Nintendo games. This leaves a grand total of 129 playable fighters--NOT including the 'Random' icon.

Not only would this mod add a ton of characters from the past, but it would also feature every stage in Smash Bros. history. This includes:

- 16 Smash Bros. 64 stages
- 26 Melee stages
- 31 Brawl stages
-31 WiiU stages
-20 3DS stages

Grand Total:     124 stages


 If you would like to help, please leave a response in which you include what kind of job you would like to do/what you prefer working on. Furthermore, my most convenient method of communication is via Skype, but if that won't work, please let me know and we will figure something out.

I am now learning how to make mods. If anyone can help me figure out how to make a custom CSS/roster, I would be immensely grateful. It would also help me a lot if anyone could help me figure out how to put css icons, character sounds, and stage sounds into the game.

Lastly, again, if you would like to help create this mod, I would be super happy and make everything a lot easier for.

you have skype or something ill help you out a little with the knowledge i know i can help you make ubbtons and css icon and stuff the only thing i cant figure out is brawl ex so i cant help with that XD

Hey, if you still need help, i can work on the basic stuff:
Sprites
Textures
Models
Movesets
and adding the characters

im kinda making a stage expansion using the stage builder because the usual stage expansion only gives you melee and 64 stages, and crashes most of the time, but if i manage to make my mod without any crashes, i could make one stage of one of the builder blocks (like 60 or 80 extra stages in total), adding wii u normal and omega stages, and some extra stages for the non-nintendo newcomers.

lets conbine forces, im sure this is gonna be a great mod! ;D

Not to be the bearer of bad news but I think BrawlEx has a limit of 100 characters. 129 may be to many characters.

Actually, i believe that in a recent update it made it up to like 120 or something. But yes, so some of them will be clones with unique movesets

Way to contradict yourself buddy. Clones don't get unique movesets. If you gave (for example) Dark pit a unique moveset, he would no longer be a clone.

ok, what I meant was that they would be different colors of other characters that have unique movesets.

Also, can we please leave this thread for comments for those willing to help or put in something? Seriously though, I'm going to need more help. Let me know if you want to!

Then either you should make a new topic for people to discuss the game or you should have someone move this to the project concept page and rename it. People telling you the limitations of Brawl is helping you. If you don't know that there can only be 100(or 120 as you said, I'm not sure of this myself) then your project is already in jeopardy of drastic changes, there just telling you something they think will help. Regardless of what you decide you should have a topic for people to discuss this project in, since they cant do it here

Look, it's possible for there to be more characters, as long as they are different 'colors' of the others but with a unique PSA. I've seen it done, and yes, i will make a thread for discussion.
