These look really nice! Looking forward to the Sunset Hill Zone and Morton's Castle stages especially. If you're specializing in GBA game stages, I'd hope to see other Super Mario Advance or DKC GBA stuff in the future as well.

Thanks a lot broskii! Sunset Hill Zone? Did you mean Sky Canyon Zone?  Because I released Sunset Hill Zone a long time ago already lol.
I'll definitely be adding some more Super Mario Mario Advance stages! Maybe some DKC ones as well! :)

Hey. I like the stages you made! :)
I was wondering. Could I request for a stage I need for a certain project I am working on? I wasn't sure if I could request here or message you about it.

Yeah man! :)
Just put the request here &
I'll see if I can fullfill it.

Cool. Thanks! :)
I was wondering if I could ask for a Clu Clu Land stage over Hanenbow.

Something like this stage, but could work as both Battlefield and Summit but in its own original way: (http://gamefabrique.com/storage/screenshots/nes/clu-clu-land-05.png)

Note that the background could be animated but without Bubbles in it.

Oops, I thought you were still working on Sunset Hill when I saw it in your SA3 pack...Sky Canyon Zone looks pretty neat as well!

As far as requests, there's a really cool option from the first Super Mario Advance, in World 4-2...midway through the level, there's an area where you have to jump across the backs of a group of whales (https://youtu.be/clCzUWmWHpo?t=44). That would be a unique option for sure, separate from the grasslands-based SMB2 stages that usually get made.

There's also a portion of DKC's Mine Cart Carnage level here (https://youtu.be/f5xnA9qAHbo?t=58) where the mine cart track could lend itself well to stage platforms (especially since mine carts are one of the series' most iconic aspects).

Hmm interesting idea... bro. :)
Okay so...
Do you want the players to be able to interact with the bubbles & levers or do you want all that to just be in the background & the characters fight  on a platform infront of it?
Like how my teen titan stage is

NO PROBLEM! ;)
I have found the pages for those in need.

- Boards/Background: http://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/cluclu/sheet/54721/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/cluclu/sheet/54721/)
- Bubbles & Enemies: http://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/cluclu/sheet/19370/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/cluclu/sheet/19370/)

You'd have to watch the gameplay of Clu Clu Land to see how it works. Thanks!

Okay, so it could have Bubbles and the level in the background while a level plays. It can alsointerest with them. Sorry I forgot to reply back.

Woot woot! I dit a little digging myself, and here are the sprites I found:

--Super Mario Advance background (it's the snowy hills one): http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/24989/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/24989/)
--Whale, water and ice platform sprites (these are from the Super Mario All-Stars version of SMB2, but should probably work here as well): http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/supermariobros2/sheet/7210/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/supermariobros2/sheet/7210/)
--Donkey Kong Country mine backgrounds: http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/45121/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/45121/)
--Donkey Kong Country mine platforms: http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/24388/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/24388/)

There are actually sprites up there for every single level from DKC1 and 2, which is pretty impressive IMO.

Liking what I'm seeing so far from Blackthorn Gym on YouTube! Also, just as an FYI, the Super Mario Advance stage is actually Level 4-2, not 2-4 (all the worlds only have three levels, so the wrong name might be confusing for some).

Lol thanks broskii.
I'm having trouble with the Super Mario stage though.  The problem I feared would happen happened. I cannot get a high resolution background.

This is what I have so far. But you see how the background kills the whole thing due to the sheer lack of quality it has.

Huh...maybe that's because that background was the one item I linked from Super Mario Advance, while the rest of it was from Super Mario All-Stars?

Here's a version of the same snowy hills from All-Stars (http://www.mariouniverse.com/images/sprites/snes/smb2/bg-snowmountains.png (http://www.mariouniverse.com/images/sprites/snes/smb2/bg-snowmountains.png)). Maybe that'll work better? If not, it wouldn't be too big a deal to use general blue sky (http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/supermariobros2/sheet/7209/ (http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/supermariobros2/sheet/7209/)) for the background...the rest of the stage definitely looks kickass so far!

Just checked out your World 4-2 video on YouTube...it's magnificent! The level really feels 'alive' with the Beezos in the background and the various items — excellent touches there. The one glitch(?) I noticed was that there seems to be a small pixelated line below the Ace Coin. Not sure whether that's the level itself or your TV (it seems to be below one of the cherries in your preview images, so I'm guessing the latter).

In any case, it's a great stage that I can't wait to add to my personal build. Thanks for making it!

Ayyy!!! Thanks bro!
The cherrys are animated as well. Idk if you can tell from the video because it isn't that high quality but they swing back & forth like they do in-game.

It's hard to explain... but the "line(s)" that you see are reflections. Light is reflecting off of the transparent models that I needed to use to add the little items & nick-nacks for the stage.  The reflection off of the edge of the model makes it look as though their is a line fading in & out of view as the camera angle changes . In reality it is just the edge of the model reflecting light. I can't do anything about that unfortunately.  =\

Dang sorry bro, I wasn't even able to start it yet. I'm definitely going to start on it Monday because I'll have some spare time. The only days I work on stages is Tuesday  & Wednesday;my days off from work. I have a lot of free time before I go to class those days. But Monday I'm off from class so I will definitely have time to start & probably finish the stage.

I'm a bit confused on how you want the layout of the stage to be broskii.
Where you thinking of something like this where the back contains the stage itself and you fight on a platform in front of it???

No not really because I never played that game but if you have a request for a stage or level from that game I could probably make it if I can get my hands on the textures/sprites from the game.

Can't wait to try out World 4-2, and Morton's Castle was a really pleasant surprise...wasn't expecting to see that one for a while. Nice work!

One thing, since I didn't see it in your original post, are you still planning on doing Mine Cart Carnage? I can definitely understand if you want to restrict to one request per user, just wondering if it's still on the table.

Yeah I managed to build Mortons Castle out of nowhere last night lmao.
Oh yeah I still plan on making it. Or at least attempting to make it.
But I want to work on some other stages first so there's no due date for it. But I'll slap it up there on the list of up coming stages.

You're welcome I wish I could have done more. But the game itself is pretty basic. There's not much movement as compared to a super mario advance stage.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles Lava Reef Zone

But consider it done! =D

Yeah I just lost a little interest in brawl hacking again do to the small accumulation of downloads on my new stages.

I used to hack because it was fun & I got the motivation to hack MORE because of the amount of people that enjoyed my stages.  I would upload a stage & bunch of people would download it & enjoy it & I'd feel the desire to make more to make more people happy.
I got my motivation from other peoples enjoyment of my stages.
But it seems like not many people play brawl anymore. I barely get any downloads now after I put 5 - 6+ hours of effort into a single stage.
It doesn't seem like it's really worth it to make stages anymore.
Maybe I'll switch over to project M stage hacking because nobody really plays brawl anymore but project M is still HOT.

I've had fun with your recent stages, but yeah, people seem to be mostly interested in the competitive-leaning stages nowadays. Maybe you'd get more downloads for your other listed stages if the layouts were more tourney-friendly (for example, based on Battlefield, Fountain of Dreams, Wario Land and whatnot)?

I know Smash Bros. Legacy XP, for example, is trying to compile as many quality tourney stages as possible for its new builds...and it already has some other fun ones like your Ghost House stage. Maybe reaching out to them is a good way to get more attention for your projects?

Yeah you're exactly right. I'm going to have to start  making more balanced, competitive friendly stages if I want more downloads.
Nobody really plays Brawl for FUN anymore since Smash 4 came out.
They mostly play it for 1v1s

So I'll focus on making more + stages.

Sounds like a good idea...but it seems like the smash 4 stage hacking scene is like nonexistent lol.
People say that it's possible to make stage hacks for it but I haven't seen any.
I also hear it's extremely difficult to hack stages for that game as well.
Maybe when they dumb it down & make a program(s) that can easily read the game  i'll jump into it.

In any case, I found a segment from the Mine Cart Carnage stage that, if you're still interested, could be translated into a Yoshi's Island (Brawl)-type platform layout for the Project M/Legacy folks.

Can be accessed from these sprites about midway through the level (https://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/24388/ (https://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/24388/)) with the background being here (https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/dkc/sheet/45121/ (https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/dkc/sheet/45121/)).

Looking forward to seeing the final product of that and any other projects you're able to complete in the near/not-so-near future :-D
