Title: Geck OS Dolphin Help
Post by: SirReginaldVonBartlesbeid on October 09, 2017, 03:53:29 PM
Probably heard this one before; Gecko OS on Dolphin stuck on 'Setting up Drive...'

Used the stuff from the link up there, with the newest Gecko. Thoughts?

Does Gecko OS work with only a File Patch Code enabled for Brawl? Do you have a gameconfig.txt in the root of your SD card?

Sorry for the delayed response. First, I have no idea what that means. Second, yes. It has:

RSB?01:
codeliststart = 80569000
codelistend = 80580000
hooktype = 7
poke(800042B8, 60000000)
pokeifequal(803E9930, 4BFECA1D, 803E9930, 60000000)

Do you compile your own GCT file? If you plan on making edits to the codes applied to Brawl via a GCT file, it's best to know what you're putting into that file.

If not, are you using a pre-built mod pack?

I'm using the pre-built pack: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=213977 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=213977)
And using the GCT file already with it.

It loads for me on Dolphin 5.0-5667. Which version of Dolphin are you using? In Dolphin's config options -> Wii tab, do you have "insert SD card" checked?

Also, in Dolpihin's View tab, can you:
1. Enable "show log" and "show log configuration"
2. In the log configuration tab, switch "Verbosity" to "info"
3. "Toggle all log types" so all check boxes are checked

Then run Gecko OS until you reach your problem and copy the contents of the log so I can see them. You'll probably want to switch "verbosity" back to the default value and hide logging when you're done since it can negatively impact performance.
