Title: Mod was taken down Post by: Ginokami428 on October 15, 2017, 02:04:07 PM One of my mods (my Megaman Zero 3 recolor mod: http://www.mediafire.com/error.php?errno=378&quickkey=2p44d51x0swg51x&origin=download (http://www.mediafire.com/error.php?errno=378&quickkey=2p44d51x0swg51x&origin=download)) was recently taken down by Remove Your Media , LLC on Mediafire for supposedly violating the Terms of Service :o :'(. My other 2 mods are perfectly fine (Mew Zakuro: http://www.mediafire.com/file/50gi62xte7z72wi/fitzerosuitmewzakuro.zip, (http://www.mediafire.com/file/50gi62xte7z72wi/fitzerosuitmewzakuro.zip,) and PS1 era Millia Rage: http://www.mediafire.com/file/1qorm19kk35z5e8/FitSZerosuit00MilliaPSX.zip (http://www.mediafire.com/file/1qorm19kk35z5e8/FitSZerosuit00MilliaPSX.zip) :kdance:). I'm curious if this is a valid case of copyright infringement :police: or if this company is just some annoying trolls >D. I have not received any sort of email in regards to the take down, and this is the first time this has happened to me. Has anyone else here had this problem? Otherwise, I'm taking all my mods down permanently, as I certainly don't wanna pay any legal fines, but would try to if I had to!
Title: Re: Mod was taken down Post by: windhunter7 on October 15, 2017, 02:08:21 PM So, 2 things: The first is that I have also had a mod taken down (Before I put it back up) And I got an email about it, so it's probably not valid removal (although I can't guarantee if it is or isn't)
The second thing is that most of the time, people will just get a Cease and Desist, and it's exceedingly rare to have to pay a fine Title: Re: Mod was taken down Post by: Ginokami428 on October 16, 2017, 05:38:55 PM Well, now the problem is is that the company in question (Remove Your Media, LLC) now has my account DMCA'ed claiming I'm infringing on Viz Entertainment's rights and have several links posted to illegal downloads to pictures and movies and such (to which, I have no such media or links). Also, if I want to file a complaint, I'm supposed to enter a pin number on a page (claims its mediafire) but I can't enter anything on said page.
