Title: Character entry crashes the game Post by: DUMMY on March 29, 2018, 12:05:33 AM Eh, yeah I got more to talk about this bug that's been the bane of my modding career. I've made a mod that's called "Sonic Pokemon Z" and on occasion when a character's entry is trying to show up, or even when it isn't (Training mode), the game may crash. I know that no files are corrupt and it is entirely random. I did some troubleshooting just to come-up empty handed for years now. I have noticed that the game on rare occasions doesn't load the texture or Motion file for a non-BrawlEx character. If the game tried to load a BrawlEx character it would certainly crash. Though that doesn't explain why it happens in Training Mode as I can see that all of the character's files have loaded properly.
Brawl Vault isn't exactly the most populated place anymore, but if I can fix this then I can focus on some other bugs in the game and help others that have issues with it. Title: Re: Character entry crashes the game Post by: windhunter7 on April 01, 2018, 12:50:23 AM I used to be a Gecko user, but I had encountered the random freeze; it's a Gecko thing; then I moved to Riivolution, but that took too long to load; then I moved to Project M, replacing skins via that method; now I do PM, Dolphin, and Gecko, but the newest Gecko, which seems to work fine so far; which Gecko version are you using?
