Several codes have been made since, particularly for Project M. It has several parts, at least 3-4 iirc to make it function with the newer codes, but its been a while since i've looked.
so that part is specifically to enable air dodge, there is one to make you fall into special fall after, and a couple that allow you to do actions while "teching" which include sliding off the ledge.
