How can I fix the BrawlEX crashing when picking a character then a clone after?
Like if I choose Pikachu for one game, and after that game pick Pichu, the game will crash before the stage even loads. I noticed PM BrawlEX builds like Legacy XP don't have this issue. Is it because the PM version of BrawlEX has more fixes since nobody seems to care about vBrawl players any more?

It also doesn't happen with some clones. Sonic clones work fine.

I don't seem to have this issue myself. For example, I have 3 Pikachu clones in Exslots (Raichu, Sparky, and Pichu.) All of them load fine and even when I choose the character I placed over Pikachu (Majin Vegeta) it loads fine. I'm using a non-PM build so I don't think that Legacy XP would have the answer.

Have you done anything else to get this to work correctly?

Are you JUST choosing the Pikachu clone, or are you choosing Pikachu, ending the game and then choosing the clone the next game?

I'm not finding any issues at all aside from a graphical bug between Raichu and Vegeta (Majin), which I just fixed. Did you make sure that all of the config files are adjusted correctly?

Yes. Just to be sure, what adjustments should be made to prevent this? Pichu works on his... her... its...? ... His own if I don't pick Pikachu before.  Is there an edit to the configs to fix it I may have missed?

Not that I can think of, no.

Hm... I have no idea then. Should I send my four Pichu configs? They look correct to me.
