Not that I accomplished much of anything, but you're welcome! Thanks for letting me take a look. I hope eventually you can figure it out cause that would be epic!
Tell them to check the battle event data if they could as the texture animation data is probably in there somewhere. Either that or you'll have to figure out what controls the texture allocation in the hex file and edit it to map correctly without the need for the animation.
It's so odd, because it does work perfectly fine in BrawlBox. No matter the edits I made to it I couldn't get the textures to pop up. It seemed like the Metroid was pulling from various resources around it at times to even have a texture. What method did Demonslayer use to convert the model? 404's or FortWaffle's method? I'd say maybe try the other conversion out and see if you get any different results. I think there definitely is something wrong in the Hex, however I'm not quite sure where to look in the file to find the problem.
For these you could just download textures people have made for them on the Vault and re-texture them how you see fit (If they're vertexed you should get permission). Or if you're looking to do Psa work then I'm fairly certain you can find the Pac files you're looking for also here in the Vault. I looked at a topic which has all the Pac files a moment ago and Sonic says it's temporarily unavailable, so either try again later or try what I've already said.
This was taken in BrawlBox, however it gives you the general idea of what to expect.
Since I'm limited to 9 blocks I'll have 4 breakable on top, 3 in the middle and 2 on the bottom. I think that would be for the best. As far as the ideas have been so far I'm liking them! An area beneath the stage would be interesting as it would be similar to Spear Pillar. Also the part to the left would be interesting, but I'll have to expand the stage boundaries to do so. I always loved that you could nerf Bowser's fire to puffs of smoke by doing that trick xD. Anyways including SMB3 Bowser would be too epic for words haha, I just have to figure out the best way to incorporate him. Hope everyone likes how it looks so far btw!
Update Edit: I will be including a .brstm file of this song:
MB aka Melissa Bergman should be in Brawl, complete with a PSA!!! This would be too epic for words. I also loved Other M!
Also are Other M models .mdl0 format? If so I could try to get the model to work/look proper for you, assuming no one else is doing this. From my knowledge I'd just have to hex the animation data to fit Brawl format and of course turn the model to be in the correct position on your stage.
Lot's of cool ideas floating around here and I like it. I agree that Brawl needs more MGS. Maybe if I can find something that catches my eye I'll try to make a stage? We'll see. Currently I'm working on a SMB3 stage, but after that's all said and done then maybe.
Also I want to put my two cents in and say that pretty boy Raiden should go over an outfit of Snake seeing as how they have the exact same moves...MGS4 Raiden on the other hand should definitely be an alt. outfit of Grey Fox.
Since it's for the community, I want to ask here to see what people like. I plan on making 2 different versions of the stage. It is going to be the area where you fight Bowser.
The two versions will be one with non-breakable blocks and one with breakable blocks (as soon as I figure out the animation process to do so. Also just a heads up, yes I realize I can only do 9 breakable blocks tops). The non-breakable version is done and I'll go ahead and say the stage is mostly in 3-D so no worries about this being a cheap 2-D stage (not that all 2-D stages are bad). The opinions I want are what weren't in the original version. Such as should there be a moving platform underneath the stage? Or maybe some on the sides? Should I add in any extra art from the Mario universe? Or should I simply leave it as is and release the first version? And just so everyone knows the picture is NOT my stage! (As if that's not obvious haha) Thanks to anyone who lends an opinion!
Edit: Also another heads up, the current layout is a Final Destination-ish type stage, as in it has a single platform currently...for the most part.
Well for starters try exporting the .mdl0 and putting it over a fresh Sheik model. If that doesn't work you may have to do some Psa work.
Edit: Also (obviously haha) you'll have to export/import your textures as well and any changed bones (if you changed any). If you did change the bones of the model, that could also be causing the freezing issues as it can mess with the animations and what-not of the moves.
I'm pretty sure this is possible, but I have no idea why you'd want to do this? If there's a character you don't like, just replace them with Ike, Marth, Metaknight, etc.
