As you can see in the title, I'm quitting from brawl hacking. My SD card got corrupted and all my projects were lost. There's no point for me to start all over, so I'm retiring. It's a shame, because I really liked doing stages, it was a really good way to spend my time and such...

I'm not quitting or something, my SD card is okay, and I usually make copies of my thingies... So... Don't worry, if you were starting to worry O.o
i think that if you sent it in, they might be able to tell that it was softmodded. but even if they don't, i think they would still update it to the latest version of the firmware.
you can send it in, get it fixed, and install riivolution again or you can install the usb loader/wiiflow apps on the homebrew channel and play it off a flash drive(unfortunately you can't use riivolution on flashdrives).

They can, I have a friend who got his wii serviced and they removed the homebrew channel and upgraded his wii to 4.3
(And considering your DVD drive is broken your rather off sticking to a usb loader like neox said.
They're two different files, the stage music is in the strm folder which is in the sound folder and is called Q13. The sound effect is somewhere in the smashbros_sound.brsar.
The name for assist trophy is Asf[insertnamehere].brres as you said. It goes in the item folder (after you make a folder that has the [insertnamehere] part of Asf[insertnamehere].brres).
