Thanks for an awesome tutorial. But, cuz me being a newbie and all at this modding business, I have stumbled upon something that makes me wanna pull my hair out.
So, here's the deal:
I successfully added/replaced a new song to a stage and changed the name of the song, BUT only in the menu with the sliders that controls how often the song pops up whenever you play in that stage. When I go and select the stage, the new song is playing, but the text on the top left corner still retains the title of the original song. How do I change it to the title of the new song?
I'm currently running Project M on Riivolution. The mod version is 2.5.1
not familiar with title moddign in project M's mod, but mu_menumain_en and info.pac's contain message data, inside this are the song titles and some menu descriptions
I've had problems with the current revision of brawlbox, where I cannot increase the jumps allowed or item throw velocity for yoshi otherwise it freezes randomly OUTSIDE the moves the attribs are accociated with (but the desired effects work) (it was a restoration of a previous hack for yoshi I downloaded and that DL worked, and my edits are 1:1 of the DL'd one)
Pardon me for my stupidity but.. I can't quite tell if this stage is over Final Destination or Lylat cruise.. http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=8869 It says it goes over Lylat cruise but the download file is called "Final cruise". And Lylat is like castle seige. They have multiple stages in one. And this one only comes with one stage. So I'm confused does this go over Final Destination or Lylat cruise? Again forgive me if it's stupid to ask this here or mention this here.
probably lylat and they just changed the ship model to FD's
@sjs: sadly the BV is uncensored entirely but we have removed reports with cursing before, since it's inappropriate. ... Does it even contain anything ready for brawl? If not, kill it with fire.
I found textures... but I've seen them somewhere before (last year)....
some guys named luigiturd and foREVer stole my textures and used them on the vault without my permission. I keep them locked on my computer but somehow its identical to what I made so it has to be stolen.
either coincidence, or they very professionally replicated yours from scratch (its possible)
Reply to this IMMEDIATLY! it's about the mu_menumain.pac
First off, this is my file location:
SD:privatewiiappRSBEpfmenu2mu_menumain.pac
now i edited it with BrawlBox, the video told me, grant that i like the image. I replaced the image, factory_background, with the same thing. Then i compressed it and it saved. btw. i have file code replacement code and common5.pac.
So when i open up brawl with Gecko, it loads and the menu is able to work, BUT! my CSP, CSS, and all that stuff doesn't. But if i use Riivolution, My menu background dissappears and i can't get the CSPs to work. (not concerned about the CSS). what the heck am i doing wrong! Post Merge: September 02, 2012, 08:20:45 AM forgot, here is the video i used. [Brawl Menu Hack] Guide To Make Custom Menu Hack!!!!
there is an edit button on your post if you wish to add something to it. I believe I already helped you in the chat, so let me know if my common5 works, and if any of your textures work as well, I already gave you the GCT with the gecko file patch code
Why do I feel like people with no posts or even anything going for them hack wise, should have no privileges in reporting? I swear they're [censored]ing clueless about everything.
They don't even know where a Mario recolored texture goes for [censored]s sake.
these type of people in the chat too, also seem desprite that they are willing to give me control of their computer to "install" it for them
wrong forum... but the BRSAR file is ONLY in charge of sfx and voices, not the music (brawl is not one of those games where there is music in the BRSAR)
check the audio settings in-game to make sure its not set all the way to favor SFX
if you HEXed your BRSAR at ANY time, you may have corrupted the loop/reference data for the BRSTMs in there.. you will need to start over on your BRSAR from a fresh file,
*BRSAR files also house looping data to govern the BRSTMs that play in the game, and can be anything from volume control, manipulating the music (wacky effects), or channel management (MarioKart Wii and Mario super sluggers)
So that's why some packs i try to make and test don't work. how do i fix this "over 0xDDDDD" thing anyway?
reduce the quality of the wav (this reduces the sample count, not the length, and will eat up less space), avoid using a full on army of 48KHz samples across the whole group
my wii randomy crahses and tells me too eject the disc and reinsert it...does anyone know why is that? is it becasuse of too many mods? we have 4 people playing at once.
this is a gouged disc/dying disc drive issue, if you rub the disc on your cheek and it feels rough, buy this, run it 2 times through, then try again if thats NOT the case, then it may be the SD card being weird, or your DVD slot is dying
