http://www.mediafire.com/?x8u036z2u9dq1rx ^that is what I was able to make so far, it was VERY tedious to do between virtualPC (32-bit) and windows7 (64-bit) since smashbox is picky on what bit it's on
I can't really test it and I have reached the end of my suitable ideas for this
can anybody help me test this and recommend/suggest clips to use?
use the list I updated on the original post to see what I am missing.
(you will become part of the collab by helping me out with at least ideas or testing
What's the recommended decibel level for SFX? I know that music is 95 and victory themes are 97, but...
I don't measure db, i just blast it as loud as i can while removing ALL clipping caused by it... sony acid says it's at infinite (max level) and -136 (softest) I simply max that meter without exceeding it
and i have 2 BRSTM hacks on hold to upload.... at least it's not gonna climb at light speed since i have a low-hacking rate at the moment and i have no computer to make loads of hacks with...
I can accept small requests for BP/CSPs, HOWEVER, I cannot resume making these hacks yet until i have a computer that has a graphics card good enough for my photoshop needs
Are you willing to search and find songs that are uploaded twice? Cause i can point you to one already.
My surprise butsecks song, one uploaded by me and one by KingJigglypuff. Mine is better quality then his since his changes volume multiple times during the song, while mine does not.
I like your point because... they are all NOT exactly the same in quality, or volume, one may be too soft and sfx will be way too louder than the music, another could be bloody loud and distorted, and another could be very loud, but very clean... if a downloader wants a loud one, they can pick that, if they just want one, they would pick any..
since i primarily do music hacks, I just make them as loud and as i can while keeping the quality clean so it's not annoyingly quiet, so if one person has music hacks that were ALL done by me, they don't have to worry about changing the volume settings for different stages the music hacks i make is loud and clear, which is what i would expect in the vault if i were browsing music
BRSTMs don't count. You can still upload them, but they won't count towards your DL count. Picano wants to take a day or two to sit down and try to fix it.
well nearly ALL my hacks are BRSTMS and my ammount of hacks count dropped to almost nothing, I kind of use that to keep track of what hacks i already made (to date)
I was trying to give the Shadow over DK some new victory voices, as well as some new taunts. (I just wanted to get a better grip of sound hacking.) But once i put them in and did some rearranging on the FitDonkey.pac file. (I mean i add some certain sound effects to be played during that animation.) the voices went silent. But everytime i would die i could still here Sonic's death voice clips. So i know i must have done something wrong either putting in the SFX or the PSA part. Do you by any chance know what i did wrong? and how i can possibly fix this?
to me, that sounds like sound calling mistakes... also as jaklub said, keep the size as close to the original (the group) lower the frequency if you have to
Hey Jaklub i have a question about adding your own SFX. What frequency does the clip need to be if your just adding voices? like taunt voices and win voices.
then your wii scrubber should work. if its a preshrunk iso then its already scrubbed and a wbfs rip can be an issue cause it can be corrupted when its transferred back to iso. best bet is to just go buy the game >.> there's plenty of programs to rip the iso from it on ur comp
I already have a copy of the game (retail disc)
i just want to try booting the hacks on an emulator or the usb loader to use the sd card while using the hacks (and SFX)
lol i just use my friends comp for most things, but 3ds max, and a few other programs won't work right on it. but comp should be fixed on saturday
back on topic: in brawlvault i the resources page they have an older wii scrubber. no real source for it but thats i believe is the most stable version it's here http://www.mediafire.com/?eonnimwmjmm
and on this page is a link to the one that i use personally. seems to have an issue on a few things but seems good for just replacing files as well as extracting and creating a new partition *makes replacing a bunch of textures at once easier but it takes about 30-54 mins http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=135884 *another thing to note is make sure it has partition builder 1.1 in it 1.2 corrupts the iso when used
*last thing to note you don't need to press the scrub button at all for dolphin your likely to hit more issues if you use it.
will let you know if problems occur
the link leads to multi-boot, which sound like the one i used
(as for using the term scrub, i simply meant mass ammounts of file replacement)
*EDIT*
the version i HAD the IO problems and corruption with is 1.40 multi-boot part builder version is 1.1
when i tried to get help ni the past, i was told that i was using either: someone's pre-shrunk ISO (from the net) a WBFS rip (from homebrew)
well if thats ur case... then u need to change ur settings in Dolphin then. Every dolphin is different and needs different settings for brawl to run.
which Dolphin r u running?
it boots the brawl ISO BEFORE i file-replace, then as SOON as i file-replace, the thing doesnt boot the iso, it DOES boot everything else and an unmodded brawl iso
even simpler i think it's wii scrubber, the newest versions are not as stable as some of the older ones. i'd give a link to mine but its on my comp wich is currently out of commision for a few more days. i'll find a link shortly.
thanks... (as for computer out of commission relations with you, my computer, which ran 32-bit, died, so i can't do SFX hax with smashbox... but by using my parent's computer, i figured out a way to get smashbox runnign on 64-bit machines running ultimate or pro and that's to run them in xp mode on virtural PC)
