Mewtwo2000, do you know what the limit of the number of stages that can be on the SSS is? In the SC_Selmap.pac, I see 41 pos bones, so I assume at least 40. But the game freezes getting to the SSS when I have more than 26 in the SSS code? Is 26 the actual limit? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the stage select slots go from 00 to 25 in hexidecimal, and I'm guessing that you're trying to use normal, non-hexidecimal values, or naming stages that way, like STGCUSTOM40. Remember: 00-09 → 0A-0F → 10-19 → 1A-1F → 20-25. 25 is the hexidecimal value for 38
I've also made a first video showing yet another Ocarina of Time stage:
[Dodongo's Cavern]
It looks great, but might I offer some suggestions: -By the time Link activates the rising platform on the right, the door on the left is no longer locked. Really this is just a nitpick, and whether you change it or not will in no way affect the stage itself. -I like the way the platform on the right forces players to KO opponents either to the left or top. Could you make a version where both platforms rise, alternating between, left, right, and both at the same time? -For an aesthetic change, the Dodongo's eyes could light up, and the mouth could open during the battle.
Cool. I was hoping it would be on the bridge. Gerudo Valley showed up as a stage for SSB 3DS, and even has fall-through platforms on the sides of the bridge.
I am curious about this too. Also, How do the ice climbers work in regards of Popo and Nana switching places based on the slot number. I haven't gotten that far yet.
I'm not sure about this, but aren't the two the exact same, but trading models for half the slots? I did a hack that switches Popo for Nana and vice versa just by switching their MDL0 files.
I can't see through all the pages, as some of them freeze my browser repeatedly, so this might've been discussed, but I'll go ahead and ask anyways. Can Jigglypuff hats such as my Nana's hat Jigglypuff work over the new slots? They normally can only go over FitPurin02.
It makes sense, but I'm not doing it for the moment. Maybe in the future, but not a priority now.
I understand completely. I wasn't exactly expecting you to say "Okay, I'll drop what I'm doing and do that right now!" I'm more interested in your future projects. I just like to throw my ideas out there.
I know this is probably a nitpicky thing to ask, but could you add some music notes to the stage? In Banjo-Kazooie, dying/leaving the level would cause all notes to reappear, so leaving the level in Brawl should be able to do the same thing. edit: maybe even a jiggy where it appears in-game.
For some odd reason, I look at your MKWii Custom track videos (especially SSBB Mario Circuit) and I think about Wario and his bike. Is character/vehicle model importing possible in MKWii, and if so, do you think you could import Warioware Wario and his Motorcycle from Brawl into MKWii?
It seems like he's just trolling. Just handle him like any other troll and ignore him. He's completely unrelated to this thread anyways, so there's no need to talk about him. Moving on...
On another side, in MKWii, I've given Ancient Lake some Diddy Kong Racing balloons to replace the item boxes, and they're looking nice. It's a shame I cannot make different colored balloons, but it's fine.
I'll just pretend I typed in "BOMBSAWAY" on the password screen. xD
Diddy Kong Racing was my first multiplayer racing game, my favorite N64 racing game, my 3rd favorite N64 game, and my least favorite DS game, so this stage is making me overflow with nostalgia. Do you think you could make a Brawl stage of it with a platform that flies around the stage (something like the air plane or Taj's magic carpet)? Also, PLEASE tell me you plan to make Icicle Pyramid for MKWii! Half the time I played DKR was on that stage battling it out with my brothers!
There will be Pokefloats in the 3DS / Wii-U version before DS finishes his
If Smash Bros. has had any pattern in it's releases, it's that they only include stages from the previous entry in the series. Melee had N64 stages, and Brawl had Melee stages, so more than likely, 4 will not have 64/Melee stages. I hope Nintendo proves me wrong, though.
