But I can keep the bow/bomb/boomerang from appearing and change it to do damage the way I want it to, right? So that I can use the moves I made myself.
I got a few questions regarding animations. Since I'm new to all this I know fairly little about it so go easy on me with animation-related terms (: I made a model of me over Toon Link and gave him a nice two-handed blade and now I want to reanimate him completely.
The first question comes down to this: Toon Link uses a lot of ranged stuff like bombs, boomerang and a bow. If I redo the animations of these skills, like neutral B (bow&arrow) can I just do some plain sword swing over it? 'Cause in the animation you don't see him actually grabbing his bow (Well he does try to grab it but all he gets his hands on is air I guess) so if I do some plain old sword swing over neutral B, will he still grab his bow? Or a bomb or a boomerang or whatever!
Second question is if I stretch the bone of the sword, as it's two-handed and the original isn't, will it's range automatically grow?
Third and last question is how does the damage work? If I got my animations down, will it do Toon Link's damage on the corresponding move?
I made a Toon version of myself as my first hack ever. Giving him a two-handed blade (actually already gave him) so I was wondering how I should remove the shield. Can I just delete polygons or do I need to remove it using 3DS or w/e? (:
I load brawl through a USB-loader and a hdd, but recently my hdd stopped working. The brawl addict I am, I couldn't wait until I purchased a new hdd and figured I'd put it on my sd card. The game works and stuff, but it doesn't load my hacks. My USB-loader does load the codes and I can move my camera all the way. Any idea of why the hacks won't load?
I just finished my first vertex hack which comes in six colours. Problem is that colour one only loads on p1, colour 2 only on p2 and so on, anything I can do to fix this?
I just made a Toon Joey out of Toon Link (Joey as in me, haha) and went to test it out on my wii, it worked so I was real happy (: Then I noticed that my cap moves really weird (I made the cap of Toon Link into a regular new era-kinda cap) When I move around (some moves do it and some don't) sometimes the cap goes back to it's original pointy-cap thingie, so I thought; that must be the bones.
I had that problem too with a model, check the AiS log and if there's an error at the end it can't convert it. At least I gave op trying it 'cause I couldn't find a solution, just used another similar model that AiS did convert
Got a little question here, I just recently started vertex modding thanks to some thread around here, using MK64n's method if I'm not wrong. So I started on something, making myself for brawl to be exact, and modified a .pac with MK64n's method. I was all done and stuff, but then remembered the .pac came with a .pcs.. What's the difference between those two and do I need to mod both for it to take effect in-game? Modding Link and Toon Link if that's of some use 'cause I've read that the shapeshifting characters need both of them to work.
Just noticed that I already had the .txt in my root, started Brawl, noticed that my camera could flip all the way :/ So I figured it loaded the code. Found out I made a typo in one of the maps within private, that's why it didn't load the hacks >.< Stupid me Well, thanks for the help anyway and I don't quite feel like replacing the music nor the CSP's and if I wanna change the CSP's I'll use wii scrubber (; CFG USB Loader still says that my code has too many lines but hey, it loads so I don't quite care C:
Thanks for the quick response and this thread can be locked (:
