Not exactly sure if this will help; and I haven't tried it with MK yet.  BUT this is the strategy I used to give my dual wielding link ganon's sword.

Create a new bone on MK.  Open snake's fitsnake.pac and eport the grenade model and its texture somewhere.  Go back to MK and create a new object and attatch it to the bone you made.  Replace that object with Snake's grenade and put the texture in the texture area.

You will have to go to the object and manually tell it where to load the texture from and what bone it is linked to.  Also you will have to link your new created bone to some other bone (or just use the throw bone).

when you load the character you will see the grenade constantly.  Its a pain in the butt but you will need to go the the grenade bone and set its x, y, and z scale to 0 in EVERY animation (yeah, all of em).

Next you will need to create an animation for when he throws the grenade.  The x, y, z scale will be set back to 1 on this animation.

2 things to note:  1.  the grenades will NOT deal any damage on their own (they aren't snakes grenades, they just LOOK like them).  You will need to manually put in damage with PSA (on the proper bone of course).  2.  They will not behave like snake's grenades.  they will go only where you move the bone to (and will move with the character if you don't set the scales back to 0 after the animation).

I know this isn't exaclty what you are looking for but if you want MK to have grenades then this is the only way I know how to do it.  ^.^

There is a mod called Endgame Samus.  In this mod Samus' missiles and charge attack freeze when they hit.  I can't seem to find Akaito (the creator of the mod; says Unable to find member 'akaito'. when I try to PM him).

I love the mod but everyone hates me for using it (the freezing mainly).  I looked at Samus in Brawlbox and PSA and can't seem to find where her attack data for her weapons is located.  I've looked several times and am not just looking for a handout or someone to do the work for me (I like trial and error, and hands on 'do it yourself' stuff, but I have other things I am working on and want to just get rid of the freezing and move on).

Can anyone tell me where or how to find what needs to be changed in order to get rid of the freezing?

Rainbow Dash's sword trail:

I loaded Rainbow's sword trail in photoshop and rotated it 90 degrees clockwise and then put it back on her.

In game this makes an actual rainbow sword trail that is much more accurate.  I don't mean to criticize;  I'm just trying to help.

Also I think you should maybe generate a constant sword trail coming from her tail during her run animations.  That way when she is running / flying she will always have a rainbow following her.

I'm not really too good at this stuff.  I know I've made a few things but honestly it was all a bunch of trial and error and took a lot of time.  I'll suggest more in the future if I can.

I didn't exactly 'Fix' it per say.  I downloaded a new Fitlink.pac and redid my mods to it and now it works just fine.  Maybe I corrupted my file before or maybe accidentally deleted/changed something I wasn't supposed to.

The invisible sheath and the floating sword are still there but I'll just get rid of them ^.^

Thanks for the help.  As soon as its done (or maybe in a Beta stage) I'll post it;  I think you will like it.

Problem 2 should be solveable by removing the handle of the second sword in bbox.

^.^ I Figured that was the case.  Using the 'model changer' line to remove the sheath does not work.  If I hex it out then he wont have the sheathed handle at all.... XD I was going to have him use it but I'll just get rid of it.

Problem 3 sounds like animation issues. You have any statements that say the animation has to end?

Ok this one:  Technically I have not inserted any statements that say the animation has to end.  HOWEVER:  I have only changed his animations in the FitLinkMotionEtc file and in the animations that are giving me trouble I have only changed the angle he holds his sword at (i'm pretty sure thats all);  I have not changed the original info in the FitLink.pac file so in theory there is already info there telling him to end that animation (am I wrong? do I have to put it in manually?)

I am working on a PSA for Link (a good one) but I am having three problems.

The first one is minor:  Link's sheath disappears in most of his animations.  It is present in his item holding poses and a few others but most of the time it is gone.  I may just do away with sheath all together.

Second:  Link's sword is sheathed while he is still holding it.  I have not inserted the 'model changer' line into PSA nor have I messed with his sword handle.  For some reason it is sheathed at all times (and if you stack this with problem one its a sword handle that just floats behind him in an invisible sheath).  Again minor problem;  if I do away with sheath I'll do away with this too.

BIG PROBLEM:  Recovery (landing) animations are freezing him.  If you are in the air and you use a regular attack (not one of his special moves;  just pressing A) AND the animation is still playing through when he hits the ground he will just stand still and be uncontrollable until he gets hit.  I need help with this bad, I have spent so much time with this problem that the PSA has come to a halt.

[Example of problem 3:  I jump and while in the air use links Down-A attack... after he lands he stands up and wont move until he takes damage or is grappled].  Please help, thank you in advance;  this PSA and moveset are so fun to use but the freezing has made it unplayable.

Its great that you were able to get prinny over the turnip.  I am beyond words that this might actually work ^.^

Since I STILL don't know how to edit hitboxes the only thing I can work on is character animations.  To be honest, I haven't done much of that lately (for a good reason... see below).

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh called me and they want me to take their online Video Game Graphic Design classes Cheesy and I've been filling out paperwork nonstop the past week and a half so I haven't gotten any work done, or even so much as opened brawlbox, since my last post.

Seeing this post have no responses I assumed it was dead.... but NO.... just technical difficulties ^.^

So, I'll pick this right back up where I left off...... T.T please see previous posts.... I need to know how to edit hitboxes if someone will oblige (I THINK you can do it in brawlbox.... I just can't figure it out).  Knowing my luck its probably something extremely simple that I'm just not seeing.

*low whisper* I didn't know how to change model animations for the longest time AFTER I successfully opened the animations editor *smacks forehead*

Ok /rant and thnx again so much for the turnip / prinny edit..... I might want to give that a test if you'd be so kind as to email it to me.

Found a little time to do some work, One thing though:

create a new line in wait1 click nop after generating a new line click "generate article" and put the article id for it

I'm having a bit of trouble finding Peach's article ID's.  There are some tutorials for this out there, but there all a little complicated.  I've tried looking at myself but can't seem to find where the article ID's are.

I was wondering if anyone knows the article ID's for Peach's 3 weapons.

Also, if I add the article to Peach's Wait1 animation will I also have to add it to her other Wait animations (Peach seems to have 5 wait animations.... maybe I'm wrong, but seems that way).  I am under the assumption that if I modify her Wait1 animation and she idle's into her Wait2 animation the item (article) will not be visible during that animation.  Am I correct or do I only need to modify her Wait1 animation?

Well, obviously, seeing that you responded. Hope your okay. :3

Yes I'm fine... I'm in Oklahoma and we have so many of them here we were just like "Oh... another one...." XD

As usual, it missed everything in my area.  My new roommate's mother freaked out and called and MADE us come over to her house for safety.  I sighed and played along.

Anyways, A prinny model actually HAS been made over metaknight. I'll port that over peach's turnup, and I think my friend should be able to edit them so they will explode on cantact, since technically they are an item.

Right after I posted I looked up to see if someone made a prinny already and found the one your referring to.  At this point it seems like we have sort of a 'mini project' going so if anything gets done we will need the creators permission to actually use it.  I think its fine to download it and just see if its possible or not.

As far as making it explode, if you could get them to do that that would be great (also it would be nice if she could generate them in the air and not just on the ground).  Also thinking about changing her neutral-b to something else.... though I'm not sure what (Etna holding a prinny out in front of an oncoming attack certain isn't against her personality... but I'd like it to be a little less Peach and a little more Etna XD ).

Like I said it'll be a day or two before I can work on Peach's movements (and I still can't figure out how to edit hitboxes in brawlbox).  I might even play Disgaea again to re-familiarize myself with Etnas moves.

Unfortunately, due to the tornado last night, I wasn't able to do any work on try anything involving this, and it will probably be Monday before I'll get time to do it (misc personal errands I have to run over the weekend).

As for the turnips.  Basically I want them to explode (similar to links bombs but with a little more kick) and I want them to look like Prinnies.

Prinnies are small penguine-like creatures that house the souls of reincarnated criminals that have been given the chance to work off the sins they committed in life.  Etna is very mean and cruel (in a funny, your my peons, kind of way) to the prinnies.  You see... thing is... when a prinny is thrown, tossed around, or handled violently in general..... it explodes.  Oh, and for some reason, they say "Dood" (pronounced Dude) at the begginning and end of most sentences (similar to how cat-girls in anime would use "nya" for example).

So when all is said and done:  Down-B will be able to be used while in air or on the ground.  The plucking sound that is played when she generates a turnip will be replaced with "Dood".  Turnips will look like Prinnies (still trying to find a model for that) and they will explode when the connect with a solid surface (Possibly with random explosive strength?? Like her turnips damage is random).

And I just like the Disgaea games in general (and Etna appears, one way or another, in all of them... so its not hard to find info on her ^.^ ).

Also, if you couldn't record the sound effects from the Anime or the Mugen character, you could possibly make the sound effects yourself. :3

As to this XD once again I don't know how... BUT apparently I am a very fast learner x.x with hardly any experience in Brawlbox at all I combined two stages together.... and its awesome (but that would be for a new topic entirely, I wont bother with it here).  Now this could also be because the maker of Brawlbox has made it very easy to use;  something I am VERY grateful for... so maybe its just that XD

So I'll see what I can do.

go to the psa help thread or search "article" in the search find peach and create a new line in wait1 click nop after generating a new line click "generate article" and put the article id for it... it will just be the article, not actually funtioning but you could edit the hit boxes to make it funtion Cheesy there you go you got peach with the tennis racket, or any other character with their respective articles

I'll give this a shot; um.... how do I edit hitboxes though?  I've heard you can do it in brawlbox but no matter how much I play around with it I can't find the hitbox editor.

First of all THANK YOU so much for your help ^.^ knowing how to do he floating spear and turnip swap would help out a lot.

Second Etna is a demon from the game Disgaea.  She is vassal to the overlord Laharl (the young son of the recently 'deceased' Overlord Krichevskoy).  In her game she had her memories stolen and is being blackmailed into assassinating Laharl to get them back.  She is sarcastic and can be hateful and although quite skilled in combat she is very manipulative and is trying to steal the title of overlord for herself.

Her primary combat style is using a spear to hit opponents at a distance and special attacks that hit an area (though area specials are pretty common in disgaea hers are rather unique).

I wont say more, don't want to ruin it for people that haven't played.  XD Google has more info if you want it XD

P.S.  Disgaea has a counter system where you auto attack those who attack you (although you only get a certain number of counters per turn per character).  I don't know if I would actually use this in game since there are already 2 characters that can counter.... but just for reference would it be possible to give her a counter move? ( XD and she would say "Punk" when she counters XD........ >.> its from the game).

XD quite honestly I would like to make my own Etna moveset.

I know there is a texture for her here, and I am pretty sure someone may already be working on one but when I look around the forums..... MONTHS have passed since any word on the subject was spoken.

I was really sceptical about posting what I was working on for several reasons:
     1.  The "Do you have permission?" reporters.... uh..no...not to use any textures.... but I can mod Peach to move like Etna and post it without any textures and let other users download an Etna on their own (P.S. I DO plan on asking for permission to use the Etna texture IF I get far enough along in my project).

     2.  I don't know much about PSA at all... and my requests asking how to do things in PSA have yeilded few results (and I'm better hands on so the tutorials are kinda hard to use XD ).  Because of this I am DREADFULLY slow at anything in PSA and I didn't want to promise anything and then months go by and... well I don't have much done.

     3.  Finally I have only figured out how to edit movements and nothing else.  Sadly I will not be able to make any of her actual attacks from the games... thus in making this I'll actually be needing more help than the work actually done myself.  So it was just going to be some minor edits until I learn more.

     Ok, with all that said this is what I actually want to do:
A.  Etna will primarily be based off of a M.U.G.E.N. version of Etna I really enjoy.
B.  I want her Spear (well since I'm modding "Peach" I cant say spear... lets just say her racket or something) to float behind her (but Im not against her holding it) and she will reach back and grab it when she attacks... this is why I need to know how to edit hitboxes and make her hold the spear constantly.
C.  I want her forward smash to be a 3 hit combo where she thrusts her Spear (peach's racket or whatever) low, high, then midle
D.  I want to replace her turnips with Bob-Ombs and remake bob-ombs to be Prinnies
D -2.  When peach pulls up a turnip I want to replace that sound effect with "Dood"... also I want her to be able to summon turnips (prinnies) while in the air as well x.x
E.  Change taunts / wait animations to better suit etna

I have the Disgaea anime in english on my computer and plan to use voice clips directly from the anime for her voice and SFX ( XD If I can figure out how).

Ok, so with not much sleep, and it being midnight... that's about what I can remember off the top of my head... there's more, but I think you get the general gist (or is it spelled jist?) at this point ^.^
