First off, just add the Edit Poly modifier by clicking the modifier dropdown button. Then right click and paste the skin. Simple. And I've said this way too many times already, it doesn't matter where the model came from as long as you can see it in 3ds Max. And what do you mean about installing the plugin
The plug-in allows export of Autodesk DAEs rather than regular DAEs. In your videos, you exported your girl models in Autodesk Collada DAE format, not the regular one. The regular one has a very limited export options while the Autodesk Collada's DAE has a very large choice of export options. I thought this was 100% needed, so I installed it. So, this means after the skin is pasted, I put my textures on, and it's done?
2 - I click one of the 2 meshes then look at the right
3 - I right-click on 'Skin', copy it then set to 'Edit Poly'
4 - I turn off the skin by turning off the lightbulb
5 - I run the program that separates meshes....but the 'Editable Poly' section never appears!
My model can already be separated and is NOT a MikuMikuDance file, so the 1st two things from the tutorial are ignored. Also, my models loses their textures when the FBX plug-in is installed :/... Can anyone help?
Because of strangers...I recently received flaming personal messages right here on KcMM forums, and one was in duplicate and written in all CAPS LOCK. I simply deleted them but I'm very limited in what I can do in forums. In other words, the reason is : protection.
My pal created one for me once with MY email, but she got caught and we both got scolded... But nevermind, I've found a software that creates streaming videos, so I'm gonna use that.
Someone suggested me "Why don,t you record yourself doing the whole tutorial so people and BJ can see if there's anything wrong in your processus?" I thought that was a good idea, but I'm not allowed to create a YouTube account, so the video would have to be downloaded in order to be viewed. What do you people think? Would that help me correct my mistakes?
Here, I have two 3ds MAX windows open, one with my Guitar of Waves, and the other contains a Beam Sword. I erased the polygons of the beam sword, leaving only the skeleton. I then copied my boneless Guitar of Waves on the window which have the beam sword's bones. Now, the thing I must I must do is to fuse them both...but I don't know how... It should be simple, it's not a character's bones but an item's, and I thought it would be funny to hit an enemy with a big fish's skeleton. Anyone has an idea how I could fuse the BeamSword's bones with the Guitar of Waves texture?
(Well, except for DAEs I converted from other models. They have texture problems in BrawlBox).
Then, could you check these? http://www.mediafire.com/?z9d6ygilm1hat4d They are the ones I worked so hard to make, but ended wating my time since I cannot view them in BrawlBox... If you can see them, could you please export them as MDL0s and sent them to me via PM? And I was wondeing...Must I download every BrawlBox plug-ins to see everything correctly?
I'm on my cousin's PC, and even with the newest BrawlBox, I can't see anything I don't get it... it isn't the Windows versions that affect BrawlBox, but something I don't know... I mean, even textures from other Wii games are unseeable in my Brawlbox...
I think I've figured out the problem of my BrawlBox ; for some reason, it doesn't accept any models that aren't from Brawl. I downloaded and tried various DAEs from Wii games, like Super Mario Galaxy or Mario Kart Wii, still NOTHING in the Model viewer. I then took a Gerudo Guard and a Dodongo from the N64 Zelda games, nothing, but I was able to extract something called a "Guitar of Waves" that is actually FISH BONES. I was like 'LOL WTF!? They DARE call this an instrument???' but maybe I'm gonna use those fish bones over the Beam Sword, who knows where they came from...
How do you export an MDL0 from a texture and why does your model only have 1 texture
Whoops! Wrong link. http://www.mediafire.com/?saqgfjcff7l6w19 THIS is the correct one. Containing both a DAE and an OBJ, the textures are included within those. I can't seem to be able to put the textures on the OBJ, which has no skeleton. THE DAE has the skeleton from the game Dissidia Duodecim on the PSP, and is the one I was working on.
...I think I'll clean up things in my MediaFire account
If it's a stage, then just import it with no bones. If it's a character and you want to be able to play as it, you have to rig the model to a skeleton.
Hmmm. how I do that? I wish to give my textures skeletons of Zelda and Sheik, but I don't know how...
Notice, only Tokoyami and NZM are having problems. You see where I'm going with this statement?
I requested that someone checks the problems on my DAEs, and they say they can see it in BrawlBox, so they sent it back to me, but when I opened those files, I saw nothing but the big fat boneless blank!!! I somewhat feels discouraged...
BJ, these models (http://www.mediafire.com/?kxjxht57af3mdc4) are the ones who were given to me, and are the ones supposed to work in BrawlBox. Are they visible in your BrawlBox? Not in mine... Do BrawlBox need any plug-ins to correctly see textures? Someone just told me that. AND I've successfully exported MDL0s out of my ''Blank textures". It it unusual?
Rumors goes on that you've used an upgraded BrawlBox in your tutorial that, supposedly only you and Pikazz have, some says it's the finished one with the importer/exporter! Is it true or a mere rumor somebody told me?
