I've heard a rumor that people can convert OBJs into MDL0s by hex editing. Is this rumor true? If yes, then is there a tutorial anywhere?

Hi, I have a big pack of MMD characters that I wish to use some on Brawl, but I can't seem to find a converter for those files. Does anyone know of a converter for those files? BrawlBox is useless for conversion, so unless there's a converter, chances are slim that I would be able to use MMD models in Brawl...wait, BlackJax did it with Flandre, so how can I do it?

Hi! I've exported a Pokemon Trainer over Snake, but when I load him, I get a strange, twisted out texture with a bone stuck to the ground. Here's a screencap of the twisted texture :


Stretchy, eh? Thanks to a FitSnake.PAC, he no longer crashes the game. But I do have one question to ask. what should I do to fix him? Should I give him Snake's vertices? I tried giving him the bones before, but that had to be done manually, and when I saved, the texture was far worse than before. Wasted 30 minutes for nothing. Does someone know how to fix this?

I finally got to upload SSBB Models successfully into 3ds Max. But the thing is that none of the models I import have bones. I need Zelda, Snake, Sheik and R.O.B, but they do not have any bones, but do have their textures and models. Can someone create separate .3ds files with Sheik's, Snake's, Zelda's and R.O.B's models that contain their bones?

Damn 3ds Max. Damn Blender. None of the programs allow me to view and edit SSBB models in my laptop, and I've been searching on Google for 3 hours for a Vertex editor with no success So, what I'd like to request is a software that can edit vertices from basically any 3D file (especially DAE and MDL0s) so I can create my own robot with that. BrawlBox doesn't allow editing of vertices. And don't link me to a tutorial, 'cause I tried and there was NOTHING in 3ds Max. Does anyone here knows a good tool for editing vertices other than Blender or 3ds Max?

I have a request that someone might be interested to answer, and that would be importing a GameCube model. I've seen lots of 'GameCube imports' in the Vault,, and I was wondering what should I do to use GC imports in Brawl and have them working in Brawl. Can anyone answer this? Thanks.

EDIT : I have a DAE of a character, but he has no bones and wherever I give him bones then open-up BrawlBox, it crashes. Must I directly rip the MDL0 from the GameCube game?

I'm currently working on a project that involves a GameCube model to replace a Brawl model. For this project, I chose a random character, and it is Wes. For those who don't know him, here's a picture :

What I did was to make a T-Posed model, just like below to make creating bones easier ;

and then, I need to fuse the bones to the model, otherwise BrawlBox won't accept it (error message pops-up). If anybody knows how to rig/fuse the bones with the Model, please post-it here, as I dunno how to do it. He's gonna be over Snake (NOT Pokemon Trainer, there's enough custom Trainers out there) and would come with a nice Ocarina code ; throw Poké Balls rather than grenades! I can give the Ocarina code right away, for those who wanna test it.

Well, I've created a homebrew model in 3ds Max from scratch (and I'm SO Proud of myself) but it has no bones at all. Since it's a robot,  it would go over R.O.B, but first, I must give my creation a basic skeleton that can move. My Robot is a DAE file and needs a skeleton. Do someone knows how I could create a skeleton (bones) for my robot?

Each time I right-click on "AnimationData" in BrawlBox (this example is FitZeldaMotionEtc.pac), there's an "Edit all" tag. In it is a small square which you can check and is written something like : 'Port all animations'. So I click it, and they ask me the MDL0 I want the animations to be ported to. So I choose a MDL0 of any Brawl character (ZSS for the example) that is NOT Zelda's. Then, they ask me for Zelda's MDL0 (the model which the animations originally worked for), so I choose my Zelda model. After 5 seconds of loading, BrawlBox comes back to normal. But when I opened my ZSS model, I couldn't find an 'animation' folder! But will the animations of Zelda that I ported earlier will work if I replace the older ZSS models by my new one?

I just wanted to know if it is possible to take a Brawl character's skeleton, then fuse it with a model so the model would have a skeleton of the chosen Brawl Character. 2 of the 5 models I'm creating already have a skeleton of their own games, but I was wondering ; how to erase the original skeleton and put a Brawl character skeleton instead, if possible? Thank you. (example : Zero Suit Samus' bones over FF7's Tifa Lockhart)

In my despair of finding a way to disable the TransN Glitch from a character port, I'm trying to find a way to disable that damn glitch. I tried using Taboo, but the bones' names weren't showing, so I couldn't do a thing at all... Sheik has 2 bones in the TopN section of the model's bones, Zelda has 3, so I added one bone to Sheik. Now, both character's TransN bones are in the 3rd position, which is needed to correctly remove the glitch. But wherever I try porting a Zelda model in a FitSheikXX.pcs file, the new model over Sheik has the TransN glitch, and I wish to know A WORKING WAY to remove it. Thanks.

I've got a small problem on my own. I was trying to do ModelSwapping, but when I play, the character moves oddly. She has what we call the 'Running Glitch'. One example is that she walks a few steps, then ''teleport'' back where she was before walking or she can even ''teleport'' into a pit, making the player lose a life. (in Stock matches). Those 2 things are examples of the Running Glitch. The jumping is 100% OK as well as the swimming, and when a CPU gets the ModelSwap, they only move by jumping, never by walking.  Does anyone knows how to fix that annoying glitch? WackaAlpha's videos doesn't even explain about that kind of glitch, and I can't seem to find the solution anywhere, so can someone help me?

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem as me... I followed BJ's tutorial on DAE to MDL0 conversion, but even after everything, when I export it as an Autodesk DAE, I don't see ANYTHING in BrawlBox's model viewer. Does anyone knows why, or have the same problems as me?

I was told that in order to get non-Brawl characters moving in the near-completed BrawlBox, I must give them a skeleton of a Brawl character of my choice. However, how do I rip a Brawl character's skeleton? Does anyone here knows how? Thanks.

I already have all my CSP created, but I am looking for a software in which I can upload my CSP over the original ones, and save the file as a common_5.pac, as I don't know how to do it via BrawlBox as I need another file, and the place where this file should be put is unknown to me... Does anyone knows about a software that can create menus with my own CSP?
