Old rig with detached claws a messy butt/tail and legs. I wanted to show the animated eyes and shell. Reminds me to move the eye texture around to fix this.
Good News and Bad News. Good News, I'm getting a better sense of rigging Bowser, and the bad news is that I'm restarting his rig. I'm done with doing rush rigs and want this to be as great as possible. That and tail and legs decided to fight for supremacy, so I'm chopping up into large chunks to avoid that and also trying to avoid model separation.
Thanks, I'll try and hmm, Kyouma, your hacks are filled with anime characters nice.
Btw, anyone else getting any texture glitches from importing models to Brawlbox v.69-v.71? could be that pallete thing or not. The texture for my Charizard were CMPR yet on certain stages he is messed up. Oddly enough it is fine in some stages like Poke Stadium 2
Finished....but alas. the infamous C18 is causing me problems. CMPR loses transparency and other other options are too great of a size difference that clearly surpasses the size limit. HALP!
Amazing how far Taiko has come, I mean, from basic recolors and themed characters for team projects to now developing his own style of renders. Other than that, SJS was known to be pretty successful with his renders and now he's not alone. Together, Shun and Taiko built this project, and I can honestly see this going somewhere. I'm backed behind this 100%.
That is an interesting idea, course that would require bone edits to avoid it looking more sloppy than it is now...okay let me rephrase that only the straps look a little sloppy, but I could get that to work, yah and have it shoot water out of the thing. Actually I'd rather save that for a tiny PSA and like port Luigi over Mario again for it so I could have better animations for Mario and have the Poltergust always out. Post Merge: December 30, 2013, 11:41:48 PMA little teaser since I realized that I missed a hole in the rig and have to fix the rig, then go through the horrible process of adding in 15 to 20 more materials because I don't want to remap and plus they're small textures so file size isn't an issue, which takes like 20 to 30 minutes. Incase you're wondering where the hole is.
Yah he ripped his pants. Also purposely no hurt face and has no FS eyes to reflect on how this model was an unused WIP model. Still has metals though don't worry, also the eye texture is named "Face Eyes" so if you're using my little edit to the Mario animations to give SM64 Mario blinking eyes, it doesn't give Unused Mario blank textures during those parts. I could make blinking eyes but I won't as another way to reflect it's an unused and unfinished model. I say unfinished because really the only differences between this and the real Mario is that he has Luigi's gloves, bigger textures, only one eye texture while the real Mario has multiple eyes, and has the straps for the Poltergust. I actually added in the Poltergust since I knew that's what the straps were for. My guess is that if he was to be playable in the final version, his textures and model would reflect Luigi's a bit more.
This may or may not be my New Years hack, depending on when The King is finished.
Still a lot of work to do with normals and then resizing/vertexing and then rigging and testing, but I have two theories about this model.
Unused Mario (Luigi's Mansion), meaning that this model is still in the game. 1. Mario was going to be playable at some point in development of Luigi's Mansion. 2. Mario was going to have the Poltergust 3000 on his back while he was trapped in a painting and after being rescued. I'm leaning more towards the second theory due to how Mario's textures are more so his that will be used throughout most Mario games and his model is structured differently than Luigi's, unless Luigi's textures and model were made the same way back in whatever point of development this model was being made. I also have Bowser and Mario which I'll import at some point. I'm doing this model while I wait for Iwvi to tell me if he's made any progress on The King's poncho or not. Yah at some point I'll work more on Luigi, I'm toying with whether or not to continue with the multiple versions I wanted to do since it'd be so much work. Also he has a third eyebrow? O_o
Normals... DJLowgey always spoke about them when having an MKWii rig to have the ref of in game characters. I have no idea on how to go about editing normals, are you willing to help? Also, how do you make such good Bowser rigs like Galaxy? My Mecha....well his shell is the largest problem and I don't even want to speak about Haxorus and Krookodile. Well, I lean towards the third option that Mario was going to be playable, but to make sense of the story, he was trapped before hand into the painting meaning he met with Professor E. before Luigi. Now, that could have been the Beta story
