Much better, I personally like the Charizard at the bottom the most.

Individual breakdowns:
Bowser: Overall looks really bright, like the shadows might need to be darker.

Skullzard:
It looks to me like the light should be coming from more to the center, rather than far to the right. It gives it this weird divide, but if that's what you were going for I wouldn't change it.

Charizard:
Like I've already said, I like this one the most. My only suggestion would maybe be to add more highlights, but that's about it I think.

It's looking better! There are a few highlights that look out of place though, like the one on his leg right under his coat and his stache right under his nose. Other than that, they look a bit hard which makes them still look a bit embossed, so maybe try blurring them. Other than that, it's looking good!


More tests, for opinion sake to see am I getting the hang of this.

The slight edits to brightness and color look great, but as Segtendo said, I wouldn't add an emboss. If you're going for a rim effect, I would try painting on the rim for better results, or if you're feeling lazy, start with an inner glow.

I haven't actually posted something up here in a long time, have I? I'll have to do something about that soon, then.

Those look really great for a first try. The main thing I would suggest would be better lighting, at the moment it looks like it's coming from under him, giving him a sort of "horror-movie" look. The light above him hitting the center of his face would probably be a good place to put it.

Other than that, you can try painting some highlights and shadows onto it, to give it more depth. I don't know how it is in GIMP. but if you use Photoshop, I like to set the layer blending mode to Soft Light, then painting in white to add highlights, and black to add shadows. They'll likely be too intense at first, so drop the opacity down to tone them down. Other than that, lots of practice will make you better for sure!

You have a few hacks so your name isn't very known. I'm sure that once you start with being the dirst to do things like White Mage and other Sports Mixed people, you'll be known. You don't reall just need a theme, but give it a chance and see.

Just saw the Pokemon Movie 16... not impressed. Anyway, I'm sure we think caped Mewtwo would be a nice touch, but we know what we're waiting for. Mega Charizard X. Yeaaaah, that's right. I'm in no rush to see him, but I can honestly say that it may even be more popular than Mega Lucario.

I would have totally forgoten about this

 i started rigging a sports mixed daisy and i rigged the hips to the hip bone and that made it more better but her butt is a bit blocky so you can do that if you want to

and the arms just make sure you blend the elbow right
     But this is just some of the stuff i do

I'm just doing the people from the sports mix well not all.... like white mage she suprisingly fits really well  like magic or sumthin that was joke anyway...

Hah! XD. I played through about 90% of FF:III for Android, so I get the joke. Finally someone has been doing an ACTUAL White Mage import. I didn't want to do it yet until I get better at rigging humans over human bones. Anyway, you have experience with that so I shall await for the release. I'm soooooo using her. She's over Zelda? Hopefully.

The gun shot was added on with Gimp, but if you look closely, you'll see that the DD44 is acting like it did fire something, just another one of the tiny details I'm putting into these models. Wink Course it is a little hard to tell from this angle. Tongue
Mouth is rigged so I can get a bit more emotion from him, and the cap is rigged too so it can come off in some of the scenes. He has Mario's body for the lols, I mean he's a fat turtle and yet can fit inside clothes for Mario. xD
He also has the tie and shirt, but...his head is kinda in the way. Im srs here
