thats only half true, its actually hard coded into the GCT. seems that some codes went missing or went corrupt when i made the last GCT, ghostwolf was the first to notice it when he was looking thru it. L canceling wos one for the codes missing. There is a new patch coming soon that will resolve all the issues we currently have.  just waiting on PyotrLuzhin to finish the last tweaks.

Ah, I see. I was simply speaking off experience of when I ported Shadow over Olimar back in Project M 3.0 where I had to modify the .rel file so that Shadow could L-Cancel.

This is really sweet. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or something that I have to modify myself, but all the BrawlEX characters can't L Cancel, or have a really small L Cancel window. If I boot up regular Project M and play Mewtwo and Roy, I can SHFFL with ease. But when I launch Project M DIY with Mewtwo and Roy, it's really hard to SHFFL.

Is there anyway to fix this? My friends and I can't stand BrawlEX characters since we can't L Cancel with them.

Thanks.

Well, the data for L-Canceling is controlled in the module files for the characters. You would have to make edits to the Brawl-EX modules themselves in order to make L-Canceling work with them. Maybe that's something that's being worked on too here but I cannot be sure.
3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: August 12, 2015, 08:48:15 PM
Hey guys, sorry for the long delay, stuff popped up, some completely out of left field. Anyway, I have the rest of the week as free time, so I should be able to pop some stuff out finally! Anyway, for the models I have already ripped, I need to do some UV fixing before I upload any of it. For now, I did an extremely simple import, but not really. It's Palgaea's Shrine which I said I would work on, but also said I would only bring into Brawlbox. I'll post the link here to the .PAC file and let anyone who wants it take it over. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fssmmzndsp8vlc0/Palgaea%20Shrine%20WIP.pac?dl=0

Now for the question answering, here goes.

@omegafalcon Sorry, I don't have any of those games you listed above, but the good news is I am going to play through Pokemon Coeum and Gale of Darkness again, so it'll be quite easy for me to rip any stages I find interesting. And I do suppose I can rip the Poke Floats models, although I would probably hand it off to somebody else. Sorry, I don't have the gamecube version of Deception, but maybe I can rip it from the PS2 version (possibly not though).

@R̢i҉̴̛͜d̷̕҉̴l̨̧͠͡e͘͜͠y̴̶͡͠͞   I can rip both, I honestly should have ripped the vertical shaft, but didn't think anyone would want to bother with it honestly.

@E-scope12 Here's another case of me not having the Gamecube version, once again I'll have to see if the PS2 version could be ripped from (are there any differences between the 2 versions?)

@Ricky D. (Br3) I'm not even sure if I can rip backgrounds honestly, of course I'll try. I loved the background in Melee's Final Destination.

Heya guys, version 1 of Mushroom Kingdom Adventure has been posted to the vault. Unfortunately, no pictures this time around. The actual entry just has the older picture uploaded.

Anyway, it's more of a test run for you guys. To get a taste of the Final version (it pretty much is final anyway, just needs a couple of fixes here and there. Here's the link in the unlikely case that my entry is bumped down to the bottom overnight, http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=209209

Enjoy Wink

Another update on Mushroom Kingdom, and the last one it will be for a while for that stage since I feel like on working on a stage that wasn't originally a smash stage right now. I updated the lighting (still not exact though) and modified the water to look closer to the original look. I also fixed the issue of Peach's castle and the flagpole not showing in the background. The download link was already posted, it's the original download.

Here's a video to accompany it!

Next stage I'll be working on is Palgaea Shrine. Look forward to it!

5  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: July 29, 2015, 05:04:55 PM
Here for an update on Mushroom Kingdom. Made the collisions fit the stage correctly and also imported assets from Mewtwo2000's Peach's Castle. Just need to fix the lighting and the lack of Peach's castle in the background which shouldn't be all that difficult.

Also, here's a list of stages I plan on making as of now (the order I list it in isn't related to priority)
- Mushroom Kingdom Adventure (The one I'm Currently working on)
- King Bulblax's Arena
- Palgaea Shrine (May not finish, probably going to pass this one down to someone else once imported)
- Kongo Jungle (This is just going to be a fix as requested)
- Not a stage but considering the ease of it: Soul Calibur 2 Weapons (Likely not all of them)

That's on my list for now. I'll be continuing to add to it as I complete more stages.

I'm probably going to post it to the OP also. Don't be afraid to request stages still. I may not be able to do it but I will be able to rip it and I'm sure any other stage modders with interests in it will pick it up.

I'll begin to upload any of the models I uploaded so far onto models-resource on Friday.

@PseudoTypical Sure I can rip some items. Not sure how the Beam Sword will turn out from a straight rip though.

EDIT: Just noticed that they're messed up UVW maps here. Don't know how I didn't notice while working on it. Not too much of a problem, it just means I'll have to redo the materials again   Embarrassed

You know, that suggestion about the models resource just might be a better alternative to just uploading it directly normally for those who want the models. Don't know why I never thought of that, considering that's where I get models most of the time.

@Nebulon Don't worry about it man. I wouldn't mind at least attempting it. It's not a request thread for no reason.

Just a quick test

8  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: July 26, 2015, 06:31:43 PM
Haha, it seems you misunderstood. I was under the impression you wanted the model for yourself. I won't mind making it though, the Pikmin stages currently available for Brawl are incredibly simple. Having more Pikmin-esque elements in a stage seems a good way to make it stand out. Of course, I need to take my time if I'm making the stages. The ones I'm currently focusing on are Adventure Mushroom Kingdom and The Black Knight's battle room from Path of Radiance.

Maybe I should redefine the OP to avoid any confusion honestly.
9  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: July 26, 2015, 06:11:45 PM
There's not a limit per se to how much I can rip or how much you can request. But I am only human so the amount of models or actual stages (yes I am doing some stages myself such as Adventure Mushroom Kingdom) is limited. I also am most active on Thursdays and Fridays cause I have nothing else to do those days so that's when you'll hear from me most.

It's easy to rip the stages themselves, it's the importing into Brawl and making it actually look good part that takes a while. So I'm hoping that people will be around to pick up some of these stages if they want to.

10  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: July 26, 2015, 02:49:16 PM
Alright, I ripped Pangaea Shrine and the Forest of Hope. What model formats do you guys want them in? Also, for the forest of Hope I didn't really remove any of the models so Olimar and any enemies in the area are still there in the pose when I ripped them.

Here's pictures of the stages

@HypnotizeOverdrive Sorry, I lost my copy of Return to Dreamland and never bothered to make a copy of it. I technically can download it, but I'd really prefer not to.
11  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: July 26, 2015, 12:43:35 PM
@Nebulon That's why I said don't be afraid to ask. I actually have Pikmin for the gamecube Grin. Although I should use this moment to bring up the fact that I don't have Pikmin 2. I can rip those parts, I just need either codes or a save at those locations to get to them. It shouldn't too long to rip them honestly... maybe. That last part does sound complicated though, this is primarily for ripping stages not building them, although I would like to maybe take that up as a project in the future.

@PseudoTypical Yeah you can, honestly I don't even know why I posted this topic in the Stages forum and not the model import forum. Guess that's what happens when you post a topic at five in the morning. Do remember that any characters won't be T-Stanced, though considering you're asking for items/weapons you should be alright.

Alright guys, I'm going to get to ripping. Give me a bit.

12  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Gamecube/Wii Stage Ripping (Taking Requests!) on: July 26, 2015, 03:38:08 AM
Hey guys, haven't been active in a while. My old computer died from overheating and so I've been running with a cheap $100 laptop recently. But I've once again gotten my hands on a good laptop and am ready to begin working again! I'm doing this since a while ago I told someone I would rip stages for them and never got the chance to finish so now I'm going to be accepting requests to rip stuff from. Of course, I don't have every game that's available for the systems, so I can't exactly rip everything but don't be afraid to request regardless!

Stages I'm currently ripping:
- Adventure Mushroom Kingdom (SSBM)
- Lylat System Venom (SSBM)
- Underground Maze+Link Battle Platform (SSBM)
- Black Knight Battle Area (Fire Emblem PoR)
- The Lost Heir Battle Map (Fire Emblem RD)
- Shadow Moses Island (MGS TTS)
- Final Battle (Luigi's Mansion)

When you request please tell me your preferred file format. I have 3DS Max 2010 and 2015 so I can save in those formats. Of course, I can also save in any format 3DSMax allows me to (.OBJ, .DAE, .FBX, ect.)

Here's an example of a rip from Luigi's Mansion. It's simply the forested area from the very beginning of the game.
Not going to post that one since it's just that area though.

When requesting please make sure you define exactly what you want. This thread serves a dual purpose, you can request stages you want me to make AND you can request for me to simply rip a stage for your own personal use. Of course, it takes much longer for me to make a stage myself and as such, if you request, please be patient.

EDIT: So, I have stages that I'm going to be working on for now. Requests for Model Rips are still open but for now stage requests are on hold (sort of, still request so I can consider it if you really want a stage in.)

The stages are (from post #18):
- Mushroom Kingdom Adventure (The one I'm Currently working on)
- King Bulblax's Arena
- Palgaea Shrine (May not finish, probably going to pass this one down to someone else once imported)
- Kongo Jungle (This is just going to be a fix as requested)
- Not a stage but considering the ease of it: Soul Calibur 2 Weapons (Likely not all of them)

Can I be one of the testers?
14  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: August 15, 2014, 10:02:18 PM
They do have configs, just take their config file template and remove their name from it so it only has the ID. Then do the edits from there. I did this when I used BrawlEX.
15  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: August 15, 2014, 08:15:38 AM
This may of already been asked but does having BrawlEX conflict with this? When this is used with BrawlEX are there any side effects?

There should be a tutorial for getting a CBliss type of effect using BrawlEX configs. But I do believe this does conflict, maybe. I would recommend just going to the tutorial, it should be in programming tutorials.
