3D Land has , quote "the same graphics as teh Galaxy games", aka using the same models and shaders, New Super Mario Bros 2 actually doesn't use the same models from NSMBW, I just played the sequel and noticed that Mario and Luigi's sideburns have the same detail as they did in Mario Kart 7, which I haven't seen that detail in any other Mario game except the Hi Res Textre Packs for Super Mario 64. The reason why I'm putting the Gold Block on SMG2 Mario is because someone put it on the (not-really-poorly-but-is-no-where-as-good-as-mine) SMG Mario on the Vault. If anything, I'd just have to rip the textures from the 3DS games using the 3DS emulator already on the web, and put them one SMG2 Mario/NPC Luigi, or import the NSMBW fists....once I find free downloads for those files. -_-
I found out that the 3D models are the same from NSMBWii, but the textures are different and better, the 3D models are inferios to SMG, so it's the same from NSMBWii (and the same from the AR Games lol).
SM3DL and NSMB actually uses the same models as NSMBWii for the characters, so i guess it's more aprepriate to use them instead of using SMG/SMG2 models for SM3DL and NSMB2 "imports".
They both have the shading from Galaxy, but this is the effect I want:
After looking closer at this picture, you can actually see the buttons, sideburns and mustache, which I never noticed before when playing on the Wii, so I now have a better idea of what he should look like. After I test out to see if the new shadow model is noticable ingame, I'll work on Cosmic Mario so more. I also noticed that I'll have to edit the shine on Mario a bit more to get the original's effect. And KTH, I did get your PM, what exactly would I need to do? I hope it'd be a quick thing so I can continue on Mario.
You rigged DemoMario model or just retexured normal mario with DemoMario's texures?
Damn these differences between shading in Brawl and Galaxy. With Galaxy shading:
Without Galaxy shading:
Only good side is that I don't have to redo do any rigging with Cosmic Mario, now which do you think I should use?
The one on the left has his polygons inverted, while the one on the right has his polygons normal. Don't worry Bee Mario and Bee Luigi will have their wings, mentioning it because those are seperate models. How do you think I should rig Spring Mario/Luigi when I get to that powerup? I'm not going to just rig the model to one bone, I'm thinking of just rigging the body to the HipN, WaistN, and BustN bones.
Do the one that has normal polygons and use galaxy's shading.
For porwerups, i'd want first Bee Mario of Cloud Mario.
I found out that shaded characters have texture or lightning problems only in the Delfino Plaza Stage, MP9 Mario has, and many others have too like KTH's Wind Waker Toon Link. Thats a problem of the actual Brawl even in the official Delfino Plaza stage, since the official Brawl characters doesn't have any type of shading/shaders. And yes, that happens on the acual/real wii, i'm not sure about Dolphin.
He looks so much better with the shine effect now.
Which Powerup do you want first? Bee Mario Rock Mario Cloud Mario Spring Mario These are mainly the ones I'd have to mess with the 3ds Max scene, while the others like Fire Mario, Beta Mario, and Beta Ice Mario can be done with just BrawlBox. I'm going to see if Cosmic Mario looks better as a retexture, or better with the faces on the model inverted. Post Merge: October 07, 2012, 09:23:55 AMAlso he's going to have his original shadow model too.
Original shadow model? i think i love you.
For porwerups, i'd want first Bee Mario or Cloud Mario.
And i also found this: http://i.imgur.com/pZmYI.png His left arm is sightly moved and his hand is a bit odd. Just pointing the errors, i don't want to blame your great work that i appreciate a lot MarioFan lol .
SMG2 Mario's head had two different textures, the face, and then the hair & ears, whereas MP9 Mario had like five or six different textures for his face.
Ok, I'm very sorry that i molested you and Anivernage a lot. Im going 2 download MP9 Mario and go to bed he's fantastic! im going to bed cuz here in Brazil is already 2:50 AM. Cya MarioFan!
Hey MarioFan, why you're not answering my replies?
About MP9 Mario's Damage Eyebrows, if you incline them a bit to the normal eyebrows position (only abit, not too much) and put them a bit downwards, i guess it should be OK comparated to brawl Mario and to your SMG2 Mario. You didn't answered this.
How you've managed to get SMG2 Mario's head normals to be not blocky and you coudn't did it for MP9 Mario?

But after enough hacks, the names beomes important too because then people can guess on weither or not the hack will be good, crappy, or epic. Like Nanobuds, his hacks usually gets lots of downloads quickly, because he's made so many epic hacks throughout the time he's been here, so when people see his name in a hack, they usaully have a good feeling that it's worth dwonloading. Also I hope that the newer SMG Bowser model won't force you to make too many changes to your aniamtions.

So you will not going to import Brawl Mario's kage, right?
You know (i guess ), ever since i gave you that Models Resource version, i was hoping that you'll take much of your time and hard work on MP9 Mario and make him as good as you're making SMG2 Mario and SMG Bowser.
You'll collab me or at least credit me? (sorry for all that )
