If it would be possible to give beyond the ability to delete comments from his thread, that would work. DSX8 actually makes up most of the spam on his board in off topic conversation, so I don't know...
I have a feeling that I'll regret asking this, and it's probably and out of place question that will cause a fair bit of commotion and I apologize in advance if it does but...
Who are these "undeserved egos" you speak of? Just curious...
I don't like putting people's work down or anything, especially in my own position of little to no content or talent, but there are certain people you'll recognize on the forums that are more proud of what they make than they should be, and the people that don't actually have any work. I wasn't referring to the team, if that's what you thought.
Too bad that it actually did end up as a pressure move for a post count change, in the end.
To sum it up, as of today, I see more "regular users" asking to removepost counts completely. So in the end, no one actually cares about what boards are counted or not for posts. So yeah, at this point, I have a lingering feeling... A feeling that this bloody topic served absolutely NO purpose. All it did was generate a ton of drama, pitted users against each other and against the staff, and created a climate of conflict that's still showing, even 5 monthes after.
Because right now, it just feels like this whole issue was only brought up monthes ago as a way of attacking Family / Forum Games active members. And I'm not even trying to troll when I'm saying that. It's just how it looks like.
Oh sheesh yall, if I recall (read what I wrote months ago) correctly and in polite terms, I seem to remember it was more about the harsh sanction of one of the staff members as well as ignoring quite a lot of regular members saying they liked the idea that got on those nerves.
I also recall making a point to say it was not about post counts numerous times too 0.o
I found a way to recalculate post counts, to reflect the fact that Off-Topic doesn't contribute.
I went to the family thread and had a good laugh.
Sometimes the search brings up a page that says "no results found" but has multiple pages of the same thing. I tested it with a common word and it had many many pages of "no results found". I posted about this awhile ago and haven't tried searching since so I don't remember which board it was on, let me check...
I found my old screenshot but I wasn't able to reproduce it, so maybe it was fixed?
Hohoho mewtwo, I don't keep in touch with this thread as often as I should, but let me tell you this: You have been the most helpful to me of all people. You've taught me so much on stage making, and you're always sharing your knowledge with everyone and even making and releasing tools for us. If there is ANY arrogance, it is so so far below the giant undeserved egos that make up KCMM.
I'm not at all sure how this poll came up, but I can guess, and I think it is important to distinguish wrong accusations out of jealousy, and the truth.
Of course, I know you have no patience to build stages, and you make imports. And, personally, I guess some of your imports are really beautiful. But you've opened the box of non-wii imports, and I guess you're overrating them. Let the model rebuilder come, and then make really beautiful stages. Outset Island is a fine import because of its cell-shaded nature. But stages like Ganon's Castle don't really need to be imported. At least, not yet. There are some stages I want to make, and if you import all of them, time will bring my own versions and you will have wasted your time.
I like N64, I've played N64 a lot. So, expect N64 stages from me. The more you make from there, the higher possibility I make them after a while. And besides some Melee stages if I still make them, I don't guess I'm doing any stage not from a N64 game. At least, not for a long time.
Keep your work on, but just try to care about the final result. That's what makes you a good or bad stager after all.
Also to be noted, there is a WORLD of skill difference between imports and recreating something block by block.
As always, keep up the good work, and remember, it's ok to be mean sometimes.
I really hate playing white knight like this, but come on. http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=32009.msg663632#msg663632 I'm not sure if you noticed, but he edited Miacis's post that he quoted, stating his opinion and was therefore contributing to the discussion, and even didn't technically only consist of emoticons. I will hope and assume you didn't notice that. If that isn't the case, I'm truly disappointed you can't follow your own rules.
