Getting better, the lighting still seems very harsh though. It goes from dark to light too suddenly in many areas, and it may be too dark in some areas too. It becomes especially apparent on the second one.
The flame looks kinda forced and sticks out to me, it looks more like it's made of glass than fire, and the outer glow and darker colours on the second one make it stick out more. You don't need to shade fire, as it tends to make it look more like a solid object.
It looks pretty good! Though, you may want to try adding some yellow to some places. The Melee one was pretty monotone though, so it looks like a huge improvement already!
The King of Evil is here! Sporting a new design for Smash 3, he's ready to Smash!
And we've got a question for everyone. Would you like us to release our PSD files for these textures? This would allow anyone to make edits to the textures as they see fit, and recolours would be extremely simple to make.
Getting there, but the lighting seems very basic. The lighting on his face is good, then gets sorta lost on his body. I would put more highlights on the middle of the shirt, and on the front of the shorts, rather than on the back like they are now. I would also blur them more, so they're less obvious, since I could tell where they were added on right away.
Then that's fine, though you might want to move the lighting so it's less harsh.
Since I made the CSPs for Smash 3 Ness, I thought I may as well go ahead and do a few more textures since I haven't posted anything new in a while. I have terrible timing though, since SJS just released his.
Looking through the Project M version of this, many characters appear to be missing some files. FitLink02 is missing, for example, same with FitLuigi02, FitMario01, FitNess01, and probably a few more. Is that intentional?
These are awesome, btw. Especially Toon Link!
Yes, this is intentional. Project M doesn't support cBliss from our tests, so those texture files are not included.
Like Segtendo said, those are the slots for teams, and since those characters use their default slots instead, they're not included.
It looks good, but since it needs to be cropped you'd lose some parts of his pose. My suggestion would be to rotate the whole pose so his arm goes towards the camera, then rotate his head to face the camera as well. Also, you might want to move the light so that it's a bit closer to the middle of his head too. Which version of BrawlBox are these in?
I don't really like the lighting, it's too sharp and the way it has a light side and dark side makes it very awkward. The light should be coming from in front of his face, slightly to one side, rather than all the way to one side or directly in the middle.
Are these for CSPs? If they are, I'd recommend rotating their bodies to be facing the camera rather than away.
Much better, I personally like the Charizard at the bottom the most.
Individual breakdowns: Bowser: Overall looks really bright, like the shadows might need to be darker.
Skullzard: It looks to me like the light should be coming from more to the center, rather than far to the right. It gives it this weird divide, but if that's what you were going for I wouldn't change it.
Charizard: Like I've already said, I like this one the most. My only suggestion would maybe be to add more highlights, but that's about it I think.
