i was wonderin the same thing    it got quiet for awhile so i asked Phillia if they are gonna post progress here or where and theyre mostly learning on PSA right now, i think. PSA is headache stuff..   Sad    i hope they learn more       ill be the importer of whatever you guys need    i just need the model and stuff     

also, i havent heard from tempesttime. i requested a bunch of Tales models.

more rants on how to fix stuff
the other day i found a way to fix a few shaders but at the cost of some transparency textures to no work properly, at least till i figure that part out. its givin me a headache usin time for this sort of things so for now i stop at knowin how to fix the shaders somewhat for non-transparent dudes

and yuuuup, all faces, FS eyes, morphball, and what not pop in at specific times cuz they are set to a visibility bone. it doesnt even have to be a face, you can, make for example, have Tron Bonne have floating or walkin servbots around with her after she grabs a smashball. all you do is make sure to have it sittin over wherever you want near the model and riged to whatever bones and then when imported in brawlbox, go to the specific part in the MLD0's "object" section and switch the visibility bone to where its needed to. i want to make a cloud import with a moogle moving and floatin around with him when he grabs the smashball     hahah

look at the brawl character .pac you are wonderin about visibility bones to be sure, this is important since some weapons and swords are set to a visibility bone. like how ike's sword is set to a visibility bone to move where ever it needs to go, like when he uses up/B. there are some that use face morphs which i havent looked into at all, like link

also, make sure to fix the shaders, visibility bones, and stuff LAST since the shaders and everythin reset when you import a new .DAE. i thought i broke a import's shaders and materials but find out it reset-ed everytime.

fixed the opening post      shows both released model imports and other stuff

released X today    im workin on other armors for him but first i wanted to release Tidus with everythin fixed up.. finally     he was technicaly the first import i worked on    after that i could also get to work on L'Arc, the first model request exchange on the list

ohhh    so thats what "SS" stood for..


alright this is what i did for transparency.
i layed on my back and thought.. "what the hell is going on??" so then i posted a help thread that didnt get me much closer to a solution. so i went in brawlbox and studied very closely on how character's materials are for the transparent textures and non transparent textures. and found out what was going on. this isnt exactly the best guide but i hope it helps. i can make a more detailed one later

1. export the shader of whichever character you want
2. add a new shader to the MLD0 of yer import in work
3. replace that new shader on that MLD0 with the exported shader
4. go into the material section and "link" the new shader onto all the materials that use transparency
5. in the material, allow transparency is at true and scroll to the very top to the "ALPHA FUNCTION"
6. use these settings..

[ALPHA FUNCTION]
Ref0 - 128
Comp0 - COMPARE_GEQUAL
Logic - ALPHAOP_AND
Ref1 - 255
Comp1 - COMPARE_LEQUAL


7. make sure that texture yer messin with has a ALPHA layer with everythin you dont want erased, like ike's bandana
9. make sure all non-transparent textures set to "allow transparency - false "
8. that should make it transparent, the rest is experimenting with the "Cull Option".

about the Cull Option, i did this a week ago and i forgot which one did what..   this is why i should write this stuff down   x__x    i remember it making it transparent from certain sides, from none, annnnd.. well ill make sure to write it down when i do it later for which cull option did what.

there is others way to do transparency, as you can see after lookin in zero suit samus's model .pac, that make the transparency a lil more smoother and blend niicer which is a lil different when switchin stuff around.

niice     i noticed yer makin alot of ultimate marvel v.s capcom 3 imports. i finaly got my X out today. i didnt know he was gonna be DLC till a week ago. its awesome megaman made his way in the game.. even if its just a alt costume.

niice    the Skyword Sword Zelda looks alot different     she looks scary right now..

about the transparency, one time i spent a whole day lookin at brawl character's textures in brawlbox to see how the settings are and everything to make it transparent properly. i fixed all the transparency problems on this guy

before transparency wouldnt work, would eat at polys and "bleed" over special attack effects and stuff. if ya need help with that part i can teach you what i did

the thing i dont know how to fix is shader issues, like being too dark on some stages. if i dont find a answer in the forums, im gonna spend a day learnin the same way like with textures and hopefully find out the problem

to tell ya the truth, i thought you knew about transparency. i thought you fixed that jacket transparency problem with Wesker

i just wanted to say niice find on those megaman legends 3 models, i had no idea someone could get em especially without the game even being out and all. i was pissed off how they canceled that game..   its good to see a part of it live on.

Overlord, Tidus is pretty much done but waiting on one fix before gettin thrown in the vault.

i see. i did have the name right, i guess he sent me the wrong one. OH so thats the name of "his sword". the one on luke right now is that one i vertexed except its not textured. as for the sword models, i got 2 from him. the cutlass sword and this other sword from him.. its dark blue with a gap in the center. its got white lines on it.. i can use this one too i guess.

i want to make versions with different swords and also fix it so both the sword in his hand and on his butt get sheathed and unsheathed when it should. i just havent got around to do it with all these thanksgiving week distractions.

i havent tryed gettin anyone else from Abyss but its easy to know who is who. they have 3 letter initials for all the characters, items, and everythin. yawp.. whoever does it will have to do textures from scratch, i dont think they have proper UVs either.


i do want to get mieu for sure since you need him( or was it a her??)  for the PSA. id rig richter too except i have enough on my plate. im gettin stuffed. i will get to him eventualy if you dont. ill try to get the ones i have planned done and when i leave on a trip for 2 or 3 weeks with family ill make sure to take my laptop with me and get a bunch others done. no work over there     Smiley


actualy i got 2 sword models for luke from a friend. one of em i asked for i thought was that one but.. i asked for the wrong one. isnt that one called the key of lorelei?

oh yea..   oops    i remember thinkin Ike first cuz of his large sword but now for marth cuz he can be ported all over the place. default moveset wise id put it over Ike.

its hard to focus on one import and take my time   x__x    theres alot i wanna do, some arent from Tales. as of now before i go on vacation with family for around 2 to 3 weeks near decemeber 10th or something. i want around 4 to 5 imports done. 1 is done but with a small transparancy issue id want fixed before release and the other is nearly done and wont have transparancy issues since he has no transparency.

 i wanted to rig asch soon for lilith's planned PSA. all thats somewhat done is his swallow furry arte. go look in her thread.

hey masal you said you have a planned Richter PSA, do ya have someone importing the model for you?

if i can get the model from tempesttime or LJSTAR i could import it for ya, probaly over marth. which is good, marth can be ported over ALOT of characters now if you plan to make her a PSA. that way you could keep focus on PSA'in stuff. unless you want to model import her yourself. the models imports im workin on are all nearly done with a few fixes needed here and there. right now im distracted with friends over so i dont think i can continue workin on em till later tonight.

the moveset and also see'in you guys work together to get a PSA done of an awesome character is kool. by the way, in the PM it sounded like you were refering to me as not knowing much about abyss. i will let ya know its one of the few games i played from start to finish.. i liked it alot.

all i could do is model import at the moment. so all i can be good for is help by morale support and. Phillia i never thought about using Mieu like that.. that would be awesome. i hope you guys can add in all of that while not going over the size limit. how would you go about gettin mieu in? model importing him over link's navi taunt object? i could hex out meiu's model from abyss PS2 files except without textures.

would that first import happen to be Philia herself?  hahah  i was planning on importin her somewhen, the dude that got me her model said he got the sword with it by the way. from ToVS. theres a OTHER dude that said he gots ALL the ToVS models and is workin on radiant mythology 3

and could we not just use the ToVS textures? Or would they be mapped differently?
most definetly their gonna map differently. i checked by dragging the textures on asch just to see and he turned all white. apparently you can rip the textures seamlessly from a emutlator with that " 3D screen print" program 3D Ripper DX. rippin the actual model that way is another story.. my brother gots a stronger comp that i could use to run stuff like that, ill have to ask to use it though.

go ahead and flood me with messages of yer plans. as for as the PSA status, ive focused on model importing while Inner started a Luke PSA of his own. i think he should be allowed to continue OR.. you guys can work together to get it done.

Yes, ramond, i do want you to stop the moveset. Please, im begging you to, me and Philia have had this planned for like 5 months now, and to see someone just take over after i asked for a model only....it hurts....alot....

But, inner, if you wouldnt mind, please send me what youve done for this, and everyone working on this, please send me the latest files for luke. Me and Philia will take it from here, please. Thank you.

my bad. we didnt want to go against you 2, we just had almost no idea who was doing what on the PSA. and heard almost nothing from you at the time. Inner is the one mainly workin on a PSA and hes agreeing to stop and share his build. i have done nothing to help with the PSA so its all up to you guys. as much as id want my specific moveset done, ill focus on gettin people imported.
