yea u need that detach by id thingy, though i think i once rigged everything and then seperated objects by id Once lol
Doing that didn't work for me. I rried that after rigging last night and, things....didn't turn out too well. So, I started over a few hours ago, and after I separated the objects, it's rigging just fine. Supposedly, when one is finished rigging a single mesh polygon, you cut the skin, separate the objects with the 3DS max script, and paste the instances of the skin mod back on the split mesh. However, when I did just that, the program didn't allow me to select "paste".
Maybe Studio Max 2011 does it differently. Either way, it will be a cold day in hell before I'm going to re-rig this thing, YET AGAIN.
Well that teaches me to not look at Nanobuds's thread for two days. Sorry your cat knocked your computer, I guess that explains why you haven't said weither or not you'd fix Bowletta's rigging, and it's a good thing that the only things SMG Bowser needs is recolors and figuring out why his eyelids don't change, all can (hopefully) be done without 3ds Max or anything huge like that. Also why can't you have 3ds max on your parent's computer, is it the size of how much memory it uses, or the price, because the Student one is free.
Speaking of the student version the ONLY difference is that you can't sell what you make. Otherwise it's the EXACT same program and has the same functionality as the professional version.
I suggest Kaptain K Rool's gun from DKC2, like how the vertex had it. And did you add bones or are those not leg bones that K. Rool's legs are riggec to?
Mariokart64n was kind enough to fix the rig so that the bones function properly, the problem is King Dedede's RLegJ and RKneeJ bones are in a weird position, finding the exact point to rig is difficult, but by no means impossible. As for his musket, I don't have the means of obtaining the model/.obj.
As of now, I don't know jack squat about ripping models from games, but the hammer for some reason is missing part of the handle, so it looks weird in Brawl Box. I had to move on to this project since my last one (Zora over Link) was put on indefinite hold, the person who was fixing the textures lost most of his data in a recent computer crash.
So, as it stands, there is a slight anomaly in the King K Rool WIP, but it shouldn't take that long to do.
Wow. No more imports ;-; Times like this call for drastic measures... Sell the cat, buy a new computer.
Nah I'm joking, it would be best to try to save up for a repair rather than buying a new one. That way it MAY still Atleast have your stuff. If not, then you can still download the necessities and start back importing. Downside is you'd have to start over. But still, I'd rather have to start over than not do it at all.
Exactly, tough times are times I don't want to deal with, but I do it anyway. Why? Because it's a chance to learn and to grow.
