That moment when you have the model all ready and then it turns out to be too much for Brawl to handle. Well I wonder how I'll solve this problem. He's twice Marth's size data-wise, the pcs is 1,192 kb while the pac is 2,362.


(The first picture is showing that I included the spec maps and a separate highlight for the eyes.)
He froze like 1 second after selecting him, and because the dae is 3,402 kb I know reducing textures won't help. I need figure something out here that doesn't require optimizing because that'll ruin the rig and texture mapping. And I used v0.74 here as well so the Tristripper was in effect. Would not have to be surprised if I had to restart completely, but I'd like to try and see if I can reduce the size first to see if I can save time. Im srs here

P.S. All three arms are rigged and work in BrawlBox. Undecided

But if you make all of these separate hacks, then this one wouldnt be the "Ultimate Defective Amiibo" cuz itll lack some defective parts...

it's what the guy on FaceBook called it so that's what I'm going to call it, if someone wants to combine all defective amiibos into one then go ahead

Progress on No Legs Peach: Done unless I should add CSPs and crap. Got all Brawl recolors as well as Fake and Dark versions despite most people not playing SSE with hacks (I'm assuming because most recolor packs don't include those versions, I know some do though), I also made the same edit to BlackJax's Well-Endowed version because I figured there'd be people who'd like to play as no legged peach with big tits. :| To complete even more, I edited the shadow models to not have legs (and for the Well-Endowed version to have bigger boobs) even though you pretty much never see Shadow Peach's legs. lol Perfectionist FTW


This actually took me longer than expected because 3ds Max made the dae files a good 4k bytes bigger which kept causing the game to crash, the only reason this works is because I used BrawlBox v0.74, which I will be using for all imports because it fixed the shader error that 0.71 had (I know "change the texref to true" but whenever I did that I still got errors when importing with 0.71), so yah the tristripper helped, and will help with the "Ultimate Defective Amiibo" which again, only calling it that because it's what the guy on FaceBook called it, plus....what else would I call it? "Luigi with Diddy's Cap in Samus' Suit with Marth's Sword"? lol If some one wants to put all the defects into one (or wants me to do that) then go ahead, you can name it "The Real Ultimate Defective Amiibo" if you want. lol
BrawlBox v0.74 does allow multiple bones to have the same name, so I will be able to make the Three Armed Peach with a third rigged arm, so I'll be doing that next. AWESOME 2.0!

Already started on No Leg's Peach, doesn't require a preview because it's a simple edit, gonna do Double Barrel Samus after I finish "The Ultimate Defective Amiibo", it's what the guy on FaceBook called it so that's what I'm going to call it, if someone wants to combine all defective amiibos into one then go ahead, but can I do the other individual defects, or does someone want to make it into a project?

Rigged, now to get the expressions and materials & shaders working.

I am going to make recolors that are literally the brawl recolors, I purposely avoided remapping any textures so people could just copy and paste any Luigi, Diddy, Samus and Marth recolors/retextures onto the model. Smiley

Being cross-eyed can be typical with more cartoony characters but it's evident you're going for realism there (even though that doesn't fit Smash Bros 64 very well).
However, the thin part might actually be on the fault of the model itself. I dunno.

Yah the face is only two triangles, wanted to keep it like that to reference how low-poly the model was in the original game since you only saw it when Samus was electrocuted.

Inspired by a FaceBook comment because it's becoming a common thing for Amiibos to be defective (pretty sure someone is doing it as a joke), I bring to you the Ultimate Defective Amiibo!

Luigi with Diddy's cap in Samus's suit with Marth's sword, over Marth of course. Wink Almost ready to rig, got to fix the fingers and a few other things.
Like if you read this....oh wait, this doesn't have a Like system. lol (purposely bad joke is on purpose)

Yes but a lot of the characters seem to be just higher quality versions of the Brawl models with different textures, it'd be useful for the new comers and characters with different designs like Bowser, Link and so on, but most of the characters would just be retextured & vertexed versions of the existing Brawl models. The stages would be lovely to rip though.

not all the models r on the model resource. I have the ripped files from the iso that i got from Twili on another site, and twili got said models from a wii u iso unpacker user that wont share his tools.
Wonder if the SSB Wii U disk works with that, I remember you or someone else saying that the tool doesn't work for all Wii U games...so because Smash Bros has been out for over a month, probably doesn't work. Course most would be useless for Brawl due to the high quality and the existing Brawl models would make a good enough base model, but Gmod & SFM would make good use of SSB Wii U models.

I increased the head size, added a neck and the bottom of her head and hair, also added a finger texture.
What do you guys think? (Besides the better face that MrUnusual is working on Tongue)

So do the posts above mean anyone can help me with semi-transparency? Whenever I try to add it, BrawlBox keeps crashing when I hit Save.
Semi transparency is a [censored] to work with. Half of the time it works for me, other half of the time it crashes BB. Sad
