You can do that without codes, I'm looking for a way so the other two don't show up if the stage is selected randomly. I'm grateful, it just wasn't what I'm looking for, thanks though!
Hey Mewtwo, I hate to put more crap on your plate, and feel free to ignore me (you're a busy man doing important work, I won't be offended!) but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at a help topic I made and giving me your 2-cents...
For the whole combining codes thing, generally it shouldn't mess up your codes if you copy the folders from the old package to the new, but that's really case-by-case. The reason the new pack is smaller than the old is probably just because they took some stuff out. They're always rebalancing stuff, so sometimes stuff is added, sometimes it's taken out. If you want to be official about it, just stick with what's in the latest version. But then again, this is all about customization so I would just play around with stuff, try to learn what everything is and find out how you like it best.
Blegh, I was hoping there would be a way to just copy Dialga's pac over the other two, but I guess I'm stuck with just having it frozen, oh well, thanks for the help.
It is, on the classic controller it's hold L/R for Dialga, X for Cresselia and Y for Palkia.
I'm trying to think of a way to swap the contents of the pac, sort of how some people do to have Sonic and Shadow at the same time, but I don't know how I'd go about it. Swapping everything causes a freeze.
I thought about that, but 99% of the time I just pick random, which is why I was trying to get rid of the others altogether. I think there's already a button you can hold to pick which version you get (like on Mushroomy Kingdom), I just can't find what it is.
I tried replacing arc 2 in Tengan_2/3 with the arc 2 from Tengan_1. It seemed to work once (I have another texture for Tengan_1 and the game booted up the original version, leading me to believe it was booting up my doctored Tengan_2/3) but it caused a freeze the 2 times I tried picking it afterward. Does anyone know if you can hold certain buttons when you pick Spear Pillar to pick which Pokemon spawns? That would help a lot in my testing.
Spear Pillar is boring frozen, but Palkia and Cresselia are too annoying, is there a way to fix it so that only the Dialga version loads?
There aren't individual rels for each version, so I couldn't use them to replace the Palk/Cress versions with Dialga, and just renaming the Dialga version to Tengan_2/3 caused a soft freeze. Any other ideas?
OK, I got this working by using rels to replace Pokemon Stadium 2 with stgTengan_1 and replacing Spear Pillar with 3 copies of stgStadium. Everything works fine gameplay-wise, the only problem is that now on Spear Pillar there are no sound effects and a couple of Dialga's visual effects are missing (the poof when he appears and the aura when he jumps into the foreground) Can anyone give me any ideas on how to fix this, or where the files associated with those effects are located?
I tried to take pf/effect/stage/rantou/stgTengan.pac and rename it to stgStadium.pac and it didn't do anything (not even a freeze surprisingly)
Part of Brawl+ is revamped, balanced out stages, which are in .pac form just like stage textures, so when you installed everything, the Brawl+ stage pacs overwrote your stage textures.
You can combine them in Brawl Box though, just open the Brawl+ stage's pac, and open the pac for the stage texture you want in another BB window, export the texture data from the stage you want the texture from then replace the B+ stage's texture with the one you exported.
If you go to Brawl Vault, look for a tab that says something like resources. In there is a really helpful program that will automatically keep your songs organized and make it so you never have to worry about manually naming songs again.
What hacked stages are you trying to use and what stages do they replace? Are they just textures or are they different stages from the original? Did they come with ".rel" files?
