1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: A Kick in the Brawlz (Aug 11: First textures) Chicken Chaser on: August 11, 2009, 12:21:25 PM
Well I have to admit, your Fox texture is definitely A LOT more detailed than mine and even better than mine. Someone here did bring up the fact about "duplicate" textures, but there are always pros and cons for each and every texture. It's up to the people to choose which they like best. Regardless, if anything more than "e-peen" I could care less about because I'm not here to out beat all other texture hackers. It's all about the different creativity and talent people have, not fame. That's just my belief.

Other than that, do keep up the good work.

I never said I would keep them to myself. Even if I did, questioning about it isn't going to make me release them any sooner.

'I' made the textures, so I should be able to choose whether I should release them or not. I'm also a Machinimator, so some of my textures that I showcase WILL be exclusive to me and my series only. If you want to talk to me about it, private message me, because this isn't the place to do it.

Edit: Although I sound like a selfish/harsh guy, that's just how I follow.

Alright, I am pleased to see how much people are interested in (specifically) the Assault Textures and how much attention it has received. I'll bring up Smash's first post...

Even though we may showcase our textures, it doesn't necessarily mean that we're going to make them all downloadable.

All I'm going to request is if I ever DO choose to make them downloadable, then be patient; please.

Alright, almost there! Definitely got somewhere by finally creating the .pcs. However...it just freezes in game which I'm sure is caused by the headgear. Any solutions? :/

Thank you, picano.

Alright, hopefully this will be the last question. I've tried to find the hex code 'FC1F' as stated in the guide to replace with my code '409F'...however I can't find it. I'm sure you're supposed to edit the texture to whatever you wish, index it (?), and then turn it into a .tpl. Not sure why the FC1F is missing? o.o

Alright, I actually went back to attempting hex coding for Fox's scouter. I've read up on the EE guide but I got as far as obtaining my hex code for his scouter color that I wish to turn semi-transparent:
0100000010011111 (409F) - This is my 'Tiamat475 V.2' Texture. (57% transparency)

So...I'm lost from this point, but I am willing to learn and understand. Just to make sure, would I replace the hex code in a .tpl version of fox's headgear? Or would I use the .targa file? If none of the above, please state what it is. Much appreciated if a basic list of steps to creating a semi-transparent scouter were posted here.

I think you guys would do yourselves and the rest of the texture hacking community a great service If you made Assault Fox available for download.

Please! we need a download link for assault fox

I'll keep the download in mind, as I've heard from other forums that this is in high demand for download. For now though, I feel it's not ready to be downloadable...yet.
