*Edit by Jack H.* - I attempted it while designing the Ike you see above. It slices him right in half, because the developers didn't decide to put anything behind his belt. Dang. -_-

Swapping Stage Backgrounds

A while ago I found that you can actually swap backgrounds, but the textures mess up.
Messing around for about 2 hours I've found out how to fix this and today i'll teach you how.



Things needed:
Brawlbox .60
Stage .pacs

STEP 1
Open Brawlbox .60
Open Up the .pac for the stage that contains the background.
Extract the model data as a .brres.
Extract all the textures and images.

Go into the stage you are editing and swap the background models (often ___enkei).


STEP 2
Save the file.
Find the .brres folder for the textures.

Go where you extracted the images, count how many images there are.
If an image isn't a part of the background, ignore it.

Now, add the textures

and rename them to suit the filenames.

DONE!

Ok since this is impossible you're out of luck.

None of this is possible.

-Ray Gun (has infinite ammo) shoots Smoke balls which release smoke on contact. I'd like to just spam Smoke Balls, without having to drop the Ray Gun, pick up the Smoke Balls, and throw them. Item modifier didn't work the way I wanted it to.  - Item modifier would be the only way to  do that and it didn't work

-Gooey Bomb's explosion is as powerful as a Blast Box's explosion. - No ones found the hitboxes for items yet.

-Ganondorf pulls out a trophy stand instead of a sword (Would it work in battle if it's never thrown?) - No ones found out how to NOT pull of Gdorfs sword.

- Kirby has a hat applied to him before starting the game (hat determined by character ID value) Different codes for all 4 players to have 4 different-hatted Kirbies in one fight. - No ones found out that.

-Ganon's sword is half its regular size - Can be done with models, not articles.

STUFF2o, have you edited the title screen?
File replacement code can't do that yet.

Currently it can only do

fighter
system
sounds
and stage


The title goes in menu2

For some reason the menus go in system.

Time as in how long it lasts?

Also, why don't you at least realease what you have, then maybe we can help a bit.

Also, I'm quite sure the value you gave for Falco's laser is wrong. Hex Workshop doesn't find and cases of 830282. There are 3 instances of 830207, and 1 of 83023E.

Quick way to find falcos blaster shot area is searching 430243


83 = flag
02 = Not sure, might be SFX

the damages are in the area too, havent found KB.

Not much can be said on how to do this but it's difficult.


You can't edit them with PSA, you need Hex Workshop.
I'll write a guide when I know more.
