1  Help & Tutorials / Help / What is wrong with my XML? on: September 18, 2013, 04:31:31 PM
Simply, the subject.
I'm trying to learn how to make an XML so I can replace music in Pokemon Battle Revolution.  I'm trying to use a Mario Kart Wii XML and edit it a bit, but with absolutely no luck.

Here is what I have in the XML:
Code:
<wiidisc version="1">
<id game="RPBE"/>
<options>
<section name="Options">
<option name="/PBR Hacks">
<choice name="Enabled">
<patch id="pbr"/>
</choice>
</option>
</section>
</options>
<patch id="pbr">
<folder external="/pbr" recursive="false"/>
<folder external="/pbr/sound/Battletopia09.brstm" disc="/sound/Battletopia09.brstm"/>
</patch>
</wiidisc>

Is there something I'm doing wrong?
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Gecko OS with USB Flash Drive? on: June 05, 2013, 03:36:55 PM
Title says it all.  It doesn't seem to detect codes on my flash drive.  16GB.
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Increase amount of codes with Riivolution? on: June 01, 2013, 01:55:56 PM
I remember I could use gameconfig.txt with Gecko OS when I used my 2GB SD card.  But now I use a 16GB USB flash drive for hacks and I've recently downloaded the cBliss pack.  I tried to put these together with the codes I have for my codes not to work.
I put the gameconfig in the root, right?  It's currently:
Code:
RSB?01:
codeliststart = 80570000
codelistend = 80580000
poke(800042B8, 60000000)
pokeifequal(803E9930, 4BFECA1D, 803E9930, 60000000)
pokeifequal(803E99A8, 4BFECA1D, 803E99A8, 60000000)
pokeifequal(803E9D5C, 4BFECA1D, 803E9D5C, 60000000)
I also checked my old SD card codes where I had the same code in my .gct file for Brawl.  Am I supposed to do it like that? o-o
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / ANY Brawlbox Version Corrupts Common5 (Riivo) on: January 26, 2013, 08:07:10 AM
The title.  This has been a problem for a while, and I decided to test putting in a common5.pac without editing it at all and the game ran fine.  But I added a custom portrait and it froze the game.
The portrait I added if it's important at all:

Any suggestions as to what to do?

OKAY.  So now I learned my Brawlbox is corrupted.  But -every- version I try corrupts my common5.pac for some reason.  I tested Brawl with both a fresh common5 and someone else's common5 and they worked fine.

Suggestions?
5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Multiple Problems on: January 04, 2013, 05:32:21 PM
I made the recent switch to Riivolution but I just learned that I can't have too many lines; this wasn't a problem back in Gecko when I could easily just use gameconfig.txt.
Is there anything that allows me to use more than 256 lines of code?  The Stage Expansion stuff really takes its toll.

EDIT: Alright, now I have a new problem.  I took out those codes and I've been messing around in SSBB for some time, and I put in a Travis Touchdown import over Ike's red color.  The BP and the import itself work perfectly fine.  I then tried adding a new CSP and the game freezes when I attempt to go to the character select screen.  I used to use this same exact portrait on Gecko.
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Result Screen Portrait Problem/Screen Shake Problem on: July 23, 2012, 08:42:51 AM
Basically, the title.  I've been playing Tourney for the hell of it and I realized some characters' portraits end up default, and I know they're the Result Screen ones only.  Kirby, Luigi, and Captain Falcon all show default.
Another problem I'm having is any time there's an earthquake, like in Brinstar, the screen tends to shake way too much.
Any way to fix either of these?
EDIT: I learned my files were deleted from my SD card.  But that brings up a new question; Is there any reason my files would delete themselves?  I had no way to use my SD card when they deleted themselves, so that really threw me off.
EDIT 2: I checked Brawl again.  The only characters that have no result screen portraits are: Luigi, Yoshi, Kirby, Pikachu, Fox, Captain Falcon.
7  Help & Tutorials / Help / Brawlbox continuously screws up. on: February 12, 2012, 02:59:27 PM
I have two versions of Brawlbox.  0.63d and 0.65c.  At least, I think it's C.  Whatever the newest one is.  ANYWHO.
I was screwing around with some stages the other day and when I tried to load one, I got an error when trying to view a model that said something like:

Attempted to read or write protected memory.  This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

I've been using BrawlBox for about half a year now and it was never doing ANYTHING like this until this weekend.  I then tried 0.65c and it will stop working when I try to view a model.  Any suggestions?
