That's perfectly fine; Biker Wario takes a bit of pre-thought to get looking nice.  Of course, if you stick close to the original schemes, black & gold can't really go terribly wrong.

I agree that they need to be included in some fashion; some of my favorite textures, particularly Maritimes, are alts.

Project: Black & Gold

Apparently uniform-color projects are the thing nowadays.  I happen to think that yellow & black costumes look awesome, and there are relatively few of them in vBrawl, and not a terrible amount of them on the Brawl Vault.

So yeah, project guidelines:
- Usable colors, in order of importance: Gold, Black, White/Silver, Brown
- Gold: Vibrant yellow with slight orange tint, perhaps slightly brightened/desaturated depending on the character (Heck, my avatar's skin tone's a pretty good color reference, actually)
- Black: Dark grey - black, can be given a slight red or blue tint on occasion
- White/Silver: Pretty much anything in the lightest third of the greyscale, pretty much fixed 0% saturation
- Brown: About 50% saturation, use mostly for small accents (eye color, for instance)

In general, aim for more vibrant costumes than vBrawl, but not glaringly oversaturated.  Since this isn't for official team colors or anything, feel free to make alternate versions of characters who already have costumes completed if your vision is substantially different.  There's always cBliss, after all.

Went ahead and whipped up a quick sample of Mirage Samus.

I dunno if I should switch the color of her arm canon with her lower chest and inner thighs. Gave the preview a bit of brightness, contrast, and sharpness so that it looks closer to what it'll look like in-game. Thoughts before I make a few fixes and then release?

I like.  Assuming the color's comparably saturated in-game, that looks just about perfect.

If anyone's interested, I've made a good number of vibrant "black and gold" textures that would fill some yellow (or black, in Mario's case) slots nicely.  Is there anything that's necessary to make them cBliss-ready other than having a properly uncompressed PAC and compressed PCS?

You can see the textures here, if you're interested.

Also, if you're using one of my Mars Ness-es for his new red team costume, definitely use the Fuel one, it looks loads better IMO.

So, how is the CSP / BP work doing? As I recall, all the defaults for the other two projects were finished, and I think I took care of all mine from Mars.

Also, I guess this means I can start up Project... Marigold? There aren't nearly enough good black/gold textures out there, and I've got a few done already.  I can't quite get into an orange-colored project, as (in my opinion) a lot of characters don't look too great in orange.

I still need to touch Maritime Yoshi up; compared to my other submissions, and really, just about anything else in the Maritimes, it looks really hideous.  Maybe I'll have time to do that in the next few days, idk.

Something much closer to the other color would be nice, and yeah, the buckle should probably be a cream color or such.  Otherwise, looking good!

So are Link and Sheik the only ones that don't have anything on the first page for Mars? Has Sheik even been worked on yet?

Yeah, that dark red looked a lot better.  I didn't know that Sonic's body was affected by those extra textures as well.  The black/white gloves look interesting, though.  Shame that the shoes end up being that awkward green color with the extra mask, though.

^Agreed. Also, I think the red could stand to be a bit darker and duller, possibly a *tad* less orange as well.

I like the top-right of the four Diddy designs; not sure what would look best as a design, though.  The star doesn't look bad.

The dust-colored feathers are still a bit radical of a change; I'd like to use one of the grey or dark blue versions, personally.

I still prefer the white/red dress as it fits the original theme better and it looks a bit more distinct from the original red-team costume.  I say submit 'em both in the main pack, as they both look great.

I don't know, I like the red-on-white a lot.  Perhaps you could make the Triforce a bit less gold?  I don't really have anything to critique about it, it looks great!
