If you want to add one of the STGCUSTOMs, you just need to have the stage roster expansion code in your GCT, and a custom SSS code. I think you might also need a common5 or sc_selmap that already has extra icons, but I don't remember EDIT: Yeah, there's a half-baked feature to add the new icons, but it doesn't actually put in the textures. Maybe I ought to fix that.
I'm working on getting the Costume Manager to work with BrawlEx now. It won't edit any of the BrawlEx files, but it'll read them to see what folder the character's in and what the costume->portrait mappings are. Here's a beta version - it's mostly done, but it only handles BrawlEx characters with IDs over 3F - i.e. it ignores any edits you've made to existing characters.
@ToadKart This works with any code set. Brawl-, or whatever you want to run. This works with hackless wii, but you have to find out some way to run the launcher. smashstack with normal SD->switch to SDHC, or letterbomb with SDHC
When exactly would I switch the SD cards? After clicking on Stage Builder?
Edit: Never mind, switching them after the 2gb card loads works. So now to just get FPC 3.5.3 or Triple Rasta to work with this and Brawl Ex.
There's File patch code 3.5.3 that allows 2 folders of characters and stages to be loaded. I don't think it's compatible with brawlex though. Then there's triple rasta which is like the one i just mentioned but adds yet another folder of characters. You switch through the rosters by leaving css, pressing a button combination, then upon going back you'll have loade your custom second roster. Oh and triple rasta probably isn't compatible either with brawlex...
Aww, really? I was hoping one of those would be compatible with BrawlEx.
Ah, that's right. I'll try Villager with Brawl Ex tonight. I've already added the Melee 5, so Rosalina and Villager will be next, and then Mega Man whenever Ness is able to be cloned.
Plus he's on DK, so some may not want to replace him which will become a moot point if/when Brawl Ex is able to clone him.
But K Rool is one of a lot of people's most wanted characters for SSB4, so I'm sure the finished product will get a lot of downloads.
BTW, I tried him out as soon as he was released and it's really impressive, especially for an alpha. Once DK is clone-able, I'm going to give him a spot on my roster.
I think I remember someone mentioning this early on in the BrawlEx topic, but I was wondering if it would be possible to make something like a Clone Manager? Like maybe it could tell you if there's something wrong with your setup and be able to fix it like the Stage Manager does, and could make creating a clone easier and less tedious? Not sure if a program like that would even be possible since Brawl Ex is pretty complicated, but it's just an idea that would help a lot of people that are having problems.
Anyway, great update on the Stage Manager allowing you to now change the songs as well.
