I recommend to use the Project M Launcher because I tried with Gecko and it failed. You can find said launcher either on Project M itself or on my pack.
EDIT: If it fails, then you did something wrong over there which after watching the video I can imply you didn't, or your Brawl disk is PAL.
Shovel Knight may be joining..... Also many PSA graphical changes and SFX fixes, and so many crash fixes that the game only crashed once while I was play testing with my friend, reason why the game crashed is because he used Ganon's side B but I am sure I can fix that.
The only way to clone characters with no ExModule is by porting the PSA to another character, which is mostly hard if you don't have the experience.
Some characters can be automatically ported (yet with work done by you) over others. Fox and Wolf have similar articles, but the boneset (I believe) is different.
Other characters can be cloned by modifying just the coding, as far as I know, to match the module files. <--------- This might not be true.
Example:
Spiderman couldn't be cloned when BrawlEx came out (he is a Sheik based character), so he was ported over Marth to be cloned. The one who ported him over Marth said once that it was easy due to Spiderman not using any of Sheik's specials, but I'm not sure if this is the reason.
In short: You need to port the PSA over a character with ExModule to make it clonable.
Hey Nebulon, have you ever done a succesful Bowser clone?
It seems way difficult to me to make it work. Post Merge: April 03, 2015, 10:50:59 PMAbout the old Vegeta PSA:
Yes it does freeze, but only when you add the included .sawnd file. Said .sawnd file deletes Snake's and will make him freeze the game (re-inserting Snake's sawnd file does nothing but remove Sonic's). Also, will make Vegeta freeze when grabbing.
As far as I know, that's the only problem. So you can add the PSA but not the .sawnd file. We need to create a new one or leave it with the default Wolf sounds.
well i wanted to use wario man files in v2 but he did not like my psa coding and would ways glitch out but no i dont use him at all also yeah you can test it out
my super shadow just uses a model changer ,super armor, and a time limit for super shadow but if i wanted to i could make it like super sonic with pressing a or b to throw chaos spheres but i wanted shadow to be less of a clone as possible but shadow already ported over a character and every thing works final smash and every thing just need to fix the boost and other small stuff
who saids that my shadow psa from wario has to be over wario for the brawlex. All i have to do it find a character to read my psa coding from wario so all i have to do is just copy past my psa coding to a brawlex compatable character. And edit the bugs and glitches out
Marth and Link are the best 2 options for that, I believe.
Unfortunately, no controllable Super Shadow. However, that's just my thought.
But shadow isnt brawlex compatible to being with? that was my point, your porting a character that can be brawlexed already.
Yes, he is.
But he replaces another character. and that's not the point of BrawlEx (even though, you can do that).
However, there are people who still like Wario. That, and this Shadow is the best Shadow ever made yet; if not, the most finished. (somehow it feels like it).
But have a side by side view of a few characters that I'm either working on or going to work on (with the exception of Brawl Ridley. He's just there for scaling purposes).
Characters in view: Bagan's Ridley, Deoxys, Raptor, Palutena, Meowth, Xenomorph, Zoroark, Waluigi, T-Rex, and Brawl/Super Metroid Ridley.
