271  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Project M+ on: March 12, 2015, 09:48:55 PM
Okay, my sd card is not locked. i am gong to restate my problem as clearly as i can. 1. Regular project M works. 2. i put EVERYTHING on the sd card EXCEPT for the rsbe code. 3. i started it up using the regular project m code. it started up just as it should withe the PM+ title. 4. i went to go play, but when i hit fight, i had no characters. 5. i used the code provided in the new 0.7 link. 6. when i started it up, it took me to regular brawl. 7. i cried (not really).

As you can see, the rsbe01.gct code does not support 4gb sd cards, but the one that came with 0.5 does. that is why i am asking for the old rsbe code. i dont want to use brawl dx because the characters alternate colors are random things like squidword or duck hunt.

Like I said, add the SDHC Extension code to your GCT.

That way you'll be able to use SD Cards with more than 2 GB.
272  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Awards - Full List, Claims, Updates on: March 11, 2015, 05:20:13 PM
Sorry if I necropost this, but how much has past since my last Moderation?

Also, which hack made me have the King for a Day award?
273  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: The Brawl Expansion Project on: March 11, 2015, 04:21:02 PM
I just tried to run this (the 2GB pack). When selecting Goku and Random, or Goku and Mario, it freezes when I select a stage. Also IDR if it's supposed to be this way or not, but none of the stage icons on the list is modded.

I'll try downloading the larger pack seeing if another SD card I have will work for Smash, but if it doesn't, any ideas? extracted all of the files to a new SD card. Thanks!

You're either missing the Battle Portraits for Goku or (in case if you didn't make him have proper ones) the character's module is corrupted.

Also, make sure you have all the needed files.

So my last question is now pages away, so I'll repost it to make sure someone sees it:
I still don't know where to put the code to make this hack work. I know it's supposed to be called RSBE.gct and placed in the codes folder normally, but I can't open the one that came with the download to add the code to it. Is that code just universal, and I need to create a new one with the File Patch Code from here and add the other code to it? How do add the other code to it? Just copy everything line for line (including the credits and the asterisks) and paste it below? Sorry for having to ask so many questions, but everyone here assumes that everyone knows a lot about this kind of thing. I don't. D:

Look for GCT Fusionizer in the Vault and follow its instructions to fuse 2 different GCTs.

And you need to add the whole code excluding the asterisks, or else it won't work.

Simply make a new GCT file with the code you want to add, name it code (or codes, I forgot).
Put both that GCT and the one included in the download in one same folder, and put the GCT Fusionizer.exe file inside said folder.

The next parts should not need more explanation.

If you're still having problems, you can send me a Personal Message, as this thread has gone off-topic.

Shouldn't have all PCS files been put in with the download of Frozen then?

All of them are in the download, as far as I know.
Because they are all needed to load hacked textures, models, etc.
276  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Super Smash Blast! on: March 10, 2015, 09:06:27 PM
Well played, good sir.
-tilts glass-

And yeah. I suppose you're right,
about the too many tutorials.
I just would like to assist, ya no?
If you want, then go ahead.
Though it isn't necessary at all.

The use of PAC and PCS files is actually the basic part of Brawl Hacking (at least for me).

BTW, I've noticed this isn't the right thread to talk about this.
277  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Super Smash Blast! on: March 10, 2015, 08:59:24 PM
No I don't have the PCS file. I don't even know what that is... Looked it up. And I sort of understand what it is now. Where can I get the files for the characters?

The PCS file is the costume file.
PAC files are only needed when trying to use the costumes in 1-Player modes.

But you need the PCS file in order to make the skin show up.

All characters have PCS files. Even the former hackers include them in their downloads.

Hm....
I'll probably do a Tutorial....

HEAR THAT, ALE?!
ME!

LOL! WHAT THE [censored]?! -Explodes-
No, I didn't hear that.
I read it.

And there's no need to do another tutorial about this as there are many good tutorials. This is not as hard as importing a model or SFX to the game.

Hello.
280  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Super Smash Blast! on: March 08, 2015, 08:55:57 PM
I don't know where that code is. And the download included the Gecko launcher. Do I remove that and replace it with the Project M launcher, or use both?

Look for the code here in the forums.
There's a thread about it.

And the fact that Gecko was included in the download doesn't mean that you're forced to use it.

You can either keep it there while adding the Project M Launcher, or replace it with it.

Now, just add the code and use the P:M Launcher. You should have no problems.
281  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Super Smash Blast! on: March 08, 2015, 05:33:34 PM
Yes. I've even tried programs to repartition it to free up space, but nope. I've almost given up with that. My Wii and Gecko can read the one from my 3DS though--Gecko finds the codes and says it applies them. Then I have tons of Pokemon stadiums in stage select, but that's the only thing that changes.

Use the SDHC Extension code for your 4GB card.
It should solve your issues.
Just remember to use the Project M launcher to launch the game, otherwise you'll get a normal Brawl.
282  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: KJP's Throne Room. Xenomorph in Progress on: March 07, 2015, 12:47:27 PM
Hey, uh, bit of an out-there question, but...

Does your Charizard hack work over Charizard? PM3.5, specifically?

No, it was ported over Link due to filesize and whatmore.

Unless you modify it, the Official Project M can't handle BrawlEx. So you need to replace Link when trying this Charizard in Project M.

So yeah, you'll have both this Charizard and the other Charizard together.

Ah, something new. I had forgotten about the STGRESULT.pac. Maybe this can fix a few people's problems.

I don't use the STGRESULT.pac file and I don't have problems.

The pack I have for download in the Vault has one, but I have started a new pack without said .pac file.

It isn't needed, unless you want more franchise Icons or Results names for your clones.
284  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Super Smash Blast! on: March 06, 2015, 04:18:02 PM
Seeing as no one who's responded can answer legitimately, I'll wait until a legit resolution can be reached.

Here, look at your legitimate resolution:

Let me express that it was never stated that EVERYONE has this problem, and that even if people have the essential files where they belong, the freezes might be caused by another issue. It's not completely unheard of.

1. I never said you stated that everyone has this problem. Even though you said that it was a BrawlEx COMMON problem, which is not.

2. There's another reason.

Probably you didn't configure the FighterXX.dat file to make it have No Result (not needed, but recommended).
If it has a Result, then you're missing the needed file.
To make things easier, just open the FighterXX.dat file and do what I said.

Otherwise, then you're either missing the Results portraits (most likely), the PSA you're using has a problem with the Results Screen (less likely), or you're just doing something wrong and IDK what it is.

Not sure but I recalled Olimar clones having issues with random crashes and pikmin glitches. While the topic's about, were those ever fixed?

No, the module file is still in BETA just like Captain Falcon and others.
