But all that aside, I guess this has been a really rough year for Flygon, and he deserves a break if he wants one. Thanks for making these imports Fly; it's been great to have you here and watch you improve. I'll be looking in your vault for new textures from time to time.
Realy ? I'm gonna check is PSA, see how he have done this.
I think he might've hexed it, but the truth is, the only real article editor I know of is the floating-point editor, and that hardly does anything of importance for complete PSA makeovers. Since most articles can be copied using model GFX, animations and PSA code, it's not usually a research subject very high on anyone's priority list. Articles are great because they can give a character projectiles or special states without sticking them in a big, long animation, but given the extremely limited amount of information we have about articles at the moment, trying to copy or edit them just doesn't seem like it'd be worth it.
That's TWO people you've inspired to finally join the community (at least in part) and make a post, Kyouma. You must be doing something right. Meanwhile, I'm trying to convince myself to give up my Luigi avatar right now... -_-"
Check out Lightning PSA made by Jrush64, and you'll see what I mean...
I hate to tell you this, but none of those attacks were articles. That can be done with a simple PSA code, and even someone like me can do it if he has a few hours free. Or someone could use the throw bone to do it in a half hour, but that's kind of cheating and it glitches some imported models.
To be fair, I *have* seen a few people able to modify articles... but only a few. Eldiran's Zero PSA, for instance, uses a modified arrow article for the fully charged B special.
MAKING an article? Um, no. That would be on par with unlimited character slots and interchangable PSAs. It's possible, but at this moment I don't know anyone who can do it and it will probably never happen.
Anyway, he said he needs to get a new monitor, so let's wait a few more days before offering suggestions. The project is nearly done, so I can afford to be patient for another week or two.
I DIDN'T SEE THIS ON THE MAIN PAGE!! Glad I checked here! This is amazing, and finally I can replace the Pokemon Trainer... this gives me a true reason to finally set up a new SD card.
I don't know if Brawl will even load SFX from a character who isn't in the fight... it'd be easier to just use an Ocarina code to switch soundbanks. It takes all of thirty seconds to do and doesn't involve messing around the PSA.
Is the rim effect that shine? That looks really nice. How will we know when the old characters are updated, aside from just searching through your library for hacks with recent updates?
Cool Final Smashes. You're right that they're overpowered for most players, but there are several of them that I'd like to modify and use in my personal PSAs-- if you don't mind, of course. I especially liked Ragnell's Tear and The Ceremony.
It might be faster just to copy the Final Smash code and models to a new .pac file than to delete all the non-original code in those movesets. Although for some characters (like Captain Falcon), I imagine it'd be nearly as much work either way...
I can't believe I haven't been following this thread... until now. *Subs* Had to read almost the entire thread to catch up. This looks like it's going to be a very cool moveset. Good luck with the transparency issue.
