Also didn't mean to be rude earlier, it was mainly directed towards that one person who said they're too lazy to make portraits or whatever their excuse was. Just really gets on my nerves when I see somebody say something like that.

I am willing to do cps for my hacks for now on. However, I haven't learned how to do so.

Can anybody link me a tutorial for this?

It's basically the same as recoloring textures, only it's a single 128x160 image for the CSP, and the battle portrait is 48x56. Use the Brawl Resource to grab a vBrawl common5 and individual InfFace###.pac files for the portraits.

Most are really easy to do, but some like Ganondorf or other characters with lots of details can be tricky. I wish I had saved templates when I was doing my old textures last year. I have templates for textures, CSPs, and battle portraits for Ganondorf, Snake, and Meta Knight if any of you guys are getting ready to tackle one of them.

OP shouldn't have to do all the work by himself/herself. The least you guys can do is make portraits for your own textures as you make/release them and not be total [censored]s with excuses like "I'm too lazy" and "I don't care for interface stuff", considering most portraits are easier to recolor than the textures themselves. You may not personally want portraits to go with your textures and make your game look cleaner and more professional, but other people do.

The simpler you keep the rules the better off you'll be.

Also, all of you might want to start doing vBrawl CSPs and battle portraits and release them along with your textures, because they will start to add up and you'll never want to do them.

Maritime Snake looks great in-game man. The water ripples on his camo look way more professional and natural than those ugly bubbles in the old Maritime Snake. Not to mention the shade of blue itself is closer to water than the previous one as well, which was closer to cyan.

There's nothing wrong with making Samus close to her default colors. Maritime Lucario for example has different colored eyes and a slight hue change to his fur. For Samus, just give slight changes in hue to the orange, gold, and red to make them light orange, light yellow, and pink respectively.

I've also started some URL formatting for the new UTCP thread for here and Smashboards while Apples is making some fancy titles and logos. As soon as I finish getting all the download links and images ready for each individual Mars/Minty/Maritime texture, we'll need to start making vBrawl CSPs and Battle Portraits for each texture that doesn't already have one. For this, I'll definitely be needing some help. Stock icons would also be massively appreciated.

Yeah, I tried to incorporate some blues into my Samus but it didn't look very good. So I just settled on using cyan for the highlights, and silver with a small blue tinge.

A lot of the newer ones coming out much better than the first ones, though. Definitely see some improvement from some of you guys.
