BlackJax96 and Dantarion talks about brawlbox in IRC

Had fun and had great adrenaline rushes during convo, best 48 minutes to end my day and go to sleep :-)

Does anyone know where these values are actually LOCATED? There's gotta be default values somewhere.

http://opensa.dantarion.com/wiki/IC-MemoryMap

I really need to figure out where they are.

A "memory address" doesn't help at all; I don't have a USB Gecko...

Dantarion wants you to get into the IRC BJ96, go to the #projectm irc chat.  Hopefully you both can figure this out.

Edit:

omg all this convo is making me hype... <3 IRC

By reading your post There might be a possibility, but I will let BJ himself point his base answer.

@BJ96:  I have mine since 2008, I don't know if they still sell them.

@highlight the collision bubble when the event is selected:  Fine by me.  You are amazing and still impress me with little stuff that will be tons useful to many of us Smiley

he said data through usb gecko is useless to him. Im srs here

He said nothing about "uselessness" so you are putting words on BJ96 posts that he did not even typed :-/

On topic once again:

Looking forward to more feedback/cookies/spoiler/teasers

EDIT:

when we click bones, they get a circle with line colors (x/y/z rotations) so I want to know if clicking a hitbox will make the hitbox get a diff color (yellow for non selected and prolly orange for the selected one) and maybe if we click in the moveset editor (psa part) and select offensive collision ID-03 to automatically highlight the bone/hitbox with ID-03

is that in?

Same with me, $50 bucks.

On topic: @pikazz -  Can you show me zelda's Fair or Bair initial hitbox where the sweetspot is in and also show her hurtboxes? as a box of cupcakes spoiler/teaser ofc ^^
188  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Brawlbox Stuff on: June 13, 2012, 07:24:07 PM
if I knew how to use my usb gecko I would use it to locate what you are needing.  But sadly I only bought it to change codes "on the fly"

I don't need my USB gecko anymore since I only needed it cause PSA wasn't available to us and codes were the only way to change damage, knockback and all.

My usb gecko has dust and spider web XD, but it still works Tongue

pikazz:  how is the moveset editor?
190  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Brawlbox Stuff on: June 13, 2012, 05:18:11 PM
So can someone explain me the Kinect thing?  What will it do and what will be the benefits?
191  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Brawlbox Stuff on: June 13, 2012, 05:53:22 AM
sure

body/bone collision request is done.

Heh easy request is easy, I guess u were not kidding ^,^

thanks
192  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Brawlbox Stuff on: June 12, 2012, 05:08:26 PM
K, super easy request is super easy.
You're talking about the event literally called "Bone Collision" right? Because hurtboxes aren't the same as hitboxes and bone collisions aren't technically HIT boxes, so I just need some specification XD
I think he means he wants bone collisions to show up in bb like hitboxes do. And with different colors for the type of collision it is.

PSA event:

bone collision
parameter1: bone ID
parameter2: (same as in body collision)

so when called on brawlbox to show the "hurtbox" with the collision the psa calls example:

0 yellow = normal
1 greeb = invinsibility
2 blue = intangible
3 blue = intangible (no flashing)
4 blue = intangible (quick flashing)

EDIT:

and also the Body collision event (all hurtboxes get this event attributes)

to also show the preview of the collisions (all of them) with the color of the type of "body collision"

EDIT 2:

BlackJax:  Will brawlbox use the attribute characters uses? (the size attribute which actually resizes the model via psa)

so that viewing hitboxes is more accurate in brawlbox as it will be ingame.

EDIT 3:

The size attribute is used in all Project M characters, this request might help them make the game more precise and solid.

*moans* great DnB!  \w/ ('^.^') \w/

PMBR member said something and I want to make sure if it would available to us in .67

Code:
17:18 <MonkUnit> BrawlBox doesn't display invincibility and such like Melee does (blue and green hurtboxes)

Green bone collisions are already Available in brawlbox, which show invincibility frames.
Blue bone collisions would be needed to be called with PSA, Blue means intangible

hope to read from this soon :-)

EDIT:

Feel free to post all the cupcake teasers you want Awesome Face

pikazz I'll be waiting for feedback/spoilers/reports Smiley <3

Brawlbox .67 is nearing... and more with a beta tester already in :-)
