You have your CSPs in a completely wrong directory, and the place where you put them made them freeze. they belong INSIDE sc_selcharacter, INSIDE your common5. The place where you had your CSPs is for Results Screen Portraits( pf/menu/common/char_bust_tex,) and by the sound of it, it seems that you did something completely wrong with them, like renaming an image into a BRRES.
Ah okay, I was using libertyernie's Costume Manager but I guess I dropped my portraits to the wrong area. Thanks! Will report back when I can.
Need some help! I just overhauled my SD card with the latest version of this. Got the codes right and the Common5.pac and everything (at least I think so). The preview in Stage Manager seems fine, the CSS is fine but it isn't loading my CSPs which I have in pf/menu/common/char_bust_tex, and the SSS looks fine, all the stages and protraits are there, but it freezes (loud buss) right after I select a stage (still ON the SSS)
Any ideas as to what I could be missing? I'm thinking there might be a conflict with the different portrait/common files, but I'm not sure what I should try. Please help!
Thanks! Was missing Mario Bowser and I think I spotted Subspace Bowser in there. The only two Bowser textures I was missing. Only downside to Imgur is no file names like on Dropbox.
Been working on trying this out and replacing a much older version I have on my SD card. Were you aware that Z57 plays the OoT Medley, not Ballad of the Goddess?
Also, I can't seem to find the info anywhere so I thought I'd ask here, but is there absolutely no way to ADD more tracks to one of the custom stages? I have the three different versions of that Great Desert stage from Monster Hunter with it's own track, I'd love to just combine the stages into one slot with an ASL code, but I'd hate to be stuck with just one song. Same goes for stages like Great Bay and Skyloft.
Why are people asking for certain characters? ASF1nk has said multiple times that the code is customizable. He even said it on the last page.
Well, he did ask if people wanted the code, I was just agreeing with the people that it's definitely not needed for everyone since not all characters have such a good selection of textures as others.
I agree with the people saying 15 might be "too much" for some characters merely because there just aren't very many good textures for characters. If it was "all or none" I'd be happy at keeping 10, but if we could pick and choose which characters got 15 though, that would be great, I can easily add ones for "popular" characters like Peach, Zelda, ZSS, and Captain Falcon.
Also if rsb4 was default and you didnt have all your extra pac and pcs files than that is why it froze, you need all extra pac and pcs files for cbliss
Yep, that did it! 4 cBliss Marios don't freeze at the end of the match anymore!
This. There is actually a starter pack someone put in the vault that fills all of the blank cBliss spaces so it won't freeze.
Already applied it. Though with this working now I can start seeing just how much I can fit on my 2GB card. I'm still getting random End Match freezes from certain 4 Character combinations, but I'm pretty sure that's the cBliss code and not your code. and is a matter of filling the folder on the SD Card with more files from the ISO.
EDIT: UGH! Random CSS Freeze. I think I'm just going to switch to 3.5.1 for now. While rare and certainly not unplayable, I think the two codes just get fussy when all 4 players are involved. The whole reason I originally gave this a look was a chance for extra costumes and I think cBliss covers it quite well. It was actually difficult to find costumes I liked to fill out cBliss, doing it again for all characters just isn't worth the hassle for me. Plus the lack of space to hold two full "sets" on a 2GB SD card.
Don't get me wrong though MW, you're doing some AWESOME work!
Just to throw it out there, be careful doing a 4 player match with Sheik. I tried using Falcon, Peach, G&W, and Sheik in the same match; Falcon spawned, Peach spawned, then halfway throught G&W's, entry it crashed. I tried it again, only without Sheik and it worked fine, then tried with Sheik again and it crashed again. I was only using 2 cBliss textures of the 4 characters and the Sheik one works fine in other matches, so I don't know if it's just a random bad combination or what, but if any characters are likely to have problems, I would guess Zelda/Sheik would be one of them. The main reason I'm mentioning this is because aside from this one time, it hasn't crashed since I first got it fully working, which was about 3 days ago.
Are you gecko or Riivo?Also, I had a specific crash with specific 4 characters and found deleting my common5.pac was what fixed it. But then the crash was for the results screen, not the start of the match.
Ok I shall test again then -_- EDIT; Reformated SD, Used FPC 3.5.3,. the same isues ,, always.. the same.. issues...
4 marios kills my game after a match, 4 yoshis kills my game before the match starts, so diddys are you using a non moddified iso?
Do you have a common5.pac? Delete it, because that helped me (for 3.5.1 anyway)
EDIT: Finally had a chance to try it. Sorry to say MW, but I deleted both common5.pacs and it still freezes with 4 cBliss Marios :/
The only thing I can try, but can't actually do is make two copies of the same folder because there's not enough room on the SD card for me to have two copies of the same folder.
You said you modified your code so that RSBE is the default instead of RSB4? Did you try it out AFTER you made these changes, because I'm thinking cBliss doesn't like using RSB4 as the default.
My only other guess is that I have all the stage expansion stuff in my primary and not my secondary and maybe that's somehow causing it. I've been using standard stages for testing though.
Okay! I removed the common5.pac and using the same characters DON'T freeze the game anymore. I had a problem with having 4 Kirbys freezing on the SSS, but I just added all his files from the Brawl ISO and that works fine now too.
Will try with 3.5.3 and Classic when I get a chance.
Good news is, I rebuilt the GCT from scratch with Notepad and Ocarina like ASF1 said. One with 3.5.3 and the other with 3.5.1. The 3.5.3 still crashed with 4 Marios, but the 3.5.1 didn't! Seems to work great now! I really would add to the OP that you MUST recreate your GCTs from scratch, since I know I'm not the first to have GCT problems.
The bad news. It still seems to crash (loud noise crash) at the end of a match with certain 4 Player matches. It froze during one match and I couldn't recreate it (seemed to work fine the next time I loaded the game) I played about 10 or so matches until I finally got another crash. This time I wrote down the characters I was using

Used these characters as I rebooted the game and I recreated the crash.
Is there a chance it has something to do with my common5.pac? It seems once I put the files for portaits and stock icons from the cBliss archive in info/portrite, menu2/sc_character.pac, etc the portraits I had in my common5.pac seem to be overridden by the ones from the cBliss pack. Is it safe to delete the old sc_selcharacter and sc_selmap in my common5.pac (or maybe delete the common5 all together) and leave the ones from the cBliss pack? Because I have a hunch that having the two might be interefering with each other and that's what's causing my problems.
When you're using 3.5.3, are all the needed pac/pcs files in both sets of folders?
Have you tried the 3.5.3 in an edited iso with all the needed stuff in it?
Yes, I had all the files in both folders. I don't think it's 3.5.3 related though since I tried using the standard 3.5.1 and the standard RSBE folder with the standard code. The only thing aside from a couple of SSS freezes is using 4 Marios (only the extra textures) and it freezes before getting to the Results screen.
Has anyone else tried loading 4 Marios and getting to the Results screen? Just wondering if it's just me and shadow?
If worse comes to worse, maybe I'll just try mochtroid's advice and start fresh, but I'd hate to scrap all the work I've done if I can avoid it.

Then I thought that I F---d up my iso, so I loaded the game without codes, and I didnt had any problem and then I thought that I F---d up my selcharacter and selmap files, so I used CBLISS 1.5 default ones.. beeeeeeeep again
I want to try with CBLISS 1.1 codeset. I was happy with that codeset, I want to test with it I tested with It. and I have the same Issues, well I want to test with CBLISS 1.1 KIT, not just the code.. i Tested CBLISS 1.1 codes ONLY, and it CBLISS worked with no ISSUES, ussing and not using CBLISS 1.1 kit
the colors or order are not relevant.. it just beeps when 4 copies of the chars i mentioned ar in game, or after the match ends in the case of mario
I used normal and custom stages.. I have the same issues .. i had tested 10 characters, the ones that I mentioned have issues only

I FOUND THE REASON OF MY FREEZING ISSUES, after I tested FPC 3.5.3 with CBLISS 1.1 codeset.. My game frozee in the marios yoshis and diddys matches again... so my conclusssion is..
FILE PATCH CODE 3.5.3 is not compatible with CBLISS codeset... well I can finally die.. lol

I just tried the 4 Mario setup myself and I get a "loud" crash as the match ends. Tried it with both 3.5.3 and the included GCT with the standard FPC. Crashes both times. Even tried adding other files from the Brawl ISO like fitmariospy and fitmarioentry. Nothing.
EDIT: If you see this ASF1, using Gecko here. EDIT 2: And yep, I do have your stgresult.pac in the stage/melee folder.
