Yes, that must be it. My pal never told me the full story, so he might not have told me the real reason why the guy I'm mentioning got banned...but I didn't knew that there was no rules against jokes, so I'm sorry if I took that too seriously
You really shouldn't listen to people who "don't tell the full story". The staff here isn't a bunch of stuck-up, irresponsible idiots. If he got banned for a "joke hack", the hack was either directly insulting someone, or a theft, or anything else prohibited by both the forum and BV rules.
I've seen several hacks I thought of a wisecrack to throw at it, but, in my mind, it is inappropriate to report something just because you want a joke to be heard (or read). Kinda [censored]ish if there was an actual problem with the hack and a joke report just sits over the hack indefinitely...
The thing is, a report means "something is wrong with this hack". There is a reason why there are special filters on the vault that allow users to filter out Reported hacks. So whenever you're reporting a hack, you basically remove it from the Vault for a bunch of people. You also make it impossible for anyone to report a legit problm with that hack. I mean, it's a little bit like calling 911 to make a prank. It's not like the problem is you having a sense of humor, but more like you're holding the line when someone might actually need it.
It's still related to the codes in the OP, ergo it's on-topic.
The thread author mentionned that they had to be used at your own risk, and advised to backup your saves. And you guys have already mentionned your stuff. You said it once, no need to repeat it every single time someone says it works fine for them. That would be the definition of spammy.
I don't really care about all that PMBR secrecy jazz and whether those codes are actually faulty or not. But this topic isn't going to become another place here for PMBR members to have an argument with other hackers. So whatever the heck P:M has to do with these codes really doesn't need to be discussed here.
And in the mean time, I suggest that everyone here uses these codes with caution, and suggest that people who reported crashes with those double-check that it isn't caused by another faulty modification of the game. Or that these codes aren't different from what they believe are outdated codes.
Where is my over 9000 pin? I'm collabbed in the Goku mod. Infact a few of the collabs haven't received that award.
SDo0m forgotten count: 3
Again, something I've mentionned a number of times, the automated scripts can't give the Favorite'd awards and up for collabs.
So if I want to give those, I need to manually scroll the Stats page on the Vault, and add each single award manually, including for some of those ridiculous packs which have like 12 users collabed. And since those collabbed awards haven't been added in months, there was a huge pile of them to do. It's something I don't really have the time to do as I did in the past, so I apologize for seeing posts like that, setting to do it, then remembering I have something more urgent to do in the next 2 hours, and forgetting about it.
And what was up with that crazy shiz that happened last weekend where I and some other people who had nothing to do with me were collabed in a stupid hack named Winnerz that didn't even exist? I checked and saw that the person who made that picture collage if you could call it that was banned.
Eh, just an old bitter dude who keeps spamming the board with his fantasies over some users he's obviously obsessed about. He can't seem to get away from this place, it seems.
We'll try and see how we can make so it doesn't happen again. Though the guy is quite obstinate, so I dunno how well it'll work.
While I'm taking care of those awards, I was brainstorming on how to make the Shadow award look less of a pleasant thing and more of a punishment, as originally intended.
There were three designs that came out of it, that went incresingly far in their terribleness and goofiness.
So yeah guys, choose which one you like the best (worst?):
inb4SJS comes up with something that tramples all three into the ground.
I have reached 10000 "Murders"... there's an award for that right?
Given, you murderer.

Since time passes and not a whole lot of people managed to register in time to get the Veteran award (registered here back in 2009 and got at least 1000 posts), I'm adding a second rank to it.
KCMM Old Timer goes to the ones who registered in 2009, and the KCMM Veteran one will go to anyone who registered in 2010. The 1000 posts requirement remains the same for both ranks.
I changed the name of the first one because "Texture Artist" was already taken by Red for his texture tournament. So I put it in French instead because why the heck not.
Well, okay, stay on your Wii then, if it's better than Windows 7. oô
In any case, we've thought about it, and not considered it an interesting idea for the boards. For instance, I really don't believe in your claim about seeing many other users seeing a use for it. Most users on the boards have perfectly working computers, or don't need to write overly large posts on such a regular basis. Your case is such an incredibly intricate (almost unbelievable...) set of circumstances, it's pretty much an exception.
So yeah, I am really sorry about your technical problems, but we aren't going to do "something as simple as this" for you, if you can't do "something as simple as" finding decent internet solutions yourself.
Your Status: - You tried to hack a connexion by jumping networks without a firewall, which got you infected with something bad. - You have absolutely no idea how to solve this issue, and seem convinced that there is absolutely no way to do so. - It's been the case for something like a year now. I definitely remember you asking that many many months ago. - It will take years before you're able to fix your situation... really?
Your Expected Solutions: - Having us code in a new checkbox that would only appear under specific thread-owning conditions - Then a new permissions that would cause it to appear only for certain members. - Then make you a specific membersgroup which wouldn't realistically have anyone but you inside, because nobody on this forum would have such an overly complicated set of issues anyways. - So basically, giving you an arbitrarily-decided privilege over all over users on the boards.
Here are my suggestions: - Cyber cafés, colleges and stuff should help you to find and/or download your fixes. - Purchase a new Windows installation instead of going for a broken ISO. - Linux? - Find a computer fixer and let him take care of it.
- If all else fails, learn how to short answer? Looking at your post history, most of them could have benefitted from a bit of concision on your part, which would help considerably on the character lag thing. It's not like I can give lessons about wordiness, but the fact is that I didn't wreck my computer and you did, so you should try to adapt, and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from it.
This is great, I did tell Omega that the Attack100 was too powerful though, I tried to mess with that but it broke the PSA so we said forget it. I'll try and do that when I can actually test it.
You should probably directly PM Majora/Black Boo for feedback, since he's the one who's written that blog post. I'm merely the messenger.
*Checks and realizes he still doesn't have his Over 9000 Award*
*Cries in deep misery*
Sorry about that... The three awards for single-hack DLs do not seem to be working all that well. I'll probably do a quick sweep in a bit, find the people who didn't get them automatically, and award them manually.
Okay, so. Omega asked me to revive this thread he had deleted in fit of ... something, I dunno.
I'll be putting a few conditions out there so he doesn't forget about it or anything:
- This is the one and only time I do this. Next time, the thread will stay in the Bin and you'll all lose your hundreds and hundreds of posts made here.
- I don't want to have and intervene here for any sort of drama, OP cleaning or credits issues like I had to, once. You wanted this thread back, so I expect you to keep it in good shape and not a spamfest.
- Also, considering the [censored] it's put me through, I expect a public explanation about that poster right above me.
[And yes, all posts before this one have the Recycle Bin icon. That's what happens when you delete threads and revive them.]
